After flashing an AOSP rom on my One, I decided to back onto ARHD 10.2. (Note: I did a complete full wipe and everything before flashing back.) Now I'm getting a notification that says "No signal, limited service". I don't get any service at all and the only way I can remedy it is by turning Airplane Mode on and then back off. After doing so, my service returns. This always occurs after a reboot. I do notice that the network mode defaults to GSM/WCDMA auto. I already tried going under Mobile Network Settings to toggle the preferred network, but it keeps defaulting to GSM/WCDMA auto after reboot. (Also tried *#*#4636#*#*) Any ideas on what happened or what I should do? I have an AT&T HTC One by the way. I will try to flash the stock AT&T RUU (1.26) but I'm not sure if that will help at all.
EDIT: When I go back to AOSP (Paranoid Android, specifically) my signal seems fine; I can get data, texts, and calls.

Ok here's the deal. Upgraded to ICS 232 and all went pretty much flawless other than motoprint no longer works. All was good and I was in happy land. However with ICS was stuck in 4g mode all the time and was sucking my battery like a hungry vampire. So I went into phone info and changed to CDMA auto PRL . Locked me in 3g only. Was back in happy land, battery life good again. Well I wanted to use my 4g so I went in to turn it on and it kills all data. No 4g, no 3g not even evdo. When I reboot it always resets back to CDMA auto PRL only.
Any ideas short of factory reset?

Turn off phone, remove SIM, reboot without SIM. After it's on, turn it off again, re-insert SIM and restart it. Try toggling 4G with *#*#4636#*#*
This sometimes works, as does toggling airplane mode

Same problem for me. I have tried toggling airplane mode, tried toggling wifi, rebooting, simply cannot get the phone out of cdma only (prl) mode.if anyone has experience in fixing this, it would be greatly appreciated! I even went though VZW's level 3 tech support and told then I have Ics on my bionic (which didn't void my warranty?) But they were at a loss...

you cannot switch back to 4g (LTE/CDMA/EvDo) if you have "Data roaming" enabled. Uncheck the data roaming box and try it again. Worked for me. :good:
Had this happen to me when I tried to enable Juice Defender's AOSP helper on the official ICS (though I had to update manually using HouseofBionic's method). It dropped me to 3G only, and the "preferred network" setting is grayed out, but showing LTE/CDMA. Clearly, the setting was inaccessible.
I uninstalled AOSP Helper, then disabled JuiceDefender.
Then I went into the Hidden Menu (that 4636 thing) and it says CDMA Auto (PRL). I tried to change it to CDMA/LTE/EVDO , then reboot, but it's still 3G. Went back into Hidden menu, it's back to CDMA Auto (PRL).
Went back in, change it again to CDMA/LTE/EVDO, but this time there's a "refresh" button below that, to update the IMSC I think. I hit that.
Reboot phone, now I have no 3G
Went to settings / data usage to toggle data, nothing.
Went to airplane mode, out, and voila, 4G/LTE.
Not sure which one of those actually forced the update, but it worked, so if someone else had the same problem, try that.
My m7vzw seems to be stuck in 3g mode. I'm running cyanogenmod 11, snapshot 10. I've tried to reflash to the stock ROM and updated the radio, but nothing seems to help.
The strange thing is that it will work perfectly fine with LTE if I go to Settings -> Mobile Networks -> Preferred Network Type, and choose "LTE". But, when that settings is in place, I can't make phone calls. If I change it back to "CDMA+LTE/EVDO", it goes straight into 3g mode. So, I don't think it's a problem with the radio being unable to use 4G, it seems more like a "preference" thing.
Any ideas?
I bought a Sprint One early on before the Verizon version had come out, with the thought that I would flash it over to use on PagePlus. I rooted, firewater s-offed, and had it flashed. Everything seemed great on the stock ROM.
Then I go to load CM, and it seems to go well. The only problem is every time I boot or come out of airplane mode, I have to toggle the Preferred network setting away from CDMA/EvDO auto to something else, and then back again, before it will connect to the network. I lived with it for awhile, but now with the latest version of CM, the system shows no connectivity at all, even when I am connected. It still works, but it is becoming increasingly annoying to use.
I have loaded the latest PRL, and flashed the most recent radio.
Any thoughts?

You have an Verizon sim card installed?
Hi,
I'm not getting any 3g signals on my Xperia V after flashing back to stock.
What I did:
1. Had CyanogenMod 11.x on my Phone for years. Worked just fine.
2. Switched to CyanogenMod 12.1 (Neo's Homebuilds) a few weeks ago. 3g still working.
3. Wanted to sell my phone - cause I got a new one - so flashed back to stock (9.2.A.2.5 Customized DE) using "XperiFirm" from Flashtool
4. After flashing 3g wasn't working anymore. Every time the phone switches to it I have zero bars and a red "x".
5. After switching to "only GSM" and a reboot I had a stable 2g connection. But as soon as I try to turn an 3g, I get zero bars and a red "x".
6. I switched back to CyanogenMod 12.1 (Neo's Homebuilds). Same problem - zero bars and a red "x"
7. Tried several different stock roms found in the "STOCK FIRMWARES for Xperia T,TL,V,TX" thread
8. Locked the Bootloader und used Sony PCC to repair my Phone
9. Did a factory reset
Additional info's:
I live in Germany
Provider is "o2"
Sim works in a different phone
Can't try out 4g since my provider doesn't offer it.
Everything else is working just fine
The phone is in a really good condition and would get me 100€+ easily. I really hope it is something that can be fixed.
So if anyone can offer some help I would appreciate it.
Try unbranded ftf Nordic or central Europe
Tried them all. No change.
My SI is 1270-9179 which is "Customized DE" if the information in this post is correct.
It is really wired. While finding the 3g networks in 2g mode, it behaves like there is no network at all when it switches. Doesn't even find 2g networks anymore and I have to switch do GSM only and reboot. Only emergency calls are allowed and under "Settings > About phone" it's looks like there is no SIM card.
Have u tried 4.1.2 or ICS.
And try with a different sim card
Hello I'm having some issues getting LTE to work on my Nexus 6 running BenzoRom.
I am only able to get 3G, when I previously had LTE working for a very long time. I'm not exactly sure what happened but I tried clearing, dalvik cache, cache, restoring default APN settings, restarting my phone, flashing a new rom, putting in a different sim card (with LTE working) and nothing fixed the issue.
I'm guessing I should just flash stock rom but I'd rather not go through the hassle. I think it might be my APN settings since I vaguely remember messing with it but I restored back to default and LTE still did not show up.
What the heck happened?
Have you gone into the phone menu? If not, *#*#4636#*#* then select phone... And look at my screen shot; at the preferred network type and the turn off volte flag... Yours may say turn on. I reboot after selecting the network and turning on the volte flag
Then in settings/more/cellular networks there should be enhanced 4g/LTE mode, turn that on of it isn't already.
Ya, I'm a dope... Adding the screenshot I referenced.
