Nexus 7 without pre order

Hi guys iam wondering if anyone from the uk can help me out. I plan to get a necus 7 on friday the 20th july ftom currys. Thing is j dont have the money right now to pre order. And wont have it till the 20th. Does anyone know if i will be able to just walk in and pick one up off the shelf, without pre order? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Ive tried the currys website but all i can do is pre order there. I need to know if they will sell them in-store so i can just walk in amd pay for one.

The proper answer is... nobody knows only Google. If pre orders are arriving on the nineteenth then it could be available on the 20th.
Car phone warehouse are stating the 27th.
Also my main point was to keep your eye on Google or the massive pre order thread (I know you want physical) too

i think you should ask someone who well order for him self to order another one for you

I am not 100% on their over order. But from their retail plan there maybe some in store but not many until the week after.
CPW are expecting it in shop floor around the 27th in bigger 'wireless' stores

Maybe you shouldn't order stuff you don't want then. If the product is not defective you are not owed anything.
It's not Google's fault you gifted it to the delivery driver. I'm sure he is enjoying his new phone.

If you purchased something for $349 and then find a local dealer selling it for $299, you will keep the $349 one when you have the right to return it? If they policy says I can return it then yes I can return it. That's my right. I don't think any one here never returned anything they purchased. Like a company doesn't mean the mistake they made is correct.

What do you mean I gifted it to the delivery driver? The phone got back in Google's hand the second day I rejected it.

Sounds to me like you tried to play games with Google and they ended up winning.

The moral problem is that when you ordered they had to have some dude grab it and ship it, then they had to pay return shipping and restock it for free. Usually if you buy let's say a phone from T-Mobile and return it within a certain period they charge you a restocking fee, and so do most electronics stores. Since you oredered it and rejected the package you probably confused the whole system. Google is a big ass company, they have to ensure all the records are 100% and deal with people like you who find it for $50 cheaper then reject it.
As to the reality, they should refund you, but realize that things like that sometimes take a little time.
Also, as to your question. If I bought a phone fro $350 I wouldn't then look for it locally for $300, I would put my attention on other things, having already purchased the device. I don't know if the headache of rejecting the device, then bugging for a refund, and also purchasing locally is even worth the $50 savings anyways.
For everyone on this forum to take your advice and "never purchase from Google" based on your experience, which was a shady consumer practice anyways, would be asinine.

Not to mention, restocking fee on phones and such us frequently $50. So, even if they refund the $, it might be the exact amount you paid locally.

AT&T Store Release?

Anyone know when the Flex will be available in retail AT&T stores? I know preorders are shipping February 4th, so is retail availability that same day?

No. I thought the flex was really interesting, but it feels like a gimmick to me. Actually I think the flex is great, but I reckon they should make a flat flex device that can bend a bit.
I did however LOVE the screen size so I'm probably going to get the G Pro 2 (I had the g2 and loved it, especially the software, but I like big screens).

I actually like the way it is now. It makes it more comfortable in your back pocket and less likely to break at the same time. It would benefit from a built in stylus however.

The 2 corporate stores by me have display models in but no stock. They are saying Feb 7 maybe. I kind of fell in love with the flex though.
I ran a carrier iq check on the floor model and it's in full effect. Luckily like the G2 it's easy to root and shut down.

I wanna jump back on the G flex now that the at&t version is available. I have a note 3 for whoever wants to trade their AT&T G flex

I just got back from my local ATT store and they didn't have any display models out but I did get to check out the one that the employees get to familiarize themselves with. The manager said that they would not have a display model out on the floor till Thursday night or Friday.
I ended up ordering one and it should be here this weekend or Monday at the latest.

T-Mobile didn't have a demo phone yesterday and said come back on the 5th so I stopped in AT&T today and they had one. I played with the phone for a bit. I kind of wish I never got the G2 so the decision would be easy. lol

Any word on AT&T Pre-orders in the US? They are really vague about the info.

So is Verizon and no word from any US carriers other than T-Mo regarding 32GB versions. From what I was told, AT&T on the 11th, Verizon would likely be the following Thursday which is the 16th since Verizon likes Thursday releases for whatever reason.

The phone is supposed to hit stores the 11th. So I'm confident ours will ship the 9th with fed ex 2 day shipping. In reality Att probably has had the s5 in their warehouses for weeks now.

In the past, AT&T has gotten orders out pretty quick. Them getting the S5 out a day or two early doesn't surprise me. They're good like that.

I don't think the case is even worth 37.50 to be honest. I think 20 bucks would be a fair price for it . It offers very little real protection and makes one handed use pretty much not possible. Its rather annoying. I only put it in when I leave the house
