Hey,
i wonder if you guys know why there is no camera sphere for the htc one m7 ?
Thanks.
I'm wondering if there's an alternative too. Coming from the nexus 4 it's the one feature I really miss.

Ahh man. Would love to see a replica app made. I love that feature on my cousins Nexus 4. If only HTC included it on the 4.2.2 update
You can manuakky install it through CWM (adds camera app and GAllery..) it also works on 4.1.2 as far as i can remember when modding my friends SGS2..
Im running Trickdroid rom on my M7, and one of the features in Aroma installer is the fact i can add stock JB Camera. . . this has the google photosphere function in it. . .
And you dont lose HTC's camera too...

Install and sort-of works on ARHD10.2 - google play services crashes on load, and the sphere resolution isn't great (plus the stitching is horrible) - I haven't used it on AOSP so can't really compare it to anything, but from this I don't see what the big fuss is about.
Thanks guys i love this mod

I dont know but probably its not very easy because it hasn´t been done, I think its necessary the htc framework or something..
I tried a lot of camera apps, I´m tented to create a camera thread, i tested vignette, camera 360 pro, camera zoom fx, lgcamera and none has face detection for example..

You're right in the Desire and DHD is the Cam from HTC, and without Sense Framework and Sense it won't work at all
I tried some thinks but without succes
It's frustrating, let me know if you found a decent camera app with face recognition and autoportrait.. but probably will have to wait for a sense gingerbread release..

Any camera app out there has a full screen viewfinder? Like those on HTC Sense camera.
I thought ICS has default feature for camera Panorama. Where is it in HTC Incredible S on ICS update?
I feel so out-dated. Most phones have it but my Incredible S?

our phone is old so they leave out different features to make us upgrade. just download a panorama app from the market. its like iphone 4 and 4s. my 4s can do panorama but my mates 4 cant. on the exact same 6.0 update.

i've been expecting that too. but HTC didn't bother to give inc s that feature. anyways you can always root and install a better ROM, till then use 360panaroma.
don't forget to push the thanks button..
Hey, I know this has been asked before, but no one seems to be answereing clearly, when can we expect AOSP roms on the HTC One, like, are we waiting for something? Or is it just that no ones tried yet?

lol nice
but I'm wondering why you'd go AOSP on this... the allure of this phone is the Zoe camera, the sense 5.0, and then software features... otherwise it's just a nice phone with a good design
I love AOSP and all, but stock experience is something I'd rather have on a phone with crappy UI (like the RAZR HD).
I love sense tbh, and ideally I'd like a de-sensed Rom, so I can keep the camera and such, but I think aosp looks soo much nicer, it's soo clean and smooth, and you can also get the newest features without having to wait months for HTC

Technically, but only if we get S-OFF so that the kernel doesn't have to be locked to whatever version of ROM that HTC has released.

Not for me. The allure of this device is it's hardware (CPU/GPU, metal unibody design, etc). I could care less about the camera since I rarely take pictures. And you can get cutting edge software enhancements that the OEMs can't/won't supply you with CM10.1.
If they come out with a VZW version, that's the first thing I'm going to do, is try and get CM10.1 on it (maybe at CM11 by this time).
Today androidnext.de postet the apk of the new camera app which is in the roms of the new GoogleEditions.
Works quite good. Only bug I found so far is the thing that auto rotate doesn't work if auto rotate itself is deactivated in the phone but that doesn't affect me that much.
Have fun!
4.3 Camera APK
NOTE: Better deactivate your current camera/gallery app.
PS. Found out that there is the option to take photos with the volumerocker :good:
Sorry for noob question
how to install it ?
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda app-developers app
Just deactivate your normal camera+gallery app (you can do this by choosing app-info through your launcher) and then just download the apk and install it like a normal app from play store
Thanks works like a dream. When I make my touchwiz ROM do I have permission to use this ROM.

Anybody know how to get back to CM10 camera app without full wipe?
Or maybe somebody can make a Titanium backup which concist CM10 camera/gallery app?
AOSP 4.1 is constantly crashing and max pic size is 3 megapixels.
I would be grateful.
This is the stock Android 4.3 camera, from build JSS15J
Among different interface from 4.2 camera, it's got a much more improved photosphere functionality.
Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?yh3ljxb3mqy9xlt
Just replace the gallery apk in /system/app with this one and set permissions to rw-r-r and set ownership to root, then reboot.
It's compatible with 4.2 roms
Enjoy! :good:
I dont think this is stable for every day use.. I might did something wrong because i did get some FC but is not bad looking and kind of faster than 4.2..

It's working good to me, no FC
Did you're running a high bigmem kernel? If so, try a non bigmem to see if it's better
No Photosphere!
Downloaded the app and installed it in my Nexus S running CM 10.1.2. Gallery and camera works fine (experienced random FCs), but Photosphere option is missing! How to get it working? The menu shows only Still, Video and Panorama; Photosphere icon (as in 4.2 camera) is missing.

The image shown is that of the camera settings. I was not talking about that. In the image there is a camera icon on the left, by hitting that you will get the other types of camera. But in my device the Photosphere option is missing from that menu. It was available earlier with 4.2 camera.
Got FC when switching from front cam to back cam. No other issues and the app is noticeably faster.
RE:
This app is missing many options. If you look at the 4.1.2 or 4.2 camera app there are much more options: such as outdoor visibility, anti shake etc etc.
I'm running CM 10.2 on Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE - i9305 ....the stock camera app is really really bad and lacks tons of effects, settings, exposure changes won't work, ISO changes don't work and I would really love to get back on 4.1.2. stock app if that is possible? Any one knows how to do that?
