Do you guys think it would work with our Note, it looks really nice and clean, I might have to get it.
Like the one seen here

Well considering that it'll need the battery cover then I would have to say no it wont work. Maybe you can email them and ask if they can make a battery cover for the Note 2.
I actually agree with the comments stated on the video.
It's just another cool gimmick that is just nice to have.
It doesn't charge faster and it is harder to use your phone.
I recently set up wireless charging on my wife's Galaxy S3 and she hates it for the following reasons:
charges slower than the USB cord
Difficult to use the phone while charging. With the USB cable, you can plug it in and continue to use the phone in your hands.
The Qi charging plate (a Nokia unit) has a LED light to indicate when the phone is being charge. That light is kinda distracting when you're trying to sleep at night.
Since the phone has to be charged face-up, the phone's LED notification light is another distraction at night.
Makes me rethink pursuing wireless charging for my Note2.

My Note 4 (T-Mobile version, obviously) is making a very faint rhythmic beeping sound that almost sounds like Morse Code when I place it on my wireless charging pad. The phone charges just fine and doesn't get hot or anything, but the beeping is very annoying when I try to sleep at night. The beeping stops when I take my phone off the charging pad, but starts again as soon as I put it back on the pad. It still beeps even if I turn the phone off. I am using the official Samsung wireless charging back cover and official Samsung charging pad. Is my phone just transmitting my personal info to the NSA through Morse Code while I sleep?
Thanks,
Jeff
Meth.. Not even once.
My nokia wireless charging pad's wall wart makes beeping/squeeking noises that I thought was the phone at first... might give that a listen if your pad has a wall adapter...
^^ what he said.. I've seen that with quite a few wall adapters so it's not a stretch to imagine it could happen with a charging pad, but put your ear to the wall adapter & see if it's that. In my experience it's old/cheaply made adapters but it could just be a manufacturing fluke with your particular unit
It's definitely coming from the phone or plate (hard to tell which one is making the noise). The wall adapter/cable I'm using are the genuine Samsung ones that came with the charging plate, so they shouldn't be cheap junk.
I'm pretty sure my Note 3 beeped too, so maybe it's just a characteristic of this plate?
It's not your phone, it's your charger.
I have two Tylt Vu chargers and they BOTH make very faint beeping/whining noises when charging my phone, plus the wall adapter makes a constant whining noise, too. It's just ****ty parts used in the chargers, nothing you can do about it.
Hi
I've bought the standard samsung wireless charger and now noticed that there's always a blue or green led shining and I'd like to disable these as I use the charger in the bedroom.
Has anyone tried to disassemble the charger? How did it work out?
Cheers
Michael
Put a piece of electrical tape over it?
If you can open up the charger, I'm sure you can disable it. I feel your problem..
Lucky to have this at work which lights u only during charge:
http://www.dx.com/p/frunda-fct001-5...e-nokia-more-white-yellow-209238#.VUIa1SGqpHw
And the charger for LG G3 which have no lights at all at home.
putting something over it is probably what I have to do.
sadly I did not find a way to open it.. without too much of force at least and buying another one does not really make sense for me as I don't need 2 wireless chargers.
i find the Light extremely annoying i could not use the wireless charger at all during night time. please Samsung get rid of the light, there is an led in the phone which lights up already to know if the phone is charging.. do we need the bright blue green light in the wireless charger as well.. ridiculous
Is there a set of rules that it follows before fast charging works? I'm not sure if it's that or my phone or charger is bad..
Seem like I can only get it working 30% of the time. I would have to unplug and plug in multiple times before the notification pops up saying fast charging.
I tried multi USB cables and pushed it all the way in the charger.
I haven't managed to look at kernel source yet (not yet released), but maybe charge type is not only dependant on charging source type, but current battery level. ie top off charging. Just guessing for the moment............
I have the same issue. The quick charging notification never pops up the first time. If I unplug the cable and plug it back in, then it's fine. I'm using the wall plug and cable provided by Samsung.

Don't know. I've only charged my phone 2x, but fast charging popped up both times.

Actually no, I bought the T-Mobile version. I doubt it matters but it's the 64gb model. It sucks that you exchanged yours and have the same issue.

I picked up the AT&T model yesterday. Plugged into my car charger, 2amp, works fine. Got home and plugged in before bed with samsung supplied charger, showed fast charging. Passed out and woke up to 40% battery this morning. Turns out it will connect fast charge (ONLY if i use the supplied brick AND cable), but cuts out after about 5 mins! If i use the 9v brick with a random cable, it will just say cable charging, but seems to be decently speedy and won't stop charging. Seeing how crawldit replaced his and has the same issue leads me to think Samsung really was hoping people would get the wireless pad. Hopefully its a minor software update/patch needed. Phone is a freakin winner on all other aspects. Battery life appears to be better than the note 4 even with a slightly lower mah.
Definitely a software issue IMHO, from the sound of it. Also, on my VZW 32gig I do not have this issue. Every time I plug it in (to the supplied charger) it fast-charged. Cant say if it gives the message every time though, but I know it fast-charges because its never on that charger more than 15-30 minutes and the charge jumps massively. But even on a normal charger it still charges fairly quickly.
Well... turns out my brick was bad, used the one from my Note 4 with the new note 5 cable and it works like a charm. I'd recommend checking out a new brick.
Glad you got it figured out. Mine works fine now as well. I don't know if everything was overly stiff from being brand new, but after a day or two the fast charge pops up the first time every time now.

Hi All, my s10 is suddenly not charging. may be it happened after the update i am not sure. it never fast charges now when the phone is turned on, but fast charges when its off.
Sometimes, it does not charge at all. tried a different cable, still doesnt charge- it says 24hrs remaining. And sometimes, it slow charges and sometimes it does not charge at all.
But everytime i switch it off and put it on charge, it charges fast with no issue. thats how i know its not the cable or the charging port. May be its some bug which is interfering with the charge? i dont know.. how to find that though? i am not rooted, and dont want to root either.. any suggestion?

Clean the USB port. They collect pocket lint. It gets moist and then packed in day after day. The inside bottom of the USB port should be silver in color. Use any thing small and hard enough to scrape every thing out. Take your time. A bright light. And a magnifier can do wonders. I got mine used and almost similar. It was full of crap. Type c ports are larger and therefore can collect more trash than before in micro and b and such

Hey. thanks for the feedback. i tried it but couldn't clean properly. its charging now but doesn't charge fast. But dont understand why would it fast charge when its turned off?
I know that we shouldn't constantly charge phones (or overcharge them) but my wireless charging dock sits on my desk and is the natural place to place my phone when I'm working. Might this damage the battery over time and should I only use the stand when the phone needs a fuller charge? Thanks!
[EDIT: I say 'constantly' in the headline and really I mean 'often'.]
Depends on the charger but most should be fine.
Here is some advice from Belkin on it
