[Q] Data connectivity problem

hello everybody,
i have a weird problem with a rooted/romed samsung galaxy I9000 happening with mobile data:
I do receive a "unnable to connect to server" error, whenever i try to connect via web browser or play store or any data using application.
the fact is that the small 3G or H or G logo appear next to reception bars, but these ones as well as the logo aren't colored (I did noticed that these element are colored when there is data connectivity Wfi or mobile)
disabling/enabling mobile data doesn't fix anything.
most weird thing is that i am able to ping succesfully some servers, meaning that connection appear to be good.
I did try with many differents rom, kernels & radios, tried to go back to stock samsung or EZ-Base but nothing is solving the problem.
APN settings are all ok regarding my provider.
Do someone have any clue a about this problem ? I have find some thread with same things, but nver solutionned.

[SOLVED] Data connection not working properly

Hello, I got an xperia z three weeks ago and it has always worked perfectly until yesterday: I'm experiencing strange mobile data connection issues. I can surf the web but if I disconnect and connect again, the connection may freeze: the H icon (or g or e..) appears and phone seems to transmit data as it shows an up arrow but the down arrow never appears and I can't surf the web. Toggling data and airplane mode may allow me to connect successfully but it's always pretty random..
I started thinking it was a software issue.. So i flashed The phone with the utility twice.. No success. Carrier issue? Nope: it's all ok and apn settings are ok as I can use them. Hardware issue? Perhaps as I found out that removing the SIM card and inserting it back in a certain way could make the difference (higher rate of successful connections).. So what do you think? Could be the SIM card (I got a new one in December though), the phone or something I did not consider? Sadly I can't test a different SIM now but as soon as I can find one, I will try. Thank you!

Does it happen while your using the device or when it's sleeping you turn device back on? I also have sort the same issue but with WiFi..

Ok.. I found out the cause.. It is the carrier.. They said itwas all ok but many are reporting my same issues in my country.. So not fixed yet but I can stop flashing my phone twice a day.

[Q] can't scan wifi

I need help.I use my phone to scan for wifi ,my phone can't scan my own wifi but other wifi signal.I thought maybe it's my own router got problem but when i use my ipad to scan,it can scan yet connect to it.So,what's the problem?

sometimes this happens to me too, but after switching the wlan off amd on again my ace find the wlan

Try to flash the lastest stock rom via odin

Strange Wifi Issue

I just picked up another Z1 for myself after my wife took the other one ( . Like last one I updated to the latest FW.
I have strange wifi issues where my Z1 wont work on wifi - i mean it connects to the router but no interenet at all. Google Play store and spotify seems to connect to the internet but I can not browse any websites.
Also on a room with a wifi repeater even Google Play store doesnt work. I have tried restoring to factory settings and whatnot and still I am unable to browse on wifi using chrome. When I try to setup a hotspot using iPhone and then browse - everything seems to work then.
All other devices such as iPhone 5 and Z10 work just fine. Should I return the phone or is there a work around ?

Do you have any security software? I found kaspersky did this to me by changing the proxy on wifi

WiFi Problem with new Nexus 6

Hi Guys,
i got my Nexus 6 yesterday, everything worked fine. I rooted it with cfroot, root worked and i think wifi too. Today i saw that my Nexus is not connected to wifi. Wifi was disabled. I tried to enable Wifi and it didn't work. The Phone doesn't find any Wifi, when i get to home screen and then back to Wifi it's disabled again. Is this any setting in Lollipop which i don't see or is it a bug / brick?

It's possibly one of your apps causing wifi to keep disabling itself. No problems here.

Thx for your answere! I found out what was the problem: i copied the wpa_supplicant.conf from the old to the new phone, which blocked the wifi feature... does anybody know how i can can get all wifi data to the new phone?

just searching here but can you flash the stock radio image to fix this?

the wifi function is now working again after i deleted the wpa_supplicant.conf but i would like to get the wifi data on the new phone....
