nope.juz enable usb debugging on setting n plug ur fone without doing nothing (fone turn on n dont start mass storage.juz plug in) n start superoneclick.install busybox when asked n if failed u need to find ur own cf root.
rooting juz takes about 15 - 20 minute at most.more time taken means failure

Search for I897UCKF1-AutoRoot-DesignGears. Flash using Odin. This will root your phone. Then, flash back your original kernel or try Boog's if you want CWM. I'm on KJ3 and this worked flawlessly.
thanks all of you guys, i used the fugomod. but now i cant connect to wifi
nvm flashed back to the original kernel, thanks

If he has cw recovery there isnt any need to use odin, odin is basically a last resort but yeah it can be done.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
Charge battery, reboot to recovery, wipe data x3, wipe cache and dalvik cache... Reboot.
Wait for some time as 1st boot takes time.
I think nobody understand me. I did 3 wipes and then i flash it by cwm then when it says the installation has been complete i reboot my phone and when i did that ,nophing happend and i just wait at last 10 min for reboot and when it didn`t work (my mean is: it just stucked on galaxy ace logo)and when the logo was previewing i heard a noise from phone but at the display something were`nt happend i was fully charged the phone before .
if there is a way please tell because it`s the only android 4.1 rom for my phone .
and even if you know a rom which supports android 4 or upper please reply me.tnx and sorry for why ?you know that(english)

i don`t know i recently found the rom in xda and the developer said it`s for s5830i and my phone is s5830i.i don`t know why it does not work if you know a way tell me.
and i do whatever he said not much not little
Download the lastest kernal from the thread you got your rom from and start the whole process again when its finished the install dont reboot your phone go to install zip from sd card select the kernal and press install when its finished reboot your phone then it should work
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
After flashing the rom, if your phone doesn't boot, take off the battery, put it back, go to recovery & do a factory reset & also wipe dalvic cache. Try booting then...

hey all , I just have realized that the only way to root your device and remain in official status is pre rooted rom ( which is full of problems ) , I have read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147852 this guide and after reading the comments I think that flashing CWM via odin makes your status costum .. am I right??
Well, if Iam right I have an idea to fix this problem and hopefully it will work
1st Flash official rooted rom with odin .. this will propably wont work fine due to CSC and BBV changes but at least can boot so just download terminal emulator and flash CWM recovery using dd command ( this wont increase CBC or make ur status costum )
2nd back to official rom ( that wont mess with the CWM right? )
3rd download a flashble root via CWM (may increase CBC but can fix with triangle away app )
4th deodox rom via flashble mod via CMW
5th flash theme via CWM
hopefully those steps wont change your status to costum and any increase in CBC can be solved by triangle away right ??
anyone can confirm?
at the end sry for all this questions

your second way is similar to my way but the only diffrence is my way seems more safe because the device status wont change from costum to official it will be official all the time as i think
right??

yes but it makes no sense because with Triangel Away you can reset custom binary count and get back offical at the end of every way ...

Hi, i lately unlocked my SGS to use it with my SIM card (got it from my cousin, she had it on contract with other SIM)
Flashed SAUROM, had no problems with it, till it somehow didnt show anything on the notification drawer (no icons for activating/deactivating data, w-lan, bluetooth, etc. and no notifications, it just was blank), well, reflashed it then, it worked again, but then i wanted to change ROM to a 4.2 ROM, and thats where it somehow went wrong, now i only can flash CM, AOKP and AOSP ROMs (only tried up to ICS/CM 9) but they work without trouble...yet i cant install any MIUI or stock/touchwiz ROM anymore
I even cant restore a nandroid backup, the message i get is in the 2nd attachment
Also trying to get back to stock via ODIN and following files:
CODE_I9000XXJVU_CL851880_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5
MODEM_I9000XXJVU_REV_00_CL1092175.tar.md5
GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVU.tar.md5
wont work either, message in 1st attachment
Now, i really dont have any plan what went wrong or how it went
Hope one of you guys gets it :fingers-crossed:
