I believe I have seen this before when I had my 4G LTE. Basically a stock based rom (not AOSP) but with Sense launcher, widgets and apps totally removed. I would do it myself but I'm I would end up deleting some important system files and totally jack up my phone. All I really want is stock messenger and camera left in place. Just want to see if anyone else is looking for something like this out if any dev had an interest in making something like this.

You can flash our rom (SuperONE) and remove sense through terminal emulator Checkout this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40787082&postcount=3

I'm not sure why there is no thread (I'm a relative n00b), but there is an official CyanogenMod nightly here:
get . cm/?device=m7wls
I use this as my driver and it is perfectly stable, all features work as intended. Just flash the latest nightly and the GAPPS found here:
goo . im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
Then wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache.

This is for those of us that enjoy the functionality of custom Roms, but would like our Epic to look like an Epic. I know that isn't many, but it's here for those who want it.
I have tested it on Stock EB13 and a few custom Roms with no problem. I have not yet tried it with CM7 or other Phones. If I could get some people to test that, that would be great.
I know this isn't marvelous, but it is stock, and I was not a fan of how the customized TouchWiz launchers looked. So I hope people find this useful on Roms that do not include TouchWiz.
Please leave comments if you try it and let me know how it works and if there are any problems. Please let me know if it works on any other galaxy phones or any other phones in general.
This is my first contribution to this forum, so if I have helped, please lend me some thanks, I promise to pay you back
Can you post some screens and does this have the puzzle lock screen?

And if you do a Tiitanium backup before installing the custom ROM, when you install this you can restore the data for it in Titanium to get your homescreens back the way they were. Had to do this many times on my g/fs phone...she resists change LOL.
It is stock TouchWiz, so no it does not have the puzzle piece. I can post some screen shots later, but it is just stock TouchWiz, it looks the same as when you first bought your Galaxy S.
I know titanium works, but not everyone has it backed up, and it would be a pain to reinstall stock just to get the TWlauncher so here it is. Also I find that when I reinstall with titanium it is full of broken links on my homescreen
But yes, my Wife is the same way, which is why I put this together. Actually she was thinking about moving to an Evo 3D, if someone has an HTC device, can they see if this works, (I recommend using CWM, but try with whatever recovery you have).

You can take the twframework file and port it to another Galaxy S phone. But no not as it is, not all images are called the same file name. Plus some of xml's are different.

I love that you made this and it bailed me out of a jam a few days ago.
I recently flashed the leaked EH06 ROM and love it. The EH06 TouchWiz allows you to customize the order of your apps in the app drawer. I made a zip that would include all the Samsung widgets as well as TwFrameworks for anyone looking for the a minor TouchWiz update. Its as of the moment untested because my phone is dead.
All credit to Censura_Umbra for the original zip that I used and Decad3nce for the EH06 zip file I took the files from.
EDIT:
The Zip below doesn't work because I'm a dumb ass. I'm new to the whole rom/moding comunity and just learned about signing Zip files. The link below doesn't even have the update script. I'm going to keep working on this.
Well I'm glad I could help. If you think your new development will be well received then you should make a thread for it, I doubt anyone will find it in here lol
I'm posting in this forum and not the official thread because I don't yet have the requisite number of posts to post in development forums.
I installed GalaxianSoup beta 1.7.3 last night and it's a great ROM. Must quicker and better than the stock experience. This ROM is almost capable of being my daily driver except for one particularly crippling problem. It occurs when I long press on any item on my homescreen. Rather than allowing me to move, remove, or resize the item, it instead causes the screen to quickly go blank, change orientation, and then return to the original orientation. So, basically, it prevents me from making changes to my homescreens. When I long press on a blank area, it behaves properly. This problem only occurs when I long press on an icon or widget.
Any ideas?
Update:
I can eliminate this problem by locking the screen orientation. If all else fails, I suppose it's not TOO big of a hassle to lock the orientation before making changes to my homescreen, but I'd rather find a fix instead of a workaround.
Thats very strange, i have never seen or heard about this problem. I can resize/move/create folders without any problems.
You are using the stock launcher, correct? Did you wipe data, cache and dalvik when you installed the rom? Did you restore anything?
Have you tried to clear Launcher cache and data?
Clearing Trebuchet's data and cache fixed it for me. Thanks a million.

I have always been able to move/resize widgets and create folders on homescreen. This should work on all versions of Galaxian Soup AOSP roms. What exactly doesn't work for you?
I can move them around, that's pretty much it.
Was seriously missing the resize feature from CM9 SGS2, but this rom was so smooth with everything else. Maybe I should try flashing 1.7.3 and see what happens.
Is wiping data a necessity when changing rom on the tab? Got that impression from one of the last posts in the developer thread.

Resize widgets was intoduced in android 3.1 if i remember correctly. It has always worked for me. Of course the widget has to support it too.
You can create folders if you move one icon on top of the other. Thats a Android 4.0 feature.
I updated from aosp 1.6.4 to 1.7.3 without data wipe. Just wipe cache and dalvik. Dont forget to install the same version of gapps that you had on 1.6.4.
If you are coming from any other rom then im afraid you have to wipe data also.
I'll try a update and see what happens..

Ok, that makes more sense. I thought you are using our AOSP build because you have AOSP rom version number in topic of this thread.
I second this on the aokp, though using apex launcher. The problem usually goes away after a reboot.
Thanks to Android Revolution for providing the nandroid backup of his T-Mobile Note, here's a complete stock, rooted, deodexed, zipaligned ROM. I'll look in to releasing a modified framework-res.apk later that adds SIP calling settings and modifies the auto-brightness levels. If no one else does it first, I'll probably look in to adding the extended power menu to make it easier to reboot in to recovery and maybe see if we can get the 15 toggles mod that works on many AT&T roms working too.
I didn't remove any apps, so if you know there are things you don't want, feel free to open the zip and delete things out of /system/app before flashing. Suggestions on what can/should be removed would be great too.
This does not include the modem so flash that separately if you want the latest T-Mobile modem. I'm working off of an AT&T Note so it's easier for me to keep the modems and ROMs separate. tomin.fhl already has that posted for you here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837907
Thank these folks for making this possible:
Android Revolution and all the folks releasing bits from the T-Mobile Note.
www.androidfilehost.com for providing free hosting
electron73 and flappjaxxx for releasing stock-ish AT&T ROMs that were very helpful to me to figure out how to put together the flashable zip
Download: http://beta.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390034591667978483
Mods that work:
I tried a couple of the 15 toggle mods for AT&T Note UCLF6 ROMs and they seem to work as is. If you like the toggles go ahead and try them and be sure to thank the creators if it works.

Edit (09/02): If you're looking for a stripped down version, I've customized the ROM more or less to my liking and have uploaded it for others to use. These are the changes I remember off hand:
Removed:
TouchWiz "stuff" (launcher, widgets, supporting APKs)
Samsung keyboard/TTS (keyboard wasn't working anyway and I don't use it so didn't spend too much time figuring out why)
Most of the wallpapers, including all of the live wallpapers
Some Google Apps (new Play Music/Video, a few others) as they inevitably end up out of date anyway and need to be updated from Play Store. The ones that I left in the system partition have been updated to latest available on Play Store.
Other T-Mobile add-ins (if you actually miss anything that was removed you can grab it from the full stock ROM)
Added to system:
Apex launcher
Hacker's Keyboard
Google Now (from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224)
Edited framework.jar to include the 4-way reboot option to restart in to recovery (based on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24303020&postcount=13)
Edited framework-res.apk and added in the native SIP calling settings (based on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109962). Also tweaked the screen brightness when on Auto to be a bit dimmer (based on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1541180).
Added as non-system APKs:
T-Mobile My Account (overlaps a lot with Access T-Mobile, I'd pick the one that works better for you and delete the other)
ES File Explorer
Titanium Backup
Solid Explorer
aLogcat
Chrome
I've been using this build for a couple of days and it has so far been problem free for me. If the camera closes on you after initially loading the ROM, a reboot seems to fix that without it cropping up again. Last thing on my to do list is to look at replacing the T-Mobile tether app (I don't tether too often so it hasn't been a priority). In the future I'm considering replacing the S-Note and S-Memo apps with some of the community/other developer note (Memo/Papyrus/etc) taking apps, mostly in preparation for a jump back to Cyanogenmod ROMs once they gain a bit more stability.

It works fine on the AT&T Note, that's what I used to test with. Just make sure to use a modem that is modified for i717 since using both the mdoem.bin and amss.bin straight from a T-Mobile Note causes it to run about 10 times slower than normal. I know tomin.fhl, jeet92 and others have different combos that work and I may do a little testing too next week when I get some time. Doesn't look like we can expect any breakthroughs in speed though unfortunately.

Yep, you sure can. I usually make a few changes when I download the zips for other ROMs, like modifying the framework-res.apk first to allow for native SIP calling, then saving it back in to the zip. Other interesting things to do is to add in the Google Now files that were modified to work with ICS so that you don't need to copy them in after a flash.

I'm not too sure about that, but my initial guess would be that it's not possible. Some quick Google'ing came up with UDP ports 500 and 4500 that are used, but that would be set on T-Mobile's servers so having your client try to connect on a different port would result in no connection. Have you asked your IT department if they could work with you to find out what rules could be added to the firewall to allow Wifi calling? I know some companies will install repeaters to help get reception for their employees if they're in a bad area, and this would be an effectively zero cost to them solution.

This is the same thing as stock, just modified a little to allow theme-ing and flashable via CWM. Looks like it does not have the UK language listed. You can use this ROM on both the AT&T and T-Mobile Notes and it should work just fine. You're not really gaining much if you're already on T-Mobile stock ROM though unless you want to flash mods on top of it.

The Sense Apps all rely on the closed sourced HTC frameworks. They can not be ported to non Sense Roms. Many have been trying for years and it has always failed.
Therefore it's not as simple as just copying some Sense libs over to the CM install in order to run the apps that call them; the Senseness permeates more aspects of the ROM than that.
(Not trying to second guess anyone, I honestly just want to understand why I have to give up my dream of simultaneous CM + good pictures on the One.)

This is what you give up when you move to an open source distro like cm. You lose all the cool closed source stuff for open source that you can edit freely.

You must decide if you want to use Google IncallUI or Samsung InCallUI. Samsung InCallUI will allow too still receive and switch to video calls and the google IncallUI will only support HD calling. To switch to google IncallUI goto settings/applications click on default applications choose calling app and click on the blue phone app. To switch back to samsung IncallUI is a little more complicated. You will need an app like root explorer and goto data/system/users/0 and then findthe setting_secure.xml and delete and then restart phone. This will restore samsung IncallUI as default
You will also want to turn edge features off since everthing is deleted
Also you need to goto SuperSU app and goto settings and click on enable su during boot and also click trust system users
Goto this thread and under Recommended Next Steps find the S7_or_S7Edge_Fixes_V15.zip or latest version and flash to fix kernel lage and doze fix.
Goto setting/about phone
Click on build number 5 times to enable developer options
Change animation and duration scales to .05 this will speed up phone
You will also have to change charging/file mode from within developer options
Remember Wiping Dalvik cache will cause phone to take up to 10 min to boot on deodexed roms
If using samsung IncallUI here is a fix for call phone FC and also location service fix

Ok, that is what I thought. I just was trying to determine if there was anything else major missing from that other ROM, knowing some apps would have to be pulled or installed, hence your "Playstore" moniker for this ROM. Ok, this is a good clean base ROM for those who like to order "a la carte" down the road when the need for other features are required. I may give it a spin for the fun of it.

I'm using the Google incall with no issues at all. Probably no need to flash if that's what you're using.
So far the ROM is nearly perfect.
Having some MMS issues again. It only works when Wifi is turned off or not connected to a network.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I even flashed your fix it ZIP.
Hey I'm considering installing this ROM because I live the minimalism of it. How's the performance? Anyone mind posting an AnTuTu score?

I actually found one of the battery saver apps to be causing the issue. I think it was amplify through xposed, it caused the mobile data to turn off when connected to wifi. So, i turned it off and haven't had an issue since.
