Does someone think Samsung will release a new Android-Version for the phones?? I cant imagine, they will oO They have to much phones. But my main question ist, could it be possible, that the Ace III processor is the same like ours? I can't image too, that they will use for every phone another processor Could the Ace III Rom work on our SIIImini? And what do you think about Samsung "time between phone-release"?
It will surely have a differant chipset to the s3 mini.. novathor are gone now unfortunately.
S3
Porcessor
Judging from samsung's use of processors the ace 3 3g will most likely have a broadcom chipset (same as s2 plus) with two cortex-a9 cores so the 3g will sit below the s3 mini (remember it will sport a 4'' tft and samsung is not known for good lcds...) and the 4g will most likely sport a snapdragon s4 chipset with two krait cores and adreno 305 gpu (the basic configuration for entry level 4g devices), so this will sit above the s3 mini as it will have significantly more power. as for the android updates the s3 mini will get the 4.2.2 treatment before autumn probably but that's about it.

Hi guys !
I'm new to the forums and I want to know whats is the best galaxy S4 model out there ? Is there some versions with a better hardware ? Or maybe is it just because of different frequencies over countries and regions ?

Think of S4 like a like for fourth generation of model line.
There is:
S4 - i9500 with 8 core (Exynos 5 Octa) processor but no LTE... more like 4 / 4 cores.
S4 - i9505 with Snapdragon 600
S4 - i9505G same but with Nexus Experience ("AOSP" Android version)
S4 - i9506 with Snapdragon 800
S4 - seems Korean specific with Snapdragon 800 and LTE Advanced
S4 Active - i9295, same as i9505 but: physical buttons, 8MP camera instead of 13MP, no thermometer and hygrometer but it's waterproof and has better display in terms of brightness and colors representation.
S4 Mini - i9190 is smaller and has lower specifications than i9505. Think of it as cheaper S4. Also exists as dual-sim.
S4 Zoom - More like compact camera combined with S4 mini -> lower specs but true camera.
Maybe even more variants soon with LTE Advanced
Many models of those above branded by operators (AT&T, ...) or Korea specific version. All that mixed up with specific frequencies for networks and sometimes even with locked bootloaders(!)
I didn't want Octa version because of predicted lower support of community. And I choose S4 Active over vanilla S4 because of better display and water resistance while keeping same specs as i9505 and therefore good ability to port i9505G's ROMs.
I agree that it's certainly not as easy choice as with Apple's ultimate "what storage capacity" question.
Ok great wow thanks!! I heard that the s4 Active is not always truly waterproof, but have an awesome battery life.

Yes, there seem to by problem with some phones and not others (YMMV) and their waterproofness. But if I read it properly it happened when people submerge those phones but not e.g. during rain / spilled drink / etc. which is much more important for me. Battery life is certainly not an issue but I can't compare it with S4 and its AMOLED display which should be better in terms of power consumption. Personally I wouldn't trade S4 Active display for S4 AMOLED even if batter life would be hour longer.
Edit:
Here is thread with discussion about waterproofness.

Hello,
I owm a samsung trend plus (GT 7580) .I see that is identical with samsung galaxy s duos 2 (GT 7582) and almost identical with samsung s3 mini. Is my phone (trend plus) 100% compatible with samsung s3 mini?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

No!
Don't even think of flashing GT-8190 firmware onto your phone!
S3 mini got Novathor 8500CPU at 1GHz. while your phone got 1.2 GHz dual-core Broadcom BCM2166 processor
Also S3 mini got 1GB RAM and 8GB/15GB internal memory, while your phone got
768 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal memory.
While the later one (memory) shouldn't mean too much of a difference (besides firmware image layout), the different CPU could effectively kill your phone.
Also there are further minor differences, like the light sensor (GT-8190 got none).
Samsung has been licensed by Qualcomm and he been manufacturing some 28nm FinFet Snapdragon processors. Samsung will be continuing this trend for Qualcomm's upcoming 20nm and 14nm FinFet processors as well. These include upcoming Snapdragon 625, 629, 815 and 820 processors. Samsung, however, will be continuing to manufacture their own Exynos processors in the future as well.
Which processor should you opt in for Exynos or Qualcomm chipsets in future Samsung devices?
It's your call~
-->Samsung has been continuing the trend of releasing two variants for their new Galaxy lineups, one with Exynos and one with Qualcomm.
The advantage of Qualcomm processors:
1) GPU has been optimized with the SoC to provide the maximum performance (TFT process).
2) Processor clock frequency will be higher than Exynos and provide better peak performances.
3) Modem has been integrated with the SoC to provide the maximum battery life.
The advantage of Exynos processors:
1) Better multicore performances. (Samsung KTA optimizations).
2) Every core is optimized for Samsung devices. (Samsung KTA optimizations).
3) SoC is strictly designed for Samsung devices. (Samsung KTA optimizations).
4) Thermal and Pressure Canopy technology. Your phone will now operate is harsh conditions without sacrificing your phone's lifespan.

I personally prefer Exynos. The way the each core is designed provides better thread perf. per core.
Makes no difference to me if my network gets Exynos Note 5 I'll get a Exy. Note 5, if they get Qualcomm Note 5 then I'll get a Qualcomm Note 5.
What I do like in the QC Snapdragon variants is the battery life, having the latest LTE Cat support at the time.
What I like with Exynos, is Samsung always staying on the cutting edge, although that isn't always a benefit as I learnt with the Exynos S4.
Can't really say I prefer one over the other.

I agree with you. If we look into the processor execution protocols (AEX,ATS64, Trust Execution.etc), Exynos definitely is ahead of the game. When it comes down to stability and the development support, I would say Qualcomm is ahead of the game.
THIS is my problem with the new Galaxy Watch 3.
I don't really feel that there is anything new on this "new" galaxy watch 3. basically, the CPU, Clock speed, GPU, everything is the same. However, it has a newer version of the Tizen OS and bit more RAM, but that doesn't really give me anything new on this watch.
What do you guys think?

As they not change Screen Resolution.. still tiny 360 x 360 Pixel... correct me...
So it makes maybe not really sense to put new faster CPU inside this tiny Watch...
GW3 is IMHO first Watch from Samsung with 8 GB eMMC...
No idea if for everyone usefull... but hey. Bigger Storage.
I can remember they told on Unpack event...
Watch Faces great Watch Faces...
And for Watch Faces this CPU is fast enough...
Maybe if more and better apps are allowed on Store...
Best Regards
New TI chip / light sensors.
What benefit would there be in upgrading the chipset? It would only raise the cost of this already expensive watch. It's Tizen, it's a smartwatch, it doesn't need improvement in that area.
The differences lay in a better screen, slimmer lighter design, more storage and new health sensors. If these aren't important to you then stick with what you have, but don't reject it just because they haven't upgraded something that has no benefit to the watch performance.
.
The difference with the Watch3 is in sensors, weight, size. It now can measure O2, blood pressure (future), EKG and do more complete sleep monitoring, as well as exercise monitoring and analysis. Yes it has the same processor and 25% less battery.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually I recently shifted over to Android and I don't have. smart watch yet. Im looking for one. Apple usually upgrade their chipset so I was only assuming that other vendors might do the same.

Which one would you recommend if I was looking for a watch with primarily health features. Someone recommended me the Garmin Venu or the Garmin Fenix 6 series. What do you guys say?
