im on a milestone 3 XT860 on android 2.3.4, i found a safestrap v2.1 and installed that and was able to get into that menu but cant boot the phone with safe system enabled. but with safestrap v3.05 it just freezes after i click on the menu button.
I'm guessing something from bootstrap is left, if you had a droid 3, would suggest flashing the xml with rsd lite.
which carrier are you using?

Hey everyone,
So I messed up big time here: I recently got the JB update, rooted, and messed with something I should not have (without backing up) and ran into a boot loop.
I attempted to fastboot back to ICS, and it obviously failed while flashing. (now I realize that was a mistake, I knew you could not fastboot from GB -> ICS, so I do not know why I did not realize the same with JB -> ICS)
I know there is no fastboot files for JB yet, which makes unbricking my phone an issue.
Does anyone have any solutions on how I can unbrick my phone? (there is a solution for the razr, but I doubt that it would work for me)
Any help at all would be appreciated.

That's a good question, have been wondering about that myself. Also strange that the baseband version number is lower than the previous one.
So this will not flash onto a xt907 with a locked boot loader through RSD correct? As stated the I see it says about system and modem, but are these instructions regarding 'fastboot' flashing or both RSD and 'fastboot'
Does anyone know where to download RSD Lite? I did a google search for the program and the results popped up many different versions and no real official site for download.
Do you still have to RSD Lite back to last stock before pushing these with RSD Lite?

locked bootloader devices are able to flash only partitions that are signed by moto; all partitions besides system and modem are signed by moto.
i just mentioned that in the op because locked bootloader device users may need files other than system or modem if the update attempt fails.

The bootloader is locked on SM-G730 which means you can't flash anything that is not signed from samsung unless someone comes up with a way to unlock it.
You can still root it and debloat, tweak, run Xposed etc
Official firmware can be found on SamMobile in case you'll need it.

Try again. A friend of mine gave me a flex to fix.. At first, it was rooted and had a custom ROM on it. Something from mii.com. anyway. The only version it would accept is d955 so I put that on it. Imei and baseband were unknown so I put d950 on it somehow. Now, the imei and baseband are showing but it still will not accept a Sim.
What can I do?
Just make sure that is unlocked for any carrier. If not you can follow instructions on G2 forum.Unlocking steps are identical for flex and g2.

Yes it will, but three things needs to be done.
1.modem firmware must match
2.successfully unlocked Rom will accept your SIM.
3.set the radio to desired type ( gsm, cdma etc.)
