How to undo a flash

I hav just flashed a live wallpaper from within Recovery, but since it doesn’t work i want to undo/remove the wallpaper.
Is that possible?

Did you make a 'nandroid' backup before you flashed? Just restore the backup.

That is the problem, i forgot the Nandroid :-(

Can you boot into android ? if so then use a file manager and navigate to it and delete it.
also why on earth would you flash a live wallpaper ???? why not just install the .apk ?
did you mean boot screen?

[Q] HELP! livewallpapers.apk!

hi all,
Am relatively new here. I accidentally deleted my livewallpaperspicker.apk from my samsung galaxy ace s5830i, which runs on android 2.3.6 I really want the option to have live wallpapers back. I have tried searching all over the forums but when I try to apply a wallpaper, the whole apk force closes! I checked the info and suspect that it was for 2.3.4, but my s5830i is 2.3.6!
So can anyone with 2.3.6 please upload the livewallpaperspicker.apk from their system/app? Thank you so very much!!

Go to samfirmware.com download the rom wich your baseband is .when you have downloaded it then extract the livewallpicker.apk and put it anywhere on your sd card . Then put the livewallpicker.apk in system apps using root explorer .dont forget to set permissoins to rww .after that reboot and livewallpicker is back

When I try to install the apk, it says application not installed?

You need to put it in /system/app/ folder manually. And then change permissions. Via root explorer

This one didn't work for me on CM7. I found another APK and that worked fine.

Read carefully, it was from stock. Not cm7.

Hello
I have downloaded the install and uninstall files in section "Animated wallpapers pack (flash from CWM)" from huexx's blog.
After installing + wipe cache, wallpapers are installed but not able to work : they are not present in animated wallpaper list.
I'm sure applications are installed, because I unzipped the apk from the install zip and tried to install them has legacy apk : installation asked me to replace the already installed application.
After using remove script with CWM + wipe cache + reboot, I tried to install apk a second time : apk installation worked well, but related animated wallpaper were still no available...
Tried all this with v6.39n

Are u able to see live wallpaper option when u tap add wallpaper ?
If u cant see the livewallpaper option then tht mean u didnt properly flashed the pack.
Make sure u just enter cwm
Install zip frm sd >select animated_wallpaper_zeus. zip
Reebot

This is exactly what I did first time, and I just tried now a second time with same result.
Out of that, I can't imagine how it is possible to flash a zip NOT properly... With CWM, you flash it.. or not. that's all.
Of course, I Checked MD5 before flashing.

Problems with the zeus custom rom !

Hello , i have recently flashed my phone with the zeus custome rom 7.01 its great and all but my phone keeps showing me the zeus logo and restaring the home app alot , its happening very frequently and im starting to freak out can someone tell me how to fix this ?

Probably a bad flash. Try reflashing the rom after wiping data, cache, and dalvik cache in cwm

i flashed it now with the v7 not not the 7.01 but inoticed i cant put any live wallpapers any solutions to that ? becauae with the v7.01 i was able to switch to lg launcher and choose live wallpapers , and i really dont want to wipe all the apps i spent a few hours re-installing yesterday :/ .

You can quickly restore your apps with you use a backup app, like titanium backup.

Backup ur ONLY your apps with titanium backup free then, wipe cache and flash the zip. Don't factory reset if u want ur apps to have the same data

Go back to HUEXXX's blog and look for animated_wallpapers pack or something like that,download it and then flash it.You should get live wallpapers now

Nope. Only way is to use modded holo launcher.

Yes it is possible. Or atleast I think so. If u have used A_U's Galaxy S2 Rom V1.. itz there in it. Its not the official S3 launcher. Bt a complete Look alike i.e. 100% with the same transitions in Home screen. its much better than modded Holo Launcher which will just give u the looks of S3 launcher but not the experience. i suggest u try dat... Ask A_U for the launcher in that ROM. i have it. i tried using apk. it dint work.. i think it needs some Lib files which i dnt knw. if somebody tells me then i will upload d launcher apk and other required Libs/framework files

I extracted the launcher of rom Galaxy S2 v1 for use in other
roms, including the libs, and running smoothly in other roms. If you want I can show you how to get the libs or i can upload a flasheable zip I did for my personal use (If A_U permitting of course).
To make the launcher work:
* Open TouchSpaceWiz50Launcher.apk with winrar/7zip and navigate to lib/armeabi and copy files to /system/lib of your rom, set permission (0644), put the TouchSpaceWiz50Launcher.apk, TouchWizSettings.apk, TouchwizwWallpaperChooser.apk, in /system/app, set permissions (0644) and reboot.
Or put files on zip of your rom and flash...
