[Q] xperia T official cm10.1 - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

hi guys, I really searched a lot on the web but couldn't find the answer to my question..
I was thinking to buy this phone, and as I love cm (10.1), I was looking if this phone is well supported.. it seems so, in fact I see on cm website xperia t has stable cm10 and almost stable cm10.1.. (RC4)
http://www.get.cm/?device=mint&type=RC
what I couldn't find anywhere is what is still not working... just to be sure if I buy the phone I won't have big troubles or miss some important things I often use.. only thing I could find on the web about known problems on xperia t + cm is this from codeworks website:
"The next round of nightly builds will bring support for the Xperia T, V, Z and ZL.
Unofficial builds are around for some time via Freexperia, but now these devices are officially supported.
Everything seems to be working except video recording (little audio issue) and hdmi out.
Both issues should be fixed soon."
so only problems seemed audio in video recording and hdmi, but this info is dated 13/Apr, so I don't know if these problems have been fixed already or not.. can you please help? where could I look to see the current pending problems on xperia t running cm10.1?
thanks a lot in advance guys!

thanks for the reply, I did see those thread.. but they are related to FreeXperia Project, while I am speaking of official cm10.1.. and I thought they were two different things!
Also, the sentence by codeworkx (I'm attaching below again) seemed to confirm that!
"Unofficial builds are around for some time via Freexperia, but now these devices are officially supported."
so now is not so clear to me.. to answer my doubts (pending issues on xperia t running official cm10.1) should I write on the FXP thread or somewhere else?
thanks anyway bye!

All questions threads should be in the Q&A section, but since there already is a CM thread there shouldn't have been a thread at all.
THREAD CLOSED.

[Xperia Pro] CyanogenMod Teaser Video

As you know, CyanogenMod and FreeXperia have been working on Xperia devices for a while now. I would like to show you our progress on the Xperia Pro which, hopefully, you will be able to use soon.
For now, check out the video:
You can also play around with Bin4ry's bootable recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302037

deovferreira is defer (member of FreeXperia Team & contributor to CyanogenMod) so if he is posting a video abt CM7 on Xperia Pro it means that the device will very soon get a CM7 release...
That's great!!! I can't wait to get CM7 on here. The phone is actually pretty good at default, but I miss CM7 a lot (Old phone was a Milestone running CM7).

To avoid things like that in general, the Xperia Pro really needs it's own forum. Who can we talk to about getting that setup?

+1 I really don't understand why it takes so long to create new forums, but hey ho.
This video makes it look like that xperia pro comes loaded with cm7
SE has learned from past errors, and the stock Gingerbread firmware is great, but I used CM7 on my old X10 Mini Pro, and I like it most because it's more customizable.
When will this CM7 will be available for Xperia Pro? I'll be waiting
I also think we Xperia Pro users need a forum(or at least a subforum inside Neo), but in the while, we have to use other fourms
Not to be bothersome, but any ETA on when you'll be issuing a public release? I can'r wait for CM7 on my Pro!
Hmmm, why no releases for the Pro? This is one of the few things left keeping me from pulling the trigger on eBay...

To elaborate...they did release CM7 for the Pro....2.5 weeks ago.
I've been running it for the past week and there are some minor issues like the hardware keyboard's alt-character keys not being mapped properly, but it's still a great piece of work!
So pull that trigger on the ebay auction
I'm confused... is this a CyanogenMod port for the Pro? I was hoping for "official" support, i.e. with nightlies and so on
if you are looking for that, then no, not yet. but we put it on our phone so that we can feedback to the developers on issues and other things. this "beta" will help the version to progress to the official port. mine have been running for 3 weeks and all seem good.
Any idea why the Pro was left out? The other Xperias all seem to be listed on the Cyanogenmod page... making me nervous
Very simple. Pro is the latest device which arrived. I personally like it very much. But the Pro was the latest device we received, so we have still some issues to work out before we pull the trigger on CM-Server. Also it is still not available in many shops for example. Here in Germany it's hard to find (except online) and because of that it's not very popilar now. Release was only a few weks ago, a little patience please here
At all the device is ready on github/cyanogen, it's named iyokan.
No need to worry, let us workout the latest problems and it will be included in official CM soon.
Regards
Thanks for the reassurance
Thanks for the info Bin4ry. You guys are doing some great work!
so.. no news here for some time.. as an owner of xperia pro mk16i i'm very curious about cyanogenmod for it, so i'd like to know, if there's some development... thank you very much for info

Search the arc forum for "PRO" threads. there's two actively developed Cyanogen mods (CM7 and CM9). i've been running CM9 for a few weeks now. it's pretty solid.

Xperia Album on JB?

Hi, have you guys tried or managed to run the Xperia Album properly on any JB based ROM?
The reason I ask is that when installed on the Galaxy Nexus running JB, the Album crashes every time you try to share a picture. It would be great to have a JB compatible version and I presume this is the mostlikely place for one to be produced.
Cheers

Wrong topic, put it in Q/A because this is a question.

Wrong reply, you didn't actually contribute an answer!
Joking of course but I never do quite get why so many replies in forums are against the topic and don't actually help the matter in hand. :silly:
If a JB compatible version of the Xperia Album is found does that post have to come back out of the Q&A because it's an app and no longer a question? It's easy to see where the sections have grey areas and cross-overs. I'm sure the moderators will move this if and as required.
So sorry for the question but does anyone have Xperia Album with successful sharing on JB?

Ok and this is a short answer but powerfull: No idea because Sony have no JB yet and if you ask about another device, why post it here then? This is a topic for the Xperia T and no other

Thanks for the reply. I came here because it appears as though there are JB ROMs for the Xperia T and I thought there might be a chance that someone had also tried to run the Xperia Album on them, given that it is far better than the standard gallery.
The sharing issue seems to only occur on JB so it stands to reason that if there was a version which ran on a JB based ROM for the Xperia, it may work properly on the GNex too.
PS- there's only one l in powerful

AOKP Camera crash.

I have been trying to get a nice ROM and i have tried almost all of them... right now I'm testing unofficial AOKP and it seems like the one i will use but for some reason when opening the camera the phone restarts.
can't save logs because of that and all applications which try to access the cam end up crashing the phone, so no Skype, g+ and so on.
installing gallery.apk from cm 10.1 (which works fine) doesn't fix the issue...
does anybody have this problem?
i don't seem to find any threads about this.

This is a well known problem. International S3 camera crashes with aosp ROMs. It's to do with the camera firmware version but I've not found any of the solutions posted online have worked for me. Its a total nightmare.
the nightmare continues
Further to my post above...
Getting an S3 i9300 has been the worst phone-based decision I ever made. I love AOKP, but the camera issue exists on any rom I run on my S3 except for roms based on Samsung stock.
The reason, I have learned along my quest, is because the i9300 has variations in the camera hardware, and AOSP/AOKP roms appear to be tested with whichever one I haven't got. Great. There are guides to updating the camera firmware in isolation which I have tried without any improvement, but it does pass the time a little while I wait for the Nexus 5. I've come to the conclusion that if you want to enjoy a pure Google experience, that is the only answer.
Of course it isn't the fault of team AOKP that you and I can't enjoy their great ROM - and Samsung don't design their phones to be run anything other than their own stock firmware, so it's not as if you can blame them either. But it is sad that nobody appears to be listening to everybody that has this problem. The S3 was a top selling Android device last year and you'd think that at least one developer has this issue and wants to fix it, but apparently not. To my mind it seems as simple as including drivers for both camera firmwares, which is obviously what Samsung do with their stock roms.
I know this is basically just a rant but unfortunately I can't engage in any serious techie discussions because XDA consider me a noob. If you have this issue and permission to discuss it then please do try and take it forward with them.

Basically that is to stop users asking stupid questions like how do i switch the phone on .
But as its relatively easy to make ten or more non stupid posts on XDA its not a problem . Although if you where stupid on post 9 i fail to see how you gain intelligence by post 11.
General Q&A Accessories and Themes do not require ten posts even for boobs .
This is not the I9300 forum see above are you ranting about this phone I9305 or some other phone ??

You have mentioned only AOSP/AOKP ROMs, what about CM 10.2 nightlies. Camera works well on my i9305. But 'force 4xMSAA' under developer options must be unchecked (default.) .

maybe try AOKP ported by infrag?
I have just found bug with video and zooming though....

Audio not working in recording

Hello everyone.
I recently rooted my phone and flashed cyanogenmod 11 nightlies. Everything is working pretty well but there's this : audio is not working when recording a video neither than audio during video hangouts.
Tried four nightlies and no evolution.
I have not found any post on that subject. Is this a known bug or am I the only one who experienced it ?
Thanks for your replies and pardon my writing, not my native langage and redacted on phone
Sent from my Xperia Z1 using xda app-developers app
There is a bug in your ROM.
Nightly build is for developers, not daily use.
Just download stable version or you can check Fast and beatiful ROMs better than CM in Android development section of Xperia Z1.
I'm aware that it may be a bug and that nightlies can have bugs like this.
Despite that, I have always flashed cyanogenmod roms on my phone since CM7.
There is no stable release at the moment on Z1. So, the nightly being buggy I got that. Not a problem.
My question was is it a bug or is my phone defective since no one seems to have this problem in any post on XDA.
Seems very strange that people would complain over display behaviour, sound too low, that kind of stuff but no one notices they have no sound in the clips they record with the camera.
Maybe have I made a mistake at some point, maybe it has to do with the unlocking of the bootloader ?

[Q] Some questions about installing CM11 by Jcsullins

Quick questions for the community...
I currently have an older version of Android installed (I think a CM9 nightly) and am looking to upgrade it to this CM11, but it's not for myself, I'm going to be giving it to a 12 year old girl So my questions are...
Is the camera fixed in this? I heard it got fixed a long time ago in some builds, but I can't find any specifics about working camera here.
Is it pretty stable? In other words, if I give this to her and I'm not around very often to help her if anything goes wrong, will she be OK with it on her own knowing nothing about ROM's, rooting, or android in general really? She'll mostly be using it for social media, possibly reading, and taking pictures (assuming the camera works)
Thanks for any and all replies!
