driver install error - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
I have an Win7 x64 notebook
I installed htc sysnc manger before i connected my htc one for the first time, after install when i connect the phone, i had a load of drivers being installed.
But once it got to "HTC MPC device" i got a driver error, though no errors show up in device manger, so cannot even do a manual search for the driver.
The error message shows every time i plug my one into my notebook, though the htc one works great with my notebook and sync manger.
Thanks for any help
John

It seems as the conflict of the old and new driver. If everything works well, don't care.
If something wrong, just uninstall all HTC drivers , and install again new one.

activesync not detecting mini xda (wizard)

I have searched the forums and cannot find a soultion to my problem
I have an O2 XDA II with works well. This was on ActiveSync 3.7. It now also works well on ActiveSync 4.0
However my new mini XDA (Wizard) is not detected by active sync 4.0. It comes up with generic rndis driver not found.
The software from O2 hangs in the install process and although 4.0 is installed i think that i'm missing a driver somewhere???
I think someone suggested deleting all possible drivers in the driver manager and re-install ActiveSync from the cd to see if ti picks up the driver. but I'm unwilling to do this without knowing which driver it could be?
note: firewall is off
does anyone know how to fix this? is there a patch or how do i get the driver to be picked up off of the CD.
HELP PLEASE?
Just for starters 4.0 has all sorts of problems so you should download 4.1 from the microsoft site http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/activesync41.mspx and install that first. Thats not to say 4.1 isn't a crock as well but it's less of a crock.....

RNDIS BLUE ANGEL driver?

bit of a problem here... my pc crashed and i'm forced to use a new one... after connecting my BA using the cradle, my pc recognized the new hardware but was not able to install the driver for RNDIS BA... tried using the companion cd but the driver is not included there... already googled for it on windows.com and any other site i can think of but still cant locate it. d/led from ms.com the RNDIS USB kit 2005 but have no idea how to use it, the driver is not also in there. btw, the pc i'm using is not yet on SP2 so AS 3.2 is installed here.
so i used a laptop, upgraded to [email protected] and was able to install AS 4.2. connected my BA there and still cannot install the RNDIS for BA on laptop also... how come? do i have to downgrade first to 2003 so that it can be installed then upgrade back to wm5? hope someone can help me, or at least point me in the correct direction. thanks
The RNDIS driver actually is in the BA itself. Connect ur device with PC. Wait 4 a pop-up from bottom right " Your new hardware installed and ready to use". Then it will connect to ur active sync... You Hav to wait for few sec(depends on your pc performance) for it to install the driver.
If it won't work try uninstall the old driver then reconect

actually the pop up window will say there is a problem with your hardware and it is not installed and your new hardware will not work properly... not sure why, i didn't change anything in my BA...
I guess you installed ActiveSync 4.x.
Try this: open the devicemanager and selected the device not installed. right click and select update driver, now guide windows to look in C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\drivers and it should detect the driver.

thanks meehaa, i downloaded that file but when i try to redirect the wizard to where the .sys file is, it won't recognize the file...
also tried to direct the wizard on all folders inside c:\windows hoping to get lucky but still no dice...
is it the device itself that has the problem? i can easily downgrade to 2003se and upgrade but since i'm not sure it will work, i'll just screw myself
I had the same problem
after rcoganizing it doesnt istall the driver
so install RNDIS
and after that you need to install this one too
try it

Error 260 With Vista

Hello I am new here and a noob in the scene. I was trying to upgrade my Trinity D810 with my Vista Ultimate 32Bit. And I keep on getting the same error after going into the 3 Color screen (on my D810). Is there any solution?
And If possible can it not involved installing XP juz to get it to work? Cause I lost my copy of XP.
Goto www.trinityguides.info and it explains how to get it working in Vista, you need to install different drivers and it will work, I am using Vista and have the Dopod ROM on it
Thanks.
But I have been trying to follow the guide there.
But I can't seem to undate the drivers of XP on to my Mobile.
My connection from my PC to my Mobile is only through USB, and if I follow the guide, I cannot update the drivers as it ask me to not authorize USB connections.
I'm at a lost of what to do now.
I think you need to read it again, You should be changing the drivers in Vista for the HTC drivers from the USBAS folder, Then after you turn off usb connections in WMDC it uses the USBAS driver to connect. I found that I had to update the drivers every time I wanted to change a ROM.

Flashing ROM...

I have no idea what has happened to my PC since the last time I flashed, but now the RomUpdateUtility.exe is returning error 260 even when I'm on the tri-color screen. I've left it plugged in for a bit, tried replugging it, etc... no luck.
I did a bunch of Google searched before deciding on opening a thread because nothing was helping.
Running Win 7 x64. In my device manager I have an 'Other Device' labeled Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM...
Well... as soon as I make a post I get it working by deleting the driver and doing a re-installing the driver by telling it to search windows update for one.

Cannot Flash Custom Rom Error 266

As of now, my SPL is downgraded to 1.18, with RSPL and HSPL already installed. I downloaded Windows Mobile Device center, I'm running Windows 7 x86...
I always get the "not connected" message with the device center no matter what, even though I see Windows Mobile drivers in device panel. I've downloaded Deepshining Rom, double clicked on the ROM updater and first thing is it does not show my current image on the phone, when I keep clicking next, I get to the installation screen, with a 0% and then I get the Error 266 message.
I've restarted numerous times, not sure what is going on.

You need to run in XP both Zune and ActiveSync for the connection to take place.
