Stable build v23 has problems with superuser. Install super su from playstore or flash the nightlies where this problem is fixed
Some functions of Rom Control do not work, one example is Signal/WiFi custom colours. Rom Control & AOKP are being worked on to bring these items up to date and fully functional.

PIE FAQ
Q. What is PIE?
A. PIE is a new way to interact with your notifications. It provides easy gesture based interaction with all your system information without taking up valuable screen space. PIE is what you see in this image.
Q. How do I access Pie?
A. Swipe your finger from the pie gravity edge (default is the bottom) toward the center of your screen. While keeping your finger on the screen, drag your finger to the desired button and release to click.
Q. My PIE doesn't look like the ones in the screenshots. I don't see the Clock or notifications.
A. Notifications work either through the status bar or PIE. If the status bar is enabled, PIE reverts to just the softkeys. To enable the full PIE experience, enable Expanded Desktop by going to Settings -> System -> Power Menu -> Expanded Desktop (Status bar hidden). Access the power menu and turn Expanded Desktop on.
Q. How do I change PIE colors?
A. Go to Settings -> Hybrid Properties -> Interface and change the Navigation bar color.
Q. Buttons or keyboard rows near the edge of my screen are nonresponsive.
A. PIE's trigger area overlay is covering the edge of your screen. Change either the Trigger Area or Pie Gravity in Settings -> System -> PIE Settings.
Q. I don't like PIE, how do I turn it off?
A. To disable PIE set Trigger Area to None in Settings -> System -> Pie Settings. Remember to disable Expanded Desktop to turn status bar on again.
ROM FAQ
Q.Do I need to do a full wipe before installing this ROM?
A. Unless coming from a previous version of PACman it is highly recommended to do a full wipe before installing. This includes coming from ParanoidAndroid ROMs.
Q.What do the settings in Hybrid Properties do?
A. ParanoidAndroid has an extensive guide to the settings at this thread: [GUIDE][PARANOIDANDROID] A Complete Compendium on ParanoidPreferences [PA-Settings] Please do not post questions related to PA Settings in this thread, they are not ROM specific and all we'll do is point you to that thread.
Q.How do I turn on the Navigation Bar??
A.To enable the NavBar open Hybrid Properties, swipe the screen to the right to peek through to the menu.
Select Interface, now set your desired NavBar size with the slider.
Q.Something isn't working. What do I do?
A.First, make sure you're running the latest version. Try doing a full wipe(wipe data/factory reset and format system) and reflash the ROM + Gapps. If the problem persists, report what it is and what triggers it so the dev can duplicate it.

Hey ixanza..got an idea...
How abt decompiling the camera.apk of stock....then convert it into java using jd-gui..... compare with aosp cam and make changes....or make the stock camera framework independent...... we once used labrynith apk...and turned it into our own app...for fun...but it was framework independent. Actually camera is lib dependent...Samsung has closed source libs, so some of them can't work properly...

Is there any way to decompile ko files?
Cant we just change the location of the lib and paste the libs in aosp?? Are libs independent?

Not possible. .ko and .so files have protection. Even if you decompile them you won't be able to recompile them

Yes Hybrid works. I really haven't had an issue with battery but then again I never ran stock to compare it to.

So camcorder is the only issue? BT audio working? Does this ROM come with an OC'd kernel? Some of the CM 10.1 roms coming out here lately seem to have an oc'd kernel which i do not want.

Actually Bluetooth Audio probably isn't working I haven't tested it though. The kernel is overclocked thanks to DHacker29. But it should boot at the stock clock speed if not you can check and change it in PerformanceControl. Overclock is just another feature you don't have to use it.

I know everyone will laugh but I haven't had time to flash it yet.

This ROM runs fast and smooth so far everything is working except camcorder and i don't use Bluetooth so haven't tried it ...nice rom by far the best

I will try it out then. I ask about the OC because with me voiding my warranty by unlocking my BL I would hate to risk having my CPU damaged. I wish Dhacker would just make the kernel boot at standard clock speeds and let the user OC if they want.

LOL, well for whenever you get a chance to try it, it works really smooth and is very stable. Your work does not go unnoticed, thank you for publishing this! Can I get the pacman supporter signature somewhere?
If might make a suggestion, it would be nice to be able to access pie from both sides of the screen at once. Allow for the settings to have left and right selected at the same time.

What version of CM 10.1 do you based? Because there is epinter and Skrillax, and one of them has fixed the car dock problem.

It's CM-10.1 RC4 It doesn't have the cardock patch.

Thanks for sharing your work. Great job. I was running the sep2 version for the past many days and it works perfect.
I almost never use camera, hence did not notice any issues.

I do the aio. They have an aroma based one now that has more in it and also allows you to choose what you want. Either way is good.

Quick review on the 9/10 version
- As before very fast and smooth
- Daily usable rom.
-Hybrid settings working well
Some minor issues noted.
- Too much animations ( may be standard for CM but... I am not an animation person.) .
-Very very minor glitches in some animation... People may not even notice it but I am very picky.. Hence turned off all animations..
- screen off animation is pefect . ( anyways i never use it. )
- Wifi - Those in Non european world , need to select their location in wifi settings to get the 5Ghz working

Yeah as far as animations go PAC brought in the Nexus 7 animations. I myself am not a huge fan of them either but setting all animations to .5 seems to be better. I also believe that they are working on a used selectable animations but no eta on that.

Sorry I did not do a build on 9-10 for n8000. The nightly should build tonight if not I will do a new build for both devices tomorrow.

Looks like the Pac buildbot had an issue and many devices did not build. But I did do a build last night for N8000 and started it uploading before I left for work today so should be done in about 20 min.

Yes I started it building before I left. Going to head home at much and see what has happened to my N8000 upload and probably start both again as the 8013 will be done building.

Okay now let's try this upload again shall we android file host. This time don't get stuck. Also added a zip that will allow keyboard swipe to work instead of force closing the keyboard.

if you press "root" on the right , and then select "serannoltexx" folder you can get into the download folder with the nightlies

Hi, in the download section I see that there's a new nightly almost every second day but when I click on the changelog it says that I don't have access to that page. What changed between the releases?

The PAC-man-ROM 4.3 I provided in the past and I also maintain the 4.4. Currently the 4.4 has the Alpha status and after the build process at my own machine, I have the following information.

At my own machine, I was able as for tur build a running ROM, I got several errors, which caused stops during the build. This is not a problem for me because these errors have to be fixed by the PAC-man team and me and at alpha version are they typically.
I know, at the PAC-man homepage, you will find archives. Please keep in mind, that they are result of an automatic process and haven't been checked anymore. When they run fine, good luck if not, I hope that you have a backup.
Please take care when you use these alpha versions.

please update with correct download links for rom and gapps for this phone!

1st thing i noticed is text messages app is gone and hangouts has incorporated messaging.

I tried the newest version and there is no Modem functionality (no GSM connections possible). Baseband in About says UNKNOWN, and this is the case for both Modem-I9195XXUBNA2 and the latest Modem-I9195XXUBNB3.
The same modems work fine in other 4.4 roms (SlimRom, for example).

After further investigation there is another file that has been updated so we need to copy two files from latest CM nightly
system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so
and
system/lib/libril.so
The libril.so in pac 20 k smaller in CM it's 52 k
I have working network in 25th pac nightly

Activate Mobile Data
Flashed, it's not making it past the activate mobile data service screen. I can skip that part of the setup, but then I have no data service. Any idea?

Tried to run GPS Status and got this...
???

After everything is set up I cannot access settings and the keyboard stopped working.

Alright guys, sorry for these issues. I have a gsm model but these builds were supposed to be unified. I'll see what I can't figure out and let y'all know.

I don't think GPS works at all. Tried some other apps and GPS tools, and got nothing.
Switched to sense ROM to get lock, then restored this backup, and still a no go.

Yeah, the GPS is a bit wonky. I was able to get it to tell me where I was with Google Maps by clicking the little circular icon in the lower right corner of Google Maps and it could then show me the route step-by-step to get to my destination but each time I had to refocus on the Google Maps application i received a message that "Turn by turn navigation is not supported on devices with no GPS hardware." Or something very close to that message.....flashed over to CM 11 for the m8 and google maps works just fine. I see you've already said you're working on it so good luck, not trying to pester, just trying to help with some additional user experience. I like this ROM a lot so I hope you get it working soon! =)
P.S. Where did you see they were unified? I'm curious if they are going to unify all these M8 carrier variants like they did with the moto_msm8960 unified build?
Would be great if so, the international M8 device thread is overflowing with custom ROMs.....we have 2. lol. =)

Does anyone know how easy or difficult it would be to get the double-tap wake feature? For a phone like this it's rather necessary. The damn button is just too high.
Incidentally I was able to easily use some apps and/or shortcuts to enable a double tap feature to close the screen. But I can't find any apps that would allow for waking the phone.
Other than that little thing I'm really liking this ROM. I used it with my SGS3 and I don't plan on leaving it. Pacman Rocks!

Just wanted to see where this stands guys, used to do some testing with Jamie on jewel. Is the cm theme chooser being used?

Yeah there is almost always a current nightly for the M8 and if you view in the Pac Console within the ROM it will show you all the new commits and what's not in your ROM already that was added. There is not always something updated specifically for the M8 as far as i can tell....but the ROM continues to evolve and remain compatible with the M8whl. ^^
