Zeus 6.39 (and also 6.4n) are the roms tha has been more worked and improved by huexxx.... Obviously... yes it gives the best performnace and also supports OC up to 1.35Ghz.... (balances the outdated kernel and outperforms most roms) its the gaming rom for optimus black, but compared with ICS, it lacks features that are very apreciated in daily use.
Anyway... a rock solid rom wich I had on my black for months with no Reboots and issues.... Just a Huexxx job ^^

I'm afraid that you could not find an answer for that question , cause i also tried asking the same question and ended up at Jetpack ROM+Sempahore, but you yourself have to try !!
Human's are weird beings, so go ahead an try the rom's,kernels that meet your prerequisites !!
Hope that was helpful!
Yeah, just try several differnet roms and kernels and decide which you like best. I suggest using something based on stock Samsung rom like JVR. IMHO right now roms based on 2.3.4 JVR are smoother and more stable than MIUI and CM7. I for one haven't had any issues with the battery for quite some time
Want something simple , Fast, Bug free, ?
Romkitchen.org Got my misses SGS running GB 2.3.4 JVR.. rooted, de-odexed, with Speedmod kernel.
its great.
Im also a MIUI User, some things BUG me, but i cant tear myself from it, I love the customisation.
Got final hybrid rom with latest talon kernel and acid tweaks getting 3200 in qaudrant !
i am just wondering is it worth going to jvs from jvr ?

Thanks for the replies every one , can any one lead me to the Tornado rom thread ? i can't seem to find it or Jetpack rom , or any ROM source ??? i would like a thread that contains a list of ROMS that i can try them out
lets say i have got a stable rom , what tweaks should i be start doing ?? like lag fixes and stuff

Which ROM?
I suggest you to get a ODEXed ROM, as it runs smoother. Most deodexed ROMs I tried get slower from time to time. Deodexing is only good for theming, but I recommend you stock theme as it is the most clean. So to have less problems (RAM scripts and tweaks often cause instability) I recommend you to get Stock JVR, semaphore Kernel and if you need some extras from custom ROMS get "Stock +" Mod from $omator. JVS seems to have problems with Wifi and DHCP, so JVR is the better choice for the moment.
If stock ROM is looking to boring for you, you can also get Simplicity which is also very performant and has a great addon creator for theming and additional system apps.
I am now running on Tornado, stability, speed and battery are good, but some apps like calculator and calendar have been stripped, Kernel is running peaks up to 1440 Mhz and it is also not supported here.
So the conclusion for your questions answer would be:
1. Stock JVR ROM with Semaphore and Stock+ 1.5 odexed
2. Simplicity 0.40

Thanks for the reply and the effort , i think STOCK rom alone is just too boring for me and not even enough , i will try Tronado rom as alot of people been using it , and iam not a fan of over clocking as i have too much problems already lol
also i have scripts and they are not reallying doing anything harmfull like Supercharger script
I have now moved to jetpack jvs

First ou should not ask any others opinion for this matter. Must test some ROMs as per your choice and decide which one is better for you.
As you asked just I am sharing my experience. I tried almost all ROMs available on this forum. I found most suitable for me 3 ROMs.
1. GingerDX: Good stable rom. Working everything. less lag and FC.
2. Finally I choose Ginger Cruz 8.2. I liked this ROM only for Xperia like interface. Also stable and fast ROM.
3. You can try Froyo Pro v1.1. Its light nd fast rom for first use.
For any question can PM me.

you have to decide between Froyo Pro and GDX.
try these roms. It will take just an hour to test both of the ROMs performance.
Again in my opinion Froyo Pro will win.

There is alot of custom roms and all of us has their favorite rom, so its all up to you to decide which rom suite you the best, try a couple of them and see by yourself, because all of us using their phones different and have a different expectations......
P.S. BTW iv been using alomost all roms out there and i find that froyoPro is the best choice( atleast for me) its fast, everything work like it should it dont have any battery drain and most important of all its stable very stable and fast even without overclock
giger dx > >. ..>
GingerXperia v11 with Alfs kernel v04. It's fast, stable and contains much RAM and great performance.
Gingercruzt v8.4 + alfs v4 custom kernel... If you are going for the semi-sony ericsson stock look.. hehehe.. in my opinion.. Smooth as butter!
I use GDX,GC,GX but they are not good for me now im using miniCM 2.1.5 + nAa 6b its very fast smooth and no lag battery life is also better than other roms

I've never used that kernel, but i'm guessing your phone doesn't like undervolting. So, keep it at a low frequency like 1ghz and you sgould be fine, otherwhise you have to mess with the voltages.

All of it, from his post to his sig.
Almost all ICS ROMs are blazing fast. CM has more experience, AOKP is really stable, Gummy has more tweaks.. Try them and choose.
IMHO, my favorites are F4k v4 (fqst, stable, good battery life), TWICS (SGS3 themed) and TiramiSlim (amazing customization).

For me the best combination ever is:
ROM: RemICS-UX v1.3
Kernel: Devil3 0.79
This is sooo smooth...fast...and stable!
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
Use this setup (its the same as what I use) No lag fix needed!
Use devil kernel with these features:
-Bigmem 403mb Ram
-Ultra KSM
-Smooth UI
-Smooth Governor profile
-Lulzactive (or any performance governor)
-Live Overclock
-Disable Fsync (you will lose data in a crash but better performance.)
-vr I/O Scheduler
Then tune your cm9 settings to these:
-1400MHz Overclock (100min)
-Don't use surface dithering (costs performance)
-Use 16bit transparency (increases performance)
-Allow Purging of Assets
-NO zram!!! It = LAG
Then you have a super fast phone like me

i need help Before flash CM9 ..

hi guys ...
i need to flash CM9 on my i9000 ..
but i need some help ..
...
1- i need Siii Additions ( TWlauncher - weather widget .....)
2-what is the best kernal ?? (semaphore or devil) + with big RAM ..
3- are the latest version of CM9 work fine ?? ( stable + every apps work + good battery)
.....
Use C-RoM BeaN v1.8.0. It's based on CM10 Jelly Bean which is smoother and faster than CM9 ICS. It has TouchWiz and OTA updates (over the air) and i recommend Semaphore kernel bexause it's very stable and good kernel. And i recommend you to run the V6 Supercharger script too.
---------- Post added at 10:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:10 PM ----------
And yes CM9 has good battery life and all is working fine. I'm using CM9 but i recommend you to use C-RoM
i have one more help ..
can i use this app
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
to change (emmc folder to sdcard/external_sd ) ??
+ if i use it .. is the data game work fine from external sd ??
You can use that app. And data of all your games works fine in external sd if i understood your last question properly.
Thanks
