Hello people, I'm new to this forum as a friend gave me a Galaxy i9003 for repair but I'm unable to get it working. I've tried to reflash but although it seems to do it then it's always stuck on bootloop. I can get into download mode so I think it's something ain't doing right, so I need your help.
These attached pictures show some errors with internal memory when I get into recovery.
Hey there,
Take a look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149455
In the first post, download the dbadata.rfs.tar file.
Turn the phone off, reboot it into Download mode (vol down + home + power), connect it to Odin.
Put dbsdata.rfs.tar under PDA, don't touch anything else, just let it flash.
Cheers

Odd... I don't see why that happened, being on an I9003 shoudn't make any difference...
Try take out the battery and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. It seems to work for some people (or variations of this method).
Or just keep trying to boot into download mode- it has worked for me once before, download mode suddenly working again after getting that symbol.
Worst comes to worst, it requires a USB jig, but there have been cases (including my own) where download mode has been recovered without needing a jig.
Did the error in Odin happen instantly? (you did everything correctly, judging by your screencap)

Please check i9003 for your phone as SGS 1 and 2 software may not be suited for your device just to be on the safe side
Got it into download mode using this method. Then flashed I9003XXKPE package but it's still bootlooping and recovery says that /data can't be formatted. I've seen this method that could solve this situation, but I would like to try to recover data partition before.
read carefully, choose, download urs n flash it, all there

hmm.. So it shows the yellow download pic and right after that goes into recovery? You tried to pull out battery and restart to download mode right after that? you got usb cable connected while doing that?
For me it worked always but again i got GT-I9000 but i would not imagine its that different with these two phones? Never heard of this kind of problem.. one more thing i can think of is trying to use the custom made usb dingle what are sold for example in ebay or you make one yourself that goes into download mode without button combination.
Try to update to latest firmware with kies too if that would solve the problem.. for me i had to do that the first time i started to play around with my phone because before that update i could not even go to download mode.
Thats all i can think about after drinking 10 cans of beer so hopefully even 1 of those helps your case. Hope you get it to work
-_-
Any other solutions besides buying a usb jig? I know there's a way to get it into download mode WITHOUT the phone even showing the android shoveling image. And the screen is just plain black. I forgot how to do it though, and what website I read the article.
you can build a usb jig http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551&highlight=usb+jig

I had the same problem. It was solve when I realise that the Korean version (M110S) enter DL mode by pressing only home key+power, while the I9000 need the 3 bottons combination.
helped a friend out about 4 months ago by flashing kg3 onto his galaxy s after it would crash repeatedly saying 'internal process (android system) error, must forceclose' and after that it worked fine,
but yesterday he said it won't boot up, won't go into download or recovery, the only screen interaction he can get is when it's plugged in it will say battery 100% charged,
when i plugged it into keys the computer beeped then said 'keys 2.0 doesn't recognize this phone' .... help please?!
Have you tried removing and re-inserting the battery? At times after doing that you are atleast able to get into the download mode.
you wil have to re install firmware

just double check. if you used to be able to get download mode then you shoud be able to get in it again. sgs are fairly hard to break. try removing the battery at full charge and leave all cables out when you do remove it . do the button combo and you should be good. after that happy flashing
Hi.
I have a Galaxy S+ I9001. I had cranyum rom installed on it. One day it just restarted and after it got stuck in bootloop.
It onlyshows SAMSUNG logo, and then restarts and so on...
I can't get into recovery using 3 button combo, but I can get into download mode.
The problem is that it appears to write ok with Odin Multi downloader 4.43, but when it gets to the reboot part, the phone just power off and gets to the same bootloop. If I disconnect the usb cable, it shows a vertical battery icon, then black screen, again battery icon, and so on... Tryed with a different battery witch was charged to 100% before flashing because I tought that it was running low on battery, but the result was the same.
Tryed many different firmware and same behavior.
Is it possible to be a hardware problem?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

It does't matter what I try to fash to the phone via Odin. It says thet the flash was successful, and goes to the same bootloop.
Tryed flashing different roms, feamod recovery, clockworkmod, bootloader. Nothing changes.
So flash full rom wit pit and then root it again then do what ever u like

The problem is that it's a Galaxy S Plus - I9001. I can't flash it with PIT file. That's only for Galaxy S - I9000.
Does the pit file works for Galaxy S+ also? All that I found with pit file was for Galaxy S.
I can flash mine with AriesOPS, but that doesn't do the trick. Same bootloop after flashing.

First remove battery and press power for a min, remove sim card and ext SD card and than reinsert battery and go into download mode Download the CWM 6.0 recovery, link on My Android Collections below and try to get recovery First, than go into recovery , In recovery WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition + format /system) enter advanced and wipe dalvik cache too than flash the ROM
I allready tried to do that. It flashes ok with odin multi downloader 4.43, but when it goes to restart, the phone gets back in the loop, and I can't get it to recovery via vol up+power (with or without usb connected). It just gets to the same boot loop in witch displays just the SAMSUNG logo for about one second, the restarts, and so on.

No, its not bricked, the solution may lie in the technique , have you tried these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660596 , :victory:BUT First it may wise IF used another PC or Lap top, just to be sure and also download a Broodplank ROM to flash

The problem it's that in the link that you provided, I must have access to recovery witch I do not have.
Or to use ADB, witch is possible if the phone goes after the Samsung logo at startup, but mine restarts exactly after the logo without going further.

Hi all. I have a problem with an S5830 which was on 2.3.6 Stock+Root. It was network locked (even if with the code to check it said every lock was off), so I tried the factory reset solution listed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9006090&postcount=1 using the code *2767*3855#. After the reboot my phone got stuck in a bootloop. I tried flashing with Odin many different fw, with and without data.rfs just to be sure it wasn't corrupted, but my phone just keep looping after the samsung logo.
Is there an easy way to fix it?
Thanks
Just in case it can be useful, more details:
1) After the Odin autoreboot it keeps lopping without even displaying the samsung logo (display just go on and off), but if i remove/insert battery and turn it on it loops after the samsung logo.
2) Download mode, Special download, and Ramdump mode works, but Recovery mode don't.

Go to www.themythace.com/flash-stock-rom.html & follow the steps. After flashing, odin shows, closing serial port & rebooting device or something like that. Wait until pass appears. This time your device ends up in a boot loop. Now, take off battery & go back to downloading mode & reflash via odin. This time your device might boot. Atleast for me it did...
I never had a head ache & some one recommended me rooting !!!
Hmmm I'm afraid yours is bricked, though not unfixable.
When in odin did you use the right .ops file ?
Also, which recovery were you using ?
It is possible that your partitions are corrupted.

I used the correct Cooperv1 ops (I had flashed with it other times when I was trying custom roms). I was using CWM as recovery. Also I tought about the partition getting corrupted, that's why I downloaded an old stock rom with all the filesystem .rfs files (including data) to recreate them, but still it didn't work. At this point my only guess is that efs got corrupted in some way (I even have a backup of it but dunno how to restore it, did it with the "cat xxx > /file" procedure while tring to get the network unlock code).
When you say it's not unfixable, what you mean exactly? Anything that I can do at home without sending it to Samsung?
Thanks for your time.
Hmmm. I suspect your guess is right, perhaps someone else may know how to restore it.
I had to send mine to Samsung, and although they said they gave me a new motherboard I suspect they simply used jtag.

I tried many times, with different roms, one package and not. Nothing fixed it. If it's the efs corrupted I think there is nothing you can do, even if I can go in download mode.
I think there is a way to flash cwm recovery via Odin you could try that, it could fix it but I'm not to sure but it's always worth ago
And when using Odin you just need ops file checked and one package checked and untick the first box were the three boxes are

I am looking for some serious help, I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 4G LTE (SGH-i957) through the instructions that I found on this site by first installing Clockworkmode Recovery and then installing Jelly Bean 4.1.1 using Odin. Everything seemed to work fine with this, but then I decided to go one step further and load a over clocking kernel via Odin to increase my Processing speed. This process went fine through Odin and then after the auto reboot it all fell apart... the tablet will now only periodically display the first and second samsung logos and then just go blank or will display the battery icon with power off and plugged into the PC. Either way I have been unable to access the Boot screen or the Download screen...
IS THERE A FIX TO THIS? or am I just finished?
I have tried the "One Click Unbrick" program with no results and Odin intermittently recognizes the device is connected to the PC as the Tablet cycles through what appears to be an 1 second long boot up attempt.
Looking for someones brilliant idea haha...
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
Wrong section, but here goes. I'm no expert but Samsung devices are notoriously hard to eff up beyond fixing.
Can you get back into your recovery? I would do that, do all your normal wipes and reinstall a rom with its stock kernel.
If that doesn't work well then, I'd say Odin back to stock. If it's just a soft brick fixing it shouldn't be a problem.
Of course someone else who knows what they are doing could chime in here lol.

I would love to do exactly what your suggesting but I am so far unable to access the download mode using the pwr and vol keys as normal... also where can I get a stock kernel as I was looking for one for hours yesterday with no luck? Do you have any suggestions on how to re-access the download mode in my current situation. Thank you for you suggestions thus far!
If you have a complete TWRP backup from before you flashed the OC kernel, just reboot into recovery and restore boot. That'll replace the HC kernel with what you were running before. That'll save you the effort of going through the entire process again to get back to JB.

Thank you for your response, so far Odin only picks up the device for a second before it disappears again and keeps repeating the cycle over and over agian. It is as if the Tablet keeps attempting a reboot cycle but fails to initialize the booting process? I don't know if I am making any sense to all of you that are much smarter than I at the stuff.
I am trying to time the start of Odin to the point that when it connects to the device that it is also recognizing the device at the same time... Kinda poking in the dark here as I am out of solutions...
The tablet attempts a reboot every 45 SECS and it recognized for only 3 SECS... Thoughts??
You need to get it to stop rebooting and into download or recovery mode. Try every button combo possible. If you hold power down for ten seconds it should shut off

I have tried every key combination possible with no results the only thing the tablet does is do a quick single vibrate just like it does when you power it on and it boots up just without the actual booting process... and when the tablet is plugged into the PC it displays the battery symbol with the star bright icon over it like its thinking about charging but to my knowledge does nothing beyond that as far as charging is concerned. But it does do the single vibrate once every 45 secs as if it was booting up and is recognized on the PC through Odin for only 3 secs... not sure where to go from here now??
Hold the volume buttons down don't just press them. Also try button combos but instead of hitting power plug your charger in and out to get it to reboot.
