How do you manage your "Nook Friends" without the stock Nook Color Nook app?
The Android Market Nook app doesn't have this feature, and I can't find anywhere to do this on the desktop website either.
Anyone figure this out??
I'm Running CM7 of course.
Anyone?
And is there a way to do LendMe via CM7?
It's a stock only feature.

If you long press a book and then "details", don't lend me books show a tab for it? Looks that way on the B&N website. I can't check as I do not have any lend me books. They are few and far between.....

You are right, there is not a version of CM10 for the HD yet. And on stock, that navigation bar on the bottom is permanent. You cannot disable it.

Well,, we still need a back and menu button either way.

Agreed.
Is there anything that people with a NookHD can do to assist as it seems there are commonalities between the devices?
I have ADB up and running and have some basic Linux skills.
Cheers,
John.

Assist with what?

If you have root, try Button Savior. It gives me that back button and menu functionality.

Assist with moving towards getting CM10 on the HD (running via the SD card).
It seems that most of the development in this area is on the HD+. I think I've read that the HD has different HW......
Thanks,
John.

I'm sure that verygreen will eventually publish a version. He says it has different hardware and booting software. I think his priority now is getting it smoothed out for HD+.

I can't seem to get gmail to run from cm10. Every time I attempt to launch it, it pulls up a screen that looks like its trying to run, and then just returns to the launcher. No error or anything, just simply won't run. I downloaded it from 1mobile app store.
Is this a known issue? Or am I doing something wrong?
BTW Google + does the same thing. Is there something I can do to run these apps on cm10? Or do I just have to check on the browser for email or Google+ updates?

Do you have gapps installed? I noticed you said you got it from 1mobile. I am pretty sure you need gapps so you can get your Google credentials verified. Get gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip from goo.im.

That's what was missing. Thank you. Now it's working. I figured there had to be something that told cm10 how to log me in to my Google account, but I didn't know how that worked. Now I do!

Is anyone else having trouble with MT? I can get the default widget to show but any attempt to customize causes a crash. Works fine on rooted stock, but not on hybrid cm 10.

I don't know the answer, but stock is ics and CM10 is jellybean. Did you check the Play Store store to see if it is compatible with jellybean?

It is, I use it on my gnex with 4.2.2, and I reloaded from play, it should check that, right?

Actually "not should check". This depends how application is written. But if look how famous Minimalistic text is i guess that it looks.
I recommend on Hybrid first clean Minimalistic text cahce and data (on Settings-Applications->My Apps->Minimalistic text <- this step by step on stock launcher). Then remove application and look to sdcard/Android/data folder. If there you see something named with devmil.minimalistic then delete it. Now you may reboot and install it again. Hope problems is gone.
If not then problem is somewhere on Hybrid side i think which on i dont belive.
Hey, has anyone besides myself and Leapinlar noticed the HD running CM10.1 causing a slowdown in wifi networks? I experimented rather extensively and found that my 25-30mbps network dropped to nothing on other devices when the HD was using wifi. No trouble when my HD+ is on wifi and I downgraded the HD to cm10 to test it and it works. Since the cm10 development seems to have been abandoned for cm10.1 on the HD, I'd like to confirm that it is widespread so i can let the dev know. I have a message off to the Color dev who fixed a similar problem.
If you haven't noticed, please run a speed test on a computer or other mobile device on your network with Nook HD wifi off, then turn on the wifi and run speed test on the other device one or two more times to compare the speed.
Thanks!

I told you I thought I had mine fixed with a new wireless access point. Well, not so. When the HD running 10.1 connects, my laptop stalls.
I also contacted eyeballer via PM who I thought was the one who fixed it on the Color, but he has not responded. Is that who you contacted? You also might try #nookcolor on irc, sometimes he hangs out there.

Well, that's good to know, not for you, but that it isn't just me.
No, it took me lots of searching, but it was Steven who posted that fix. I gather from the post it was wlan firmware, but I haven't heard back from him yet. The fact that it doesn't seem to happen on cm10 gives me hope that it won't be a hard fix. Just wanted to get more data points before bugging bokbokan.

I got a reply from eyeballer. He said they just updated the wifi firmware from omapzoom and it just magically fixed itself. So maybe that is what bokbokan needs to do.

I've never seen it on HD+. Are you seeing it?

The slow down talked about in this thread is not the device itself slowing down, it was other devices connected to the same router slowing down when the HD was connected. This has not been observed with the HD+ as far as I know.
