25GB Drop Box

Has anyone got the 25gb of free drop box in the uk when buying the HTC One ?

I haven't had a htc phone for years .. im hoping for the 25gb when my one arrives Monday
I have had galaxy devices and only got it once , fingers x we get it on the htc
which device did u have ? ive traded up from the note 2 to this beauty :laugh:

i have the i9100, i got the 25 GB when i flashed 4.1.2 Samsung testfirmware last year. so yeah it would be totally awesome if i get additional 25GB
After I saw presentation of Galaxy S4 i immediately ordered the ONE next day even though you cant remove battery.

I only have 2GB showing up in my account which i created on my phone...

I got 25GB from Sense and 50GB when I flashed S3's ported ROM. I have around 75 GB in my Dropbox.

To get the 25gb you have to do 5 of the things on here:
https://www.dropbox.com/gs
Then open the app on your phone then you should get an email to say you've earned more. I've been given 23GB extra.

I ask about this issue Dropbox team and they write me that if you register before any HTC phone you not get extra space for HTC One on this account, if you want get this free space you need register new Dropbox account. this is little crazy for me but I get this info from Dropbox Support.

If it is anything like when I first signed up with my HTC One X, then it can take several days before you get the email through. If it hasn't happened after a week, send them an email. It'll get sorted eventually.

I got my 25GB dropbox space immediately by following the instructions.

I never got my storage, sim free device in the UK.

Got my 25gb or should I say 23gb of storage right away... on a sim free uk htc one.

Got mine i now have 81 GB of storage, had 56GB and the extra 25

Got mine right after the setup. I think you have to use the photo upload feature once.

I'm on a sim-free device, also in the UK.
I got my 23gb. Seems to be a bit patchy.

If it's like when I got my one X you need to follow a set of instructions to get your 25gb space, I remember I needed to complete 5 out of 7 tasks like using Dropbox features installing it on another computer...
Just check the getting started page or something like that

I didn't get mine, but I didn't expect it. I had it from a previous HTC phone (expires December this year), and you are only entitled to it once per account.

If you read up on the drop box site if you had free space from another htc sense phone like one x you will not get it this time.

I got mine immediately as well (o2 Germany). Still got the 25gb from my old Galaxy S3 as well, on the same dropbox account, activated approx. 9 months ago.

i have a 50 GB box cloud, dating back to feb 2012. when there was an offer for lifetime for new android users.

Yeh I got my extra drop box storage and once I'd finished it said I have 73.3 gb left don't know why I've got so much storage but I'm not complaining

It's trigger once you do a photo upload. You get an email. Mine was 2 days later.

yeah me too i got it two times and so i have 76,375gb. it was activated by first time loggin in into dropbox

Still none for me, sent a message to dropbox support but no response.
UK sim free.

Nexus 4 Israel Thread

Hi all,
This type of thread exists for other places so why not for here
Sure the Nexus 4 is not officially sold (by Google at least) in Israel but it is the type of phone that is sought after abroad because that type of thing happens with Nexus devices. So lets have random (but not too random) taking about using n4 in Israel etc.
How did anyone else get their n4?
Well I am not in Israel all the time but I got my Nexus bought by a friend in UK and shipped to me in Ireland. I use Golan telecom and signal had been great.

i've bought a nexus 4 yesterday really enjoying it im from israel too i got the 8GB for 1770 shekels

Just received my N4 yesterday, from a shop called Dor Mobile. It arrived a week after my order was placed, which included Saturday and Independence day, so I am very satisfied with my purchase.
The phone is 302K, the new type with the nubs on the bottom.

Not living in Israel, but Israeli living in the US.... I don't know if this counts . Anyway nice to see a Israeli place here.
I got my N4 2 weeks ago through T-Mobile. My workplace boos bought it for me, after using a cricket Huawei Ascend for 2 years, he said I need an upgrade... I didn't complain about ... I've been using Android tablets since the Viewsonic Gtablet, Ace Iconia 500 and my last one was a Pantech Element. All rooted and modify by me.

I received my N4 in around January 20.

Using my Nexus 4 for about 3 months and loving it.. switched from sgs1 they only thing that annoy me is the battery life.. one week I get good battery time and then without touching the setting or something it become ****

For me, I got root when I installed cyanogenmod, but it does not necessarily need that. But as far as I can tell (I helped a friend root etc recently), you need custom recovery which needs an unlocked bootloader. That's fine really, but unlocking bootloader wipes the device - apparently a Google security measure to keep personal info safe but its a pain if you have used your phone for a bit.
But I can do a mini guide here later cause the process is pretty easy. But as summary it is:
1) Get Google sdk and use it to download platform tools and driver
2) Backup data
3) Unlock bootloader
4) Flash custom recovery
5) Download Super SU from play
6) Get Super SU to install root and busy box from recovery
Oh and I guess you could find a toolkit to automate it.
For the Hebrew, I have been using swift key. It's pretty good. Hebrew is a bit work in progress but improves. Occasionally have problems detecting ה- ל- ב- etc at the beginning of words but generally has good swipe typing (they call it flow typing, if you are looking to activate). You can always try out the trial for a few weeks. It's the full version but with a time limit of 30 days or something.

CyanogenMod has Hebrew swipe typing on the android keyboard, works great!

Besides, I highly recommend CM, in my opinion its the best ROM out there for the N4!

CM10.1 is the only CyanogenMod available for n4. I just use nightly builds.

Google does NOT want you to be able to store lots of things on your device. They want you to use there Cloud services. This way they see more about you . See more about your Habits and so on. As well as get most of your stuff on there cloud.Having you attached to them this way helps keep you for a long term customer. Not to mention they sell Data collected about what you do and store to other companies . OF course they say they do this without exposing who you are.
SO the answer is.
Unless they change there way of thinking . Or consumers start switching to products with much more storage . They will likely keep ON Device storage as it is . Give you just enough for you to keep it almost full. And Require some type of Networked Storage.
BUY A HOME SERVER.. there are many out there from companies likes Netgear western digital..Synology buffalo and so on.
I have Synology Disk station and love it My data on MY server ..

I never thought about it this way, but it makes perfect sense!
I have the 32GB one and I rarely use more then 16GB. I do watch series on, but I delete it once I watch it. I wouldn't upgrade to 64 one if it came out, I don't need it.
If however, there will be a N7 with 64 GB, it's probably going to be the 2014 or 2015, not the current 2013.

What about the *possible* nexus 8 that was up on Google's android.com site earlier this week? Will that have 64gb?

Paypal merchant vouchers up to $50.00? How and where?

I know the Galaxy gifts are there for us to download and use, but I don't understand how they get activated. So what's up with the $50 paypal vouchers we are supposed to get?

I don't fully get the voucher, is it for end users to get $50 to spend at merchants or do merchants get $50 towards processing fees in which case I have $0 incentive to use it.

What sort of Galaxy gifts are we supposed to get? I haven't seen anything...

its showing dropbox in there for 2 years however I don't see it listed when I sighn into Samsung apps , tried a search and nothing , I do already have a membership account on dropbox but should still get the bonus space no ?

I know. I was wondering how to get the Dropbox promo too. My HTC one x space expires this month the and the s4 (or 3?) Space expires in sept.
