Hey Guys,
I've just discovered something strange on my Butterfly S.
In Settings -> Power the "Sleep Mode" option disappeared. I have no idea, how it happened... I have a completely stock 4.2.2 (1.23.708.3) ROM, my device is non-rooted, S-ON, bootloader locked.
Have you experienced anything like this?

Hm... that certainly explains it
But still, it's strange: I could have sworn I saw that menu item right after I purchased my phone. And HTCs support site definitely mentioned it well before the 4.3 update (this is how I learned what this feature is for).
Under power in setting, there is sleep mode and I'm running 4.2.2.

Now, this is getting really interesting
Which version of the 4.2.2 ROM are you running? The original (1.11.708.1) or the updated (1.23.708.3) one?
Maybe the 1.23.708.3 OTA update removed this feature...

Yep, there are different builds for different CIDs:
1.11.707.1-Southeast Asia with CID HTC__044
1.11.708.1-Hong Kong with CID HTC__622
1.12.709.2-Taiwan with CID HTC__621
So stealthenator2 apparently has a CID HTC__044 device.
My CID is HTC__622 so I used to have 1.11.708.1 and then updated by OTA to 1.23.708.3.

factory reset
I think I will try a factory reset, and see if it changes the situation.
Is it going to delete the apps in /data/preload (like the bootloader unlock)?

OK, I did a factory reset. "Sleep mode" is still missing. So I guess it was the 1.23.708.3 update that removed it, after all...

HTC seems to release phones with s-off accidentally all the time. Makes me think they are throwing a bone to developers.

I have an international (Taiwan) HTC one running firmware version 1.29 with android 4.1.2 and I noticed that the 4.2.2 update has come out but I've been hitting the check update button all day but it still says “your phone is up to date ". I've tried rebooting the phone several times but still no luck.
Also I noticed that people on xda are talking about a 2.17 firmware that I also never received. Can someone tell me what's going on and how to get the OTA update?
Thanks in advance

2.17 is a leaked ROM, not officially released. Check what CID you are on just to make sure you're actually holding a Taiwanese set.
Thanks for the response. How do I check for my CID? I'm pretty sure I have a Taiwanese handset since I bought it from a Taiwanese carrier (chunghua).

Type fastboot getvar cid in cmd.
Hi guys!
Im a noob in this section of the forum .
I just bough a Htc One from someone and it was the version from Taiwan.
Its the version Htc One 801e.
I live in Greece ,Europe so I tried to make my Htc an Euoropen one.
What I did the first thing was be unlocked ,S-Off and to change CID so now I have SuperCid.
Than I tried to change and the Model ID.
I took the tutorial from here and the file from step 2 just [email protected]#*t my new phone.I could boot in fastboot only but the screen was washed with many colors.I installed a wrong hboot.
I dont know why I needet this file because the zip file was for Htc Dna.
What I did to revive my phone was to download the firmware zip file from here and install it like the other one.
Now do I need the change Model ID so I can use the RUU for European Version or I'm ok with SuperCid an S-Off?
If yes any good tutorial because the last one wasnt a good one!
You have no reason to try to change model id. S-off and eng hboots are serious stuff, you could easily brick your phone. Set super cid. Flash ruu. Good to go.

OK thanks m8!
So with SuperCid and S-Off I am ok to flash any RUU???

MID and CID need to be correct, then you can flash the correct RUU or backup of a suitable ROM, and then OTAs should appear. Of course, you'll need stock recovery to install them.

So to make my HTC One like a Europian Version I should change the Cid to HTC__001 and Mid to PN0710000 ???

I'm not 100% on this, but I believe mid does not matter. With the Google edition, people who did not change mid still received ota's. Plus changing the mid is a lot riskier than changing the cid.

Thats why I am asking here id I need to change the MID.
I want this for the European RUU so I will have a Htc One like a 801n expect of the LTE that I will not have because of the radio!

As I said before, you should because GPe phones get their update with any mid, but there's no way to be certain until an ota comes out.

Well first things first, what firmware you on now, and what's you CID? Post a "fastboot getval all" (remove IMEI and s/n before posting).
The reason I'm asking, that as far as I know (could be wrong), I believe the latest available official OTA is for 4.2.2, firmware 2.24.401.8, with the exception of Taiwan and US Developer Edition.

You need to be completely stock to install update properly. S-off and locked/unlocked bootloader don't influence on update. I have bootloop if I lock my bootloader so I don't lock it before installing updates.
And if I posted that I have SuperCID - it automatically means that I have S-Off.
