TX 9.1.B.1.67 has a serious battery issue - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Compare with .411(previous version), .67 consumes more power. I don't think .67 is a good update since there is nothing new and it blocks root permission. Why has Sony done a bad job and how can I save more power?
Sent from my LT29i using xda app-developers app

1) Let it settle and battery will improve.
2) There will be new things in the release, just maybe not UI or app related so you cant see it
3) All official roms do not allow root access. The way we get root access is by exploiting vulnerabilities in the security. Root access will come when someone finds that exploit.
PS, I have answered your question. Guess where it should be posted,

Yes. That's what I said, we have an exploit for the previous version. I am sure someone is working on the exploit for this version.
Just wait....

Before the update its only lasted one day with same use.

Updated TL Lt30a 9.1.F.1.120 boot user to remove bloatwares

I have just fortunately received and installed the update for my TL Lt30a (AT&T) v.4.1.2.
I used to have a root software loaded within the older version and had Root Explorer with SU from where I downloaded the root software from.
But with the new update, also came with the annoying bloatwares that compromised the battery life of my phone. I know there's a new feature that extends battery life, but I dont have the need or use for the AT&T apps.
Is there a new root software already available to remove these?
Or a site that I can be directed to the right direction and get the unwanted apps off from my phone.
Thank you,
Sorry if this was posted already before, but if there is a link to that thread that has already started commenting below would be just enough.
How about searching first buddy? If you Google "Root Xperia T 4.1.2 or Jelly bean" I promise you will find your answer in less than 1 minute.
In any case. Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
Good luck!

and BTW the AT&T model is the LT30at not LT30a which is for our northern neighbors.
Always a pleasure to see Spectre51 and augie7107 comments.

But this is the link that was concise to what I was looking for that took longer than a min to google. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191035
Guess I need to get a different internet service.
But for anyone else with AT&T and recently installed the new firmware. Hope the link above provides a simpler search on finding the solution to root your phone.
Good luck and credit to all that helped me out tons and with those affiliated within the link above.

In bin4rys thread, the Xperia TL is not in the "confirmed device" list, (only T was there). Could you confirm that it works for TL (9.1.F.1.120) too?

Welcome to XDA. Sorry for the late reply.
You can't remove the AT&T apps unless you have root access.
To unlock from network you will need a code. These can be obtained from AT&T if your contract has been satisfied or you can purchase a code on-line from a third party.

You can always flash a prerooted .257
Look in the dev section for them. There are a couple with instructions on how flash them
Have you tried reading the update changelog on kingo website? It's very visible. Nothing about Z1 there. Simple deduction, it will most likely not root 257

It doesn't take long, and there is no risk. I am running my version now...its fine.
Kingo Android Root V1.1.1 is coming up! Many thanks to Ryan, with his help and testing work the Development Team fixed the SuperSU bug.
In this new version:
1. SuperSU updated to the latest version of v1.65
2. Fixed bugs concerning the conflict issue with certain apps after employing root script on Samsung Galaxy Note2,Note3 and S Series.
3. Removed several root scripts due to license issue, which would effect few SONY models.
This is from official kingoapp FB. Yet there are nothing specific about rooting Z1.

Thanks teamhtc I just removed my softkeys thanks to some hide softkeys app and made it that they would only show when I touch the bottom right of my screen.
It looks so much better now
Also it's really easy to go back to the old unbranded firmware and update pre rooted.
So I suggest doing that instead of waiting for kingo......

Way to root I537UCUBMI2

I just flashed I537UCUBMI2, this is the first 4.3 for i537, but I found I can't root it! I can't remove the AT&T software and add Chinese language.
I was just want to give up, lucky, I use one Chinese software called “ROOT大师”, you can just search "VRoot" with Google. Now my phone is rooted, and I have removed all the annoying software.
Good luck.
Can you provide a link for this root method and a tutorial on how you used it? This way there is no confusion for anyone. I for one would appreciate it because I've been on mf1 for months now and have wanted to flash the mi2 leak but I've been waiting patiently for root.

Sorry to reply late, because I am in China.
I will show you the steps in brief.
1. Just flash leaked I537UCUBMI2
2. Go to setting, enable the USB debug. Just like other Android 4.X phone, I noticed we should tick always enable to connect to this computer.
3. Install the "root master", this is a Chinese software, maybe something can't display correctly in non-Unicode computers.
Software download:
REMOVED
After install this software, open this software, connect your phone to your computer, maybe need to install some drivers.
4. Just simply click "一键ROOT", the green button, the phone will restart 2 times, and after that, your phone is rooted.
After your Phone is rooted. The software will show:"三星I537已经拥有ROOT权限“
Sorry, because I cannot post pictures. Just follow the steps, you can make it.
Thanks for replying. I've got everything downloaded and I will try tomorrow after I get off of work. Thanks again.

Be wary of these Chinese root methods. They are known to collect your IMEI number which is not needed for a rooting process. Therefore XDA has not allowed any links to their software at this time.l

Thanks for the heads up. I figured something wasnt right about this. When i searched for this root method every site that i had found was in Chinese which made me start to think about it. Another thing that makes me wonder is that we have had this leak for awhile now and no one else has had success with root and then out of nowhere this pops up. Plus the op doesn't have very many posts here on xda. In going to play it safe and wait on something else.

Rooted anyway. 4.3 is much faster than 4.2.2. Samsung keyboard is better but still doesn't match up to real Swype imo. Battery life is remarkably better. 22 hr 40 mins with 23%. 2 hr 43 mins screen on time. Always died on me before. Seems more stable overall but watchon is broken for me.

Actually piracy is not the most important thing for me. May be this software will collect IMEI or other information, but I think they will not do anything bad, the built-in software is more annoying for me.

[Q] SOund bug : 4.3 build .136 and NO Equalizer or Effect working anymore!

Well guys,
I spotted a new problem, confirmed yesterday night (I wasn't sure, since I updated my new Z1 even before starting to use it). My old Z1 was running 4.2.2, though it had black screen wild restart issue from the opening (I was unlucky!), the equalizer were working without problem. I also use two amps that are able to boost the bass and enhance vocals by themselves so I was blinded.
Since I updated to 4.3 build .136, I don't have any equalizer working anymore. Nor the Walkmann one, nor Noozxoide, Noor Bass Booster. Nothing seems to work. Just a moment ago I had an update for Walkmann which was useless, the problem remains.
Is there a way to fix this? I'm not rooted. I will go the root way if I can sort this out. My only worry about root is the bootloader thing, a member already answered me about this but I had not the chance to check my version nor how to keep it unlocked if already unlocked.

Yet.... or that you know of.....
However, the official policy of XDA forum is not to suggest using VRoot unless you provide the warning to users as well.
So please bear that in mind, so users are aware of the risks themselves
You have too muchtime on your hands.

hmmm, using team viewer or others remote things to root is fine, people take the risk themselves if they allow someone remote access to their PC
However, Vroot takes personal and confidential information from your phone and sends it to china, if you are happy with this, fine do it, but please advise others of the risk, especially as there are easier, quicker and safer ways to root.
Also, there is no need to get personal.

The warning is needed due to Vroot having closed source and it does collect personal information.
All of the Software on XDA is use at your own risk.
If you are not sure what a software does then you may want to think twice before you recommend someone use it.
