I figure out the root to the problem some people are having with new 4.2.2 zoe themes giving them the error :
"unable to create video because there is a problem with the original media files"
The audio files that zoe uses for some random reason are messed up for the new themes. They have a file size of 9 bytes when there are normally 1.05 mb. So i replaced music_atlantis.mp3 (one of the new themes) with another mp3 files that also lasted 32 seconds, and changed the name of it music_atlantis.mp3 . When i went to zoe the theme worked but of course with a different audio.
If one of you guys that have all themes working could be kind to upload those audio files it would be great I'm sure I am not the only one having that problem.
this is the location : /sdcard/Android/data/com.htczeroediting/files/zeroeditor/resources/music
I uploaded two screenshots one with the error and the other with the files i believe need to be overwritten with the correct ones. Thanks
Hi, go into the 'Android/Data/com.htc.zeroediting/files/zero_editor/resources/' folder and rename the 'music' folder to something different and then try the new highlights again and it will recreate a new music folder with all the new highlights working, then you can go back and delete the old music folder.

worked like a charm!!! thanks
beautiful fix... now I don't really want to erase my entire SD card anymore... lol Moved everything else over so it should be fine... hopefully lol
When I change the name of the music folder, it does create anther folder titled "music", but still has the same corrupt .mp3 files in it. Only six of the files work, the others are 9 or 10 bytes.
I'm on 4.1.2, and these files seem to be included also.
I actually landed here after tracking down a mediaserver wakelock issue I'm having. Turns out the .mp3s being used for highlights might be the culprit, but I can't seem to fix them or delete them without them being recreated when I watch a highlight reel. Even if I just delete the corrupt files, they are recreated when I load a highlight reel up.
I'll upload the folder that I have for music just overwrite it and see if it helps

there are the audio files that should be inside that music folder. just download them all and save them inside that folder so you overwrite the others. By the way these include the audio files for the new themes as well in case anyone else needs them.

Thanks for the help. It looks like a few of the files you provided are still not the right size (music_brooksburg.mp3, music_fields.mp3, and music_monterey.mp3).
I copied it all over regardless, but there's still only six options showing up in the highlight reel (Polaris, Avalon, Vega, Eifel, Burbia, Islandia). Maybe the option will only appear in 4.2.2?
I checked the files after using the highlight reel and the system didn't change any of the mp3's I copied over, so there's that.
I'm more concerned with getting the files right to help with wakelock, even though I'm not sure this is culprit.
Yea the new themes you'll need 4.2.2 . And yes those 3 are still only 9bytes . But they are not themes so they are not used therefor they shouldnt be giving you problems

Has anybody created custom themes yet? Wondering if there is a forum/thread dedicated to custom highlight videos. It'd be great to have a community of themes/music to share to add a little variety to the HTC One's highlight videos.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Highlights worked--I think???--before activating my phone. But once the Carrier package was installed (Sprint) this feature only had the hangouts "Pop" file.
I had written to a friend who reviewed the One for PC Magazine and HTC but never got any response for getting these files. I really appreciate this rollsrd!

I tried the renaming Music folder trick. It did not work until I shutdown gallery and then reopened. Probably obvious, but just thought I'd mention it.
Renaming the folder did the trick for me also.

To add fof song, put them in "TapsOfFire/songs" folder on sdcard.
"Setting" & "Help" are not yet implemented, it's only 0.2 version but the dev (Dmitry.Skiba) promise new version soon.
Great game!!! I have a bit lag on the end of demo music, but in general works fine.
there is no "TapsOfFire" folder on the sdcard. Do I have to create one? Or is it in the apk file? Thanks alot.
Edit: nvm...i figured it out! lol. I just had to extract the files and make them folders

sorry..i shouldn't have said 'zip' folders. This goes for all people who had the same issue that I might have had.
I just got the song files from the internet and then put them on the root of my sdcard first. Then made the folder "TapsOfFire" on the root of my sdcard, opened it, made a "songs" folder in that. Then I took all the songs that I had downloaded, which were showing up as a "77" type file thing, and then put them into the "songs" folder within the "TapsOfFire" folder. Then I went, one by one, and double-clicked all the songs, which gave me the option to extract them. And they showed up as folders when they were extracted. So I just deleted the original "77" type file thing that they were in, and then vwala!
I opened up the Taps of Fire game, and the songs I had downloaded into the "songs" folder showed up.
Hope it helps out anyone who was having problems!
this is awesome!
Whats the best site to get songs for this?

Anyone want to backup and pull the apk off their phone? Please
**EDIT** It does look like he took it off for ADC.

Looks like the last version up was 7, but here is a link to version 2. I'm sure it's way buggy, but might be worth checking out.

I really did not like the gray background on the music widget so I made a transparent version that looks real good on the Xoom.
To apply the apk you will need adb and root running.
adb remount
adb push Music2.apk /system/app/Music2.apk
What exactly did you edit to get it to do that? I'd like to play around with it a little bit.

Used Photoshop to edit the images. If you extract the files from the .apk using winrar or something similar you can find the background files in res/drawable-mdpi. There are 4 files in there that all start with bg_panel and are 9.png's.
Once I had the files edited the way I wanted, I just dragged and dropped them into the .apk using winrar.
Hope that helps.
great job on this
why do you use advanced task killer?
Works great, thanks.
Note to anyone trying to be lazy like me: You must use the ADB method he instructed how to use, simply trying to install the .apk doesn't work.

Thank you! I knew how to edit them, I just couldn't track down the files.
There is also a preview file that shows up when you are adding widgets to the screen. I don't recall which folder it is in but the name of the png is obvious.
Was searching for a market alternative that looked like this but none I found worked so this made my day! Thanks!
pure music should be working sometime soon, i emailed the dev about it and he acknowledged that there was a problem.
@B Dizzle: Thanks for this. I have not rooted yet but will soon to get this music widget mod. I am trying to make all my widgets have transparency (except CNN) and Pandora is the only one I have left to make my home screen complete. Do you know if it is possible to do something similar with Pandora widget?
See screen here (lower center).

For simplicity put the music2.apk file in the same directory as adb. Then attempt to push the file again.
A reboot may also fix this.
If all else fails, download the official dump from the dev section and push the original music2.apk back to your device.

I havnt got a XOOM yet so I can only use the emulator but maybe I could make one with the blue "holographic" outline if anyone is interested. Just let me know.

If I had to guess there is a permission issue if the music2.apk is actually in the /system/app folder. Check permissions on the apk. Check the owner of the file. Try replacing the file with another using Root Explorer.
I was looking in some other forums and found some updates for the Beats Audio files. It was about a week ago so I can't really remember which forum I found them in or who to thank... but it's definitely not me lol. After some trial and error and multiple boot loops, I finally figured out which files I could add on and still be able to use my phone.
What I did was installed the flash version that I assume everyone already (if not the link is below) has then copied the extra files into the directories listed using the root browser in Rom Toolbox. doesn't have to be Rom Toolbox but you do need to bee in the root folder to get to the system folder.
Trust me, don't just copy and paste unless you want the boot loop. You'll have to copy the files within the folder and place them into the designated folders, unless that folder doesn't exist. Each folder in the zip is labled by the corresponding system folder.
Once again, I can not take credit for either one and can not gaurantee that it won't brick your phone. I'm just the messenger here.
I can only speak for myself but I did notice a difference in the bass on PowerAmp. Now the Pop preset seems to be all I need.
Beats Audio link

Additional files
http://db.tt/ntfULrLE
Once again, don't copy and past the folders unless they are not already in there like the Framwork folder. Also keep in mind that some folders have sub folders.
Let me know how it works out for you.
So what exactly is added that hasn't been released? Never found that part in the thread.
I noticed the app and framework folders. They were not in the flash version I've been using. There were also additional files in the other folders as well. Too many to name. It's a small zip file so you can take a look. I'm not a programmer so I really can't tell you much about them besides I added them and noticed a difference.

But you have reminded me to say, if your asked to overwrite existing files say no. But I believe the files uploaded are strictly the missing. At least that was the case for me.
If any more experienced members have time, please take a look at the files so we can know if they're actually needed. I dint think the app folder is needed but I still added it since it wasn't there

Hello guys!
I've been struggling to find a way to delete (or move) some files from Moto X. Usually music files with special characters in the name. So ones with apostrophe or acute accent or tilde cannot be deleted or moved at all. My current music player also cannot play or recognize their tags, so I'm not able to edit them. Not even using Root Explorer.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Edit: tried and it worked like a charm to delete the folders with the files inside, but not the files alone. What I did then, I deleted the entire Music folder with all the files inside using Root Explorer itself and it worked! I had to reboot the phone after because the system wouldn't let me create a Music folder manually.
Thanks again @aviwdoowks!
Hey! Is there a way to change the default location of the screenshot? I can't use Google photos properly like this, it keeps on sync my screenshot folder.
Tnx.
Screenshot location can vary. For me it's Pictures/Screenshots. I can (and have) disallowed Google Photos from syncing that folder. Where do your screenshots go?
It's going to DCIM/screenshot.
And Google automatically backup this entire folder so, it's a problem for me.

Make a file called .nomedia in the Screenshot folder and sync will ignore it. It will also mean it won't show up in gallery apps.

Sad to say, but I solved it using "Auto File transfer Lite" (Search at google play)
It's not the best solution, but at least is an acceptable workaround IMHO.
Just hope some day Google allows to select DCIM subfolders to sync or Xiaomi to change screenshot folder destination.
