I have an optimus black since 2012 and like 4 months ago I have been having a problem with the camera when I try to record, it records like in slow motion with the stock Cyanogenmod 10 4.1.2 camera and with no sound or chimpunk sound with Camera ICS+ app
Do you know any method to solve it?

I guess bad recording is a related bug. Anyway, try reflashing the rom. But CM camera has a bad quality recording anyway so if you want high quality you should go for ROMs based on stock ics. Much better camera on IZS or Marvel.

You don't have that problem only on camera...but on every sound recording. You can test it with the Android's stock sound recorder.
The only way I found to avoid this, is to flash the CM10 stable build and NOT REPLACING the stock CM10 kernel.
I was running CM10, a newer build, from 01/01/13, and I had the same issue. I tried wiping data, tried the stock camera...and finally I decided to try the sound recorder. The chipmunk voice was there, on every app that was recording the sound, I think it is a codec issue.
Then I reverted to CM10 stable, and tried the same combinations, with many kernels. I was able to get a decent sound recording with the stable build, but only with it's stock kernel. That's what I'm running now on my OB.
If I even try to replace the kernel, the issue will come back.
I changed the ROM to Zeus 2.3 version 7 and it works GREAT Overclock, excellent governors, customization, undervolting and Photo and video quality increased a lot! I recommend that ROM really!!!

Hey guys was just wondering if there was a fix for the camera issue on miui 1.8.5 rom, its very laggy, quality ain't great and right when u take a photo goes all fuzzy wit green screen, its an amazing rom but wit a 8mp camera the camera software lets it down a bit

Yes, it is a known issue.
You will see a green colored distortion when you click a photo.
however the final image when viewed from the gallery should be of better quality (if not best quality)
it is really a great rom, but no support for the IncS.
i assume you have recently started using this rom, you will find a few more bugs soon

nothing works actually, this problem is in CM7 too, I've tried all settings+tiamet kernel.
Hi.
At the moment I am using the Nova HD Plus ROM, which is a great ICS Kang, but I sadly cannot record a thing with it. Tomorrow I am going to a Sports event I would like to take some videos.
Is there something I should be aware when downgrading?
Also which ROM provides great quality videos. I used to use temasek`s KANG ROM and since he is back, I might use his ROMs again, but are there any ROMs with better video quality? Also, which kernel to use with?

Dont think that you should worry about when changing rom. Except that you have to do a full wipe!
Go for Tamaseks KANG and Etana Kernel. Best performance and stability.

Due to the lack of media acceleration, video recording doesn't work yet on CM9. We just have to be patient.

If you would rather not risk a downgrade you can download an app to record in standard definition. I don't recall the name of it though, but I'm sure you'll find it around here if you search for it.
And I think a full wipe is enough, not sure if a "backtoExt3" is necessary though.

Do you mean the best camera app ?? The stock app is good but using another one will not change allow you to record movies in 1080p with the GT-I9000
I mean which ROM have best stock camera. In last cm10 camera app have many new options but is stil weak compare to Samsung stock camera app. Question is best quality picture and video is in ROM...
I try many roms in last couple days fear my sgs die from to much flashing . So far last Samsung oficial have best camera.

I have tried several Roms and Kernels but no luck soo...
I need some good JB Rom combination where HD Recording WORKS SMOOTHLY.
On other ROMs , HD was worse than 240p , i mean the framerate ofcourse (quality too)
I could not find any ROM with Smooth and Quality HD Recording
Can you guys help me ? Please.
Any help will be appreciated.
P.S. It would be nice if the ROM would have good performance too

"Half" HD (720p) worked on my i9000 best ever with stock Froyo.
Now I can't even use 720p, I've enabled 409MB of memory and it disabled 720p recording.

Yes, correct- I use i9000.
Besides the fact that we need different ROMs for i9000 and i9001 I hoped you could benefit from my information. Stock ROM had good working VR and really nice IQ quality.
Videography is my big hobby, so I'm anyway not a big fan of HD recordings with a phone- I rather use hacked mirroless camera with truly great lens instead.

Our i9000 on 4.2.2 videorecord perfect on LiveOC 120% and use Camera JB+ application. Try it! Especially on 44100 sound discretisation.
I think this problen arises because JB roms is not optimised for 512mb ram. Try KK rom. Video recording in they is good and smooth. Or try kernel with low user memory 350mb e. g. but I'm not sure that it will be works.
