I get Google Keyboard FC's whenever I change my cid to anything other than AT&T CWS__001. It works fine with that one but it FC's with HTC__001 and supercid. I've tried deleting the app data and uninstalling and reinstalling it. I'm on ARHD 10.2.
Bump

I made a thread about it a few days ago and apparently people couldn't care less about the issue. Up until now I couldn't deduct that it was the CID causing the issues. I changed my CID from HTC__001 to BS_US001 and now it works fine.
Thanks!
I made a new thread in General for troubleshooting. Apparently it's the HTC__001 CID.
Reply in that thread please from now on.

Hi... so i tried to post this in the development thread but this is actually my first post cause i usually troubleshoot my phone alright reading through the posts but yea... I am stuck on this one like you are.
I got the international HTC One with Original CID HTC__001. I am unlocked and s-off and completely stock Hboot and recovery and I went to 2.24.401.1 about a week ago by changing my CID to HTC__Y13 then i changed it back to HTC__001.
I got google keyboard, but when u run the app, it doesn't show up on the list of keyboards, so you can't really finish the setup to begin with.
I changed my CID to CWS__001. it worked but there is a peculiar E to the right of the wifi icon up top (and it is not edge its in a different spot and Wifi is running). I'm not planning on leaving the CID on CWS__001 anyways but it installed and set up perfectly and I played around with it for a bit. When I switched back to HTC__001 it went back to the sense keyboard.
Very weird issue here... not making any sense.

Hello. im sorry if this is not the right places, but here is what i can tell you.
I did the whole s-off, custom hboot, custom recovery business.
changes the ap? to 111111 (cant remember how many it was) to use the att update to ics.
installed virtuous rom.
i used the sim from my iphone 4 with a sim adapter to make it fit properly.
i got my unlock code. not sure if i can say where, so i wont. i got the link somewhere on xda and it seemed legit.
i just get unsuccesfulll...
and im scared to do it again, because i dont know how many more tried i have, it might only be 1 more time.
11140626
IMEI # 358730040400582
i double checked, this is correct.
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
could that be messing up my unlock?
going to try flashing back to stock rogers, i have a feeling thats whats messing it up

In the middle of downloading the stock RUU again...in the same boat here.
By chance is there any other way around this?
Not sure if this has any bearing, but could it have anything to do with the fact that I have changed my CID to 111111 from what it was previously (ROGERS3 - or something...dont remember what it was doh!).
Thanks
No, supercid did not effect it, just go back to stock, sim should unlock now, and repeated the process back to the way you want, good luck, I can't really offer much more advice, I would concider myself a noob that reads alot.

I believe you have to use the unlock code on the stock non rooted non unlocked phone before upgrading.

Just curious if anyone with an AT&T One has changed their CID and MID and tried to RUU one of the 1.2x international FW's to get the 2.24 OTA?
If so, did it work?

I changed my friend's AT&T one to develop edition, and everything works perfectly including ota.
However, he doesn't get 2.24 ota yet.
I think there are many information about how to change in here.

Hi guys!
Im a noob in this section of the forum .
I just bough a Htc One from someone and it was the version from Taiwan.
Its the version Htc One 801e.
I live in Greece ,Europe so I tried to make my Htc an Euoropen one.
What I did the first thing was be unlocked ,S-Off and to change CID so now I have SuperCid.
Than I tried to change and the Model ID.
I took the tutorial from here and the file from step 2 just [email protected]#*t my new phone.I could boot in fastboot only but the screen was washed with many colors.I installed a wrong hboot.
I dont know why I needet this file because the zip file was for Htc Dna.
What I did to revive my phone was to download the firmware zip file from here and install it like the other one.
Now do I need the change Model ID so I can use the RUU for European Version or I'm ok with SuperCid an S-Off?
If yes any good tutorial because the last one wasnt a good one!
You have no reason to try to change model id. S-off and eng hboots are serious stuff, you could easily brick your phone. Set super cid. Flash ruu. Good to go.

OK thanks m8!

MID and CID need to be correct, then you can flash the correct RUU or backup of a suitable ROM, and then OTAs should appear. Of course, you'll need stock recovery to install them.

I'm not 100% on this, but I believe mid does not matter. With the Google edition, people who did not change mid still received ota's. Plus changing the mid is a lot riskier than changing the cid.

I want this for the European RUU so I will have a Htc One like a 801n expect of the LTE that I will not have because of the radio!

Hey Guys,
I've just discovered something strange on my Butterfly S.
In Settings -> Power the "Sleep Mode" option disappeared. I have no idea, how it happened... I have a completely stock 4.2.2 (1.23.708.3) ROM, my device is non-rooted, S-ON, bootloader locked.
Have you experienced anything like this?

Hm... that certainly explains it
But still, it's strange: I could have sworn I saw that menu item right after I purchased my phone. And HTCs support site definitely mentioned it well before the 4.3 update (this is how I learned what this feature is for).
Under power in setting, there is sleep mode and I'm running 4.2.2.

Now, this is getting really interesting
Which version of the 4.2.2 ROM are you running? The original (1.11.708.1) or the updated (1.23.708.3) one?
Maybe the 1.23.708.3 OTA update removed this feature...

Yep, there are different builds for different CIDs:
1.11.707.1-Southeast Asia with CID HTC__044
1.11.708.1-Hong Kong with CID HTC__622
1.12.709.2-Taiwan with CID HTC__621
So stealthenator2 apparently has a CID HTC__044 device.
My CID is HTC__622 so I used to have 1.11.708.1 and then updated by OTA to 1.23.708.3.

I think I will try a factory reset, and see if it changes the situation.
Is it going to delete the apps in /data/preload (like the bootloader unlock)?

OK, I did a factory reset. "Sleep mode" is still missing. So I guess it was the 1.23.708.3 update that removed it, after all...
My phone is now fixed... YEY! Speakers working again.... But they replaced the whole unit apart from the front so the entire thing is new and thus latest firmware 1.57 hboot and S-ON....
Please tell me there's a way to achieve S-OFF? It's a conundrum even for an old hat like myself apparently lol....
