[Q] s3 mini wifi stucked at turning on position. - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

my s3 mini wifi is stucked at turning on position from 4 days ..i had hard factory reset also but no help. plz tell me what to do. plz help me without wifi its nthing

First you should do a wipe data/factory reset via recovery, if that doesn't help than flash a new rom after the wipe, and if that doesn't help you should get help from a service because it probably it is a hardware thing..

[q] help please!

Hai guys I need help badly , here's the story, I bought my Samsung Galaxy S few weeks ago and I love it, few days ago I connected my Galaxy S and opened the Samsung Kies and it said there's update available for the firmware, so i went on and click it, then the whole upgrading firmware started. Then i checked the firmware, it is android version 2.2 aka Froyo. I was happy at first , but then i realise my phone lag badly! i cant pull down notification drawer, the drawer will stuck and in order to use my phone, i have to click the back button, so that the stucked drawer will close, and i cant type properly, lag lag and lagggs! WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED GUYS? CAN ANYONE ANSWER ME PLEASE? IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX THESE LAGS? should'nt Froyo be faster and better? please please i need help... should I use Anvanced task killer or anything?
p/s: im from Malaysia anyway, anybody from Malaysia had the same problem? please anyone help me please
maybe boot into recovery and clear cache/dalvich cache and factory reset.
Just instal a lag fix like voodoo 5

First thing you should do is a complete factory/data reset. The upgrade process isn't very good

I think the things he is experiancing is more than lag its as above mentioned upgrading can leave things slow and reseting clearing cache etc is recomended.
Turn phone off then hold down power volume up and the middle button till it goes into recovery also you could use quick boot from the market its free and it will boot into recovery if the 3 button mode doesnt work.
No it wont put you back to 2.1 but may wipe contacts apps etc but the plus is a clean start.
@Gadget Check: alright thanks I shall search it up ...
@Tragusman: ok ok, thanks alot ! shall search up quick boot from android mart ...

Try reflashing the rom.
yess !! For all newbes ====>>
after flashing your phone with CUstom rom or stock if you have problem reflash if CWM work or if dont work try with odine in download mode if doanload mode work is great for you past any Stock rom you wont [VER example 2.2,2.3 etc...etc] after this if all work fine and phone reset like factory you are free to past or not a custom rom is simple for all question about how to flash via CWM or odine searche in the XDA forum for [TUTORIAL] thanks and good luck !!! ^^
No no no guys.. don't bother with reflashing and stuff, that's not the problem.. I had the same problem and I googled it for months until I've learned its a Samsung wifi hardware related problem and mostly Galaxy devices are affected. Something is wrong when phone goes in standby. It continues to work but you can't wake it and you have to reinsert battery to get it on again.
The solution is to install a tiny app called Wake Lock, it's there on market.. it keeps phone awake even when you lock screen. My phone doesn't shut off anymore and I can finally rely on it. I don't have to think anymore and check all the time if the phone is off and if I'm going to miss a call...
The alternative is to turn off wifi before you lock screen but I think that most of us need wifi on all the time to get mails and messages on time
true, this is a samsung prob it gave me a hard time many months back.
but also make sure u've wiped data before flashing.
but seriously why is this in accessories?!
I flashed many ROMs and wiped data but my Mini was still shutting down.. the Wake Lock is the real fix, I had no shutdowns for months now
I have the same problem!
Me too have the same prob.. ny sgm also runs in rc5.4 shuts down itself

SGA not starting

Hi,
My phone isnt starting.
Not in downalod mode , nor in Recovery.
I had flashed a ROM after full wipe and said restart in recovery.
After that phone isnt starting.
The weird thing is i have seen people who brick their phone, the phone atleast starts with a blank screen, in my case the phone doesnt start at all
Please Help me
You got hard bricked mate, the others had a soft brick
What exactly did you flash?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk 2
Hard Brick, only solution is to go to service center. What did you do exactly? And...you sure you pressed the right combinations for DL mode?
The Mokee-Dhamaal Rom.
I gave it to the service center today. I didnt tell them i rooted and this happened.Just told them phone isnt starting
If it gets Hard bricked will it ever recover ? or the samsung guys can fix it?
and it was just normal Flash.. i have flashed 100's of ROM.. upgraded to 4.04.. downgraded...
but don't know what wrong did i do
Isnt it wierd Its just doesnt start .. means I think if its a software problem atleast it should start with a blank screen ?

Your motherboard could have died.
Did you use rom manager?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk 2
No I didnt
What is the exact model of your SGA?
GT 5830
Try
Try to install other rom with all the wipes. Sorry for my bad english
your best bet is a service centre, tell them that kies did it
take battery out, do the download combination at the same time as putting the battery back in,,, iv had my phone not turn on after doing some stuff with cwm

[Q] Russian JB with dead GSM

I flashed the latest Russian Jelly Bean ROM today with Odin and everything works... Except GSM. The phone part works for two seconds and then dies, then again two seconds and dead. I can select a network and it can register on the network but most of the time it looks like it's just in flight mode.
Should I try to downgrade or is there some fix I should try before? I tried searching but didn't find much.

Did factory reset? Lot users had that problem if they didn't do that.
Sent from Galaxy S Advance
I didn't. What's the procedure now? Factory reset and then flash it again?
Hvala
Ok I made a factory reset and now it works. But the implementation is hideous, wifi and battery are worse and everything is a bit laggy. AOSP would be a blessing at this point. Thanks.

No, now do factory reset. Go to recovery, you will find it there. Turn phone on with VolumeUp+Home+Power.

Yes... after Factory Reset... Root it and use Root apps and Custom Kernels to make your phone fly.....
At first I was disappointed with JB... but now after a lot of miscellaneous tweaks, my phone runs much better than GB!!

[Q] Recovery S3 Mini

Hey guys..
I have a question which i can't seem to find anywhere else on the forums.. I've searched Google and XDA but i have had no luck what so ever..
I've tried the recovery guides here, but they don't work (Odin guide)..
Let's cut to the point.. I have this S3 Mini ( or a friend of mine ) which is passcode locked.. KIES doesn't help me at all, and so doesn't Samsung own HP...
So far i've learned that all the stuff you need to to requires turning on dev mode on the phone.. ( 3 button press etc etc ) i can't even enter debugging mode due to that stupid passcode lock..
If anyone can help me make a hard reset / recovery, that'll surely make my day a loooot better
Thanx in advance and i'll be sure to give a thumbs up to anyone who contributes
Go into download mode and than flash some rom.

Naah it doesn't... It kinda bothers me that Samsung haven't got a "here's how to" guide to factory reset their phone.. I was hoping not to do all sorts of rooting etc...
There's got be to some kinda way to make it happen without having to flash the **** out of it
have you tried going to recovery mode and do a factory reset from there?
