I have heard this rumor too (e.g. at gsmarena), however being that there wasn't so many updates since, I think it might be just a rumor.
There was this rumour making the rounds a while ago that the White N4, along with 4.3 was due to be announced on June 10. And that the white ones will be the first to ship with 4.3
Maybe the 4.3 will be released tomorrow, who knows, the point with that can bee the release of a new iOS 7 from Apple, lets see..its comes sooner or later

I expect nothing, so all that comes is wellcome. And for those that ask where this rumour comes from, it comes from a Android&Me "reliable source". He was the one that said that a white nexus was coming on July 10th, and indeed he had one before anyone.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...me-said-to-launch-june-10th-with-android-4-3/
There's also the Reuters leak about a Nexus 7 successor coming on July, that could be ship android 4.3 so who knows.
http://www.theverge.com/2013/4/3/4177664/nexus-7-tablet-successor-in-july-reuters
And more recently, those HTC T6 (phablet) that supposedly will arrive with "next version of android KLP" and a Snapdragon 800 chipset.
The only thing that will happen tonight for sure is the season finale of Game of Thrones.
i can confirm that 4.3 should be released tomorrow. i finished fixing some bugs AOSP devs made, and pushed the final version to Google today. they should start rolling the OTA by tomorrow :good:

As we all know Google officially launched Android 4.2 on Monday the 29th of October, they updated the Android.com Website but there is no ETA for a Android 4.2 Update or Source Release on any of there Sites.
So if there is any you know, post here in this Thread to keep the Forums tidy! :good:
Android 4.2 will be released to AOSP and begin OTA rollout to current devices when the Nexus 4 ships or shortly thereafter.

Thanks to you both for a bit of polite sanity. I think it's great when folks get excited, some may ask obvious, and sometimes slightly pointless questions. But to become the master of the universe, and declare a thread should be shut down, is plain childish.
The only lesson worth learning if you are an ANDROID user is. Buy a NEXUS device. At least then you have a reasonably good chance of getting a timely update. So spare a thought for the folks who don't own a NEXUS device. LG Optimus 2X users (The world's first dual-core phone), are still running Ginger Bread. yikes.
Have fun. Anil

Has anyone gotten confirmation on when the 3G model will be released? Also, will it be released in stores or just Play Store?
I've read at many sites that it should be out on 11/13, but those sites also said the end of October a month ago. I also read a T-Mobile internal document that said there will be a 'T-Mobile SIM included' version, but that's going to be available only on Play Store. Another site said it will only be available with an AT&T SIM.
So.....a lot of conflicting information. I hope to pick up one a Sams Club on 11/13, but am not sure if that's going to happen.

Looking at how Sony handled updates before, I've got a feeling that 4.2 would be the last. But yeah, we'll never know at this point since Sony is somehow changing its policies(?), and at least we may get KLP. Hopefully, lol.
Sent from my LT29i using xda app-developers app
I reckon that Sony have come a long way since the x10 fiasco, so I think we'll the next iteration, just as they jumped froyo they'll jump 4.2 seeing as some of their proprietary features already cover some of the stuff in 4.2. As such I reckon that the next iteration of android will be announced, Sony will announce a new batch of phones and a new flagship, then the Z and that series of phones will be announced to receive the update, but we'll get the update after their. Anyhow, if we don't it's relatively straight forward to port it due to similarities between the devices for some devs.

Was the biggest part of the Jelly Bean update not the fact that we also go a 3.4 kernel? That was a huge update from the last kernel. I dont see why Sony would put that much effort in for it to not be a base for future updates. Jelly Bean could have easily run on the old Kernel but possibly not KLP. I see that some xperia devices are not getting the Kernel update in their Jelly Bean package, This is me seeing a way to distinguish which devices are getting dropped for the KLP update. Xperia T V and TX are almost certain to get the 5.0 update but looking at sort of Xperia S Jelly Bean time frames unless the delay for Jelly Bean was due to them setting up a proper base on the kernal to make the push to new version much smoother.
hello, im a new xperia v users here. i hope u all welcome me in this forum. just to mention that
Well just had a look into the sony site to see which firmware version is the newest hand the T isn't listed anymore! The list goes from S to tipo and then to the U.
Anybody an idea what's going on?
Since the last information from Sony was that an update was expected during week 14:what::what:
Sent from my LT30p using xda premium
Meanwhile 9.1.A.1.190 is available for the V in some regions.
If TX gets 4.2.2 around Google I/O, it is possible to get KLP by the end of the year. I don't think KLP needs quad core, 2gb ram etc. to run. The important thing is how the market devision will decide. Commercial factor must affect the final decision.

Gasai is right. There's no point in this. Every user's opinion would either be 4.2 or 5.0. Final decision comes from Sony.

Hi there.
The source in the Android Geeks story is the message Google sent to developers recently saying Android 5 will be released to consumers on Nov 3. What that means in reality is anyone's guess.
