I flashed the latest Russian Jelly Bean ROM today with Odin and everything works... Except GSM. The phone part works for two seconds and then dies, then again two seconds and dead. I can select a network and it can register on the network but most of the time it looks like it's just in flight mode.
Should I try to downgrade or is there some fix I should try before? I tried searching but didn't find much.

Did factory reset? Lot users had that problem if they didn't do that.

I didn't. What's the procedure now? Factory reset and then flash it again?
Hvala
Ok I made a factory reset and now it works. But the implementation is hideous, wifi and battery are worse and everything is a bit laggy. AOSP would be a blessing at this point. Thanks.

No, now do factory reset. Go to recovery, you will find it there. Turn phone on with VolumeUp+Home+Power.

Yes... after Factory Reset... Root it and use Root apps and Custom Kernels to make your phone fly.....
At first I was disappointed with JB... but now after a lot of miscellaneous tweaks, my phone runs much better than GB!!

Thank you "jonpaslim" for your prompt reply.
Actually I didn't.
Because I'm worry about getting bricked by factory reset.
And also I'm not sure that I can do it the right way.

Im glad to help you. Thank you also.
this problem is called kernel wake lock.. you must downgrade to gb, do a full wipe then install a fresh ics via kies or odin, after booting up in ics go into your recovery mode holding volume up + home button + power key and clear your cache 4 time in a row this will solve your issue and maybe increase your battery life if you having any problem on ics related to battery backup

Take out the battery, and put it in. Press volume up the home button(hold them both) and then press the power button(now you should hold them all three, until you see that Galaxy S i9000 blabla)
You will get into recovery mode. To navigate use volume buttons. Go to factory reset, confrim by pressing the home button and let it work. when done reboot the phone(i think it will do that by it self)
Did that. Did it in the normal settings aswell it just keeps returning to the setting that my sister had

Go to dialer press *#1234# copy down info and post it here. Then I will post a link for you to download firmware for your phone to flash back to stock.

Get stock firmware from here and flash back to factory with Odin. You may even want to take this opportunity to upgrade firmware.

or you can do it on PC Companion if installed on your PC.
Either one, connect you phone, check for updates,
it will update or say you have the latest update, but give you a repair option.
But, if you do use repair, it will wipe data from your phone so back up any contacts, media or app's you want to keep.
You could try a Factory Reset on your phone first, this resets defaults.
Settings >> Back Up & Reset >> Factory Data Reset >> Reset Phone >> Erase Everything
or you can do it on PC Companion if installed on your PC.

Try the Factory Reset first, that wont affect ICS to JB, but back up your stuff.
Ha, you can't have the best of both worlds, either stay on ICS with no camera or update to JB.

Hello,
I have a problem with my HTC one. Device reboots 2-3 times per day, when I'm using WiFi, GPS navigation or just making some calls.
I'm using stock rom and actually made factory reset for device and problem wasn't solved.
What it can be and how I can solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

If you are stock and have tried factory reset already I think you probably have a hardware problem - bad memory maybe.

But i'm newbie in android and actually do not know how to downgrade to older stock rom. Can you provide me with information/manual how to perform downgrade to stock rom 4.1.2
Thank you in advance.
Hi, my razr i(xt890) have 2 years now and start to have problems like sudden loss of signal and reboot shortly after that, especially when I'm using 3g or making / receiving a call .. I have tried to wipe data / factory reset on fastboot and factory reset on settings, but after 2 or 3 days the problems happen again .....
My question is, has anyone had or know how to solve this problem? or does anyone know how to clean it real, delete all, REALLY like factory? Because after the wipes I noticed my files are still there, and directories of applications too, so I found it weird, Wipe data isn't suposed to WIPE? .... If I install a ROM it would look like new? I do not understand much of it ... PS the bootloader is unlocked and the phone is rooted. I love the phone, don't want to buy another.... Thanks for anyone to help.
You can flash a stock ROM using RSD Lite. This should wipe everything excluding your micro SD.
RSD Lite.

np, i really asked if you have a loose SD or SIM...
And "nothing special installed" means nothing or just a little bit installed?
And exactly which ROM is installed?
Maybe u try another ROM...
I have the Retail UK/British Version: 9.8.2I-50_SMI-29 FULL installed.

Ah got it, so I don't really think that is a hardware problem, because the problem was happening really frequently, and when I flash the stock rom it stop happening for 15 days... I don't think I have any problem like loose SD or SIM, cause I noticed that it only happens when I'm recieving a call or when I turn on the data (3g)... this is a specific situation, not every time.
Nothing special means I don't really install many things after wipe data, because I don't want to reinstall everything in case didn't solve the problem.
And I never installed mods and lounchers... nothing like that
My version is 9.8.2I-50_SML-20.20
and I don't know if you need this: 982.50.20.XT890.Brasil.en.BR
Thanks again

OK, we are getting closer.
1. try this: call *#*#4636#*#* (it´s a hiden menu)
- open first menu
- below the text u can change your data-connection-typ. try to use fix type like "GSM only" or "WCDMA only".
(dont change any other options in the hiden menu!)
2. if the fix type connection dont fix ur problem try another ROM. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239706
i dont know ur preferred language, maybe:
Branding: Claro Puerto Rico
Version: 9.8.2I-50_SML-25 FULL
or
Branding: Claro Brasil
Version: 9.8.2I-50_SML-23 FULL
