LTE is live in Atlanta area today! Works great in Sandy Springs, Buckhead as well as Atlanta downtown, that is where I tested so far! I'm literally getting it all over, not a single drop!

Nothing here in Duluth but I get pretty bad service in my house anyways. Hopefully it extends into Johns Creek. I guess I'll know tomorrow.
Please forgive my ignorance but what other changes have you made? I have followed the guide to no avail. I have created a new apn with the fast.t-mobile.com settings, changed my build.prop and the apns-config file. The only thing I haven't done is a factory reset however I read that that is not necessary. Is that true? In your apn settings what are the *s in the password and server? I am stock rooted 4.2.2 with the .33 radio. Thanks in advance

open dialer and dial *#*#INFO#*#* it will open menu tap phone info and change it to LTE/GSM auto.
Then when it connects to LTE the 4G icon will be displayed instead of H.
This will need to be done at every reboot unless you edit the build.prop.

I recently got my vivid and when I got it the lte wasn't working so I found what I needed to change the apn and I copied everything verbatim and now my mms isn't working. I made sure everything was correct and even deleted the apn and redid it but still my pictures get stuck in a continuous sending loop. Any help would be appreciated. Here are screenshots of my settings, maybe I missed something?

Just do this...
1) go to your local att store
2) ask for an LTE compatible sim (if you have one skip to 3)
3) ask them to enable LTE on your phone...no you won't be charged extra, no your plan won't be changed...everything will be the same except you now have LTE (this can also be done over the phone)
4) use the stock (PTA) apns
5) enjoy LTE and mms
Again...nothing above will cost you money (well...I guess there's gas) you will keep your plan...no hidden fees or extra charges or higher cost for phone bill...EVERYTHING THAT RELATES TO MONEY WILL STAY THE SAME

I have all that done already. Just left the att and they couldn't figure it out

So you don't have lte then...your using hspa+ (which shows as 4g I believe) Its impossible to set up lte by your self...because att has to enable it for your number...you can set up mobile internet on your own but you can't set up lte on your own (unless you hack into att systems and change it your self )
Just call att and tell them to enable lte for you...then use stock apns and enjoy download speeds of over 20mb/s (assuming you have late where you live)

I have LTE and I got everything working. When I got the phone the apn was programmed only to run on the hspa+ to save battery life and so I just went and changed the apn and enabled the LTE again (i do have it where I live I get between 25mb/s to 38mb/s depending on time of day) but when I changed the apn my mms stopped working so I just decided to delete all the apn's on the phone and start over and now everything is working as it should. That also seemed to fix the random restarts cause I haven't had a single restart since I've done that though may just be coincidence

Thanks for the tip. I was having the same issues with MMS not sending. So I deleted all the other APNs and just set up the one for att LTE and it worked great! Thanks again!!! That was bugging the hell out of me.
This is to fix Mms message on metropcs flashed sprint galaxy s 4 your phone most already be flashed to metropcs with working internet, Flash the zip in recovery and reboot, mms messages should work from first boot. This will last thru a factory reset.
Edit: I was ask to add some details as to wat the zips doing and wat I do. I edit the mms-config.xml in the stock Mms.apk/SecMms.apk to settings from verizon which work for metropcs, I also use an apns-conf.xml that I edited for metropcs. the zip will mount data and mount system, it will delete Mms.apk/SecMms.apk and Mms.odex/SecMms.odex, it will delete dalvik-cache for Mms.apk/SecMms.apk, it will delete the telephony.db file in /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/ which countains apns. it will replace Mms.apk/SecMms.apk with the one I edited for metropcs it also replaces the apns-conf.xml in /system/etc/ which countains the default apns for the one I edited for metropcs (on first boot the phone will create a new telephony.db with the default apns countained in this apns-conf.xml, that is why this fix lasts thru a datawipe/factory reset). For more details take a look at the updater-script.
for the 4.3 script, flash the zip - reboot to system. Then open dialer and dial ##3282# hit edit enter spc then go to more then lte apn settings and click the circle on the right of the global roaming apn to activate it then hit home and all should be good
if you have issue where messaging app has default android icon use root explorer go to /system/app long press on SecMms.apk select move hit back hit back again go to /sdcard and paste SecMms.apk on sdcard, it should now show the up on sdcard with normal icon long press on SecMms.apk select move hit back go to /system/app and paste SecMms.apk back in /system/app and reboot phone should now show normal messaging icon
I am not responseable for anything that happens
Thanks to uncorrupted for the build.prop editor

Hang on...I must clarify. As much as I love to profit off of Metro flashes, we need to get the facts straight.
Flashed phones to Metro will not work nationwide. Boost will. Metro has better talk & text in their coverage area, but their data can either be equal to or slightly slower then Boost (depends what time of the day you're on the network). We also JUST got 3g here in the Tampa Bay area, and we're a huge market, go figure.

ive had very good luck though if i may say so myself. i have traveled to florida new york san francisco and alabama and gotten very good coverage on my flashed s3 from verizon and im suing the 3033 prl in atlanta. its faster than i could have hoped for. i have heard though before that flashed phones do not work well outside of the state theyre flashed in but aside form that metro itself has bigger coverage than boost and sprint. and now they are merging with t-mobile although im still not sure how thats working out because theyre rolling out city by city certain thing such as hartford dallas baltimore and i think boston.

interesting. almost a year ago we had 3g coverage over here in saint pete, i had to use a special prl on my step brothers admire 3g to get it to load up right though.
now a days its all lte anyways so no one uses 3g
Then you would have been the first. I've been flashing in this area for over 2 years at least, and none of my fellow flashers in the area got 3g besides 1 tower near University Mall.

Download the file and flash it after you flash your ROM and gapps. Once it boots up go into to your APN settings. By hitting settings>more>mobile networks>access point names.
Hit the little menu button and select default.
Select the Straight Talk APN that pops up and reboot.
I've tested and this works great. APNs are not a hard thing to enter but just a pain in the butt and you may not always have your APN settings.
So if you have Straight Talk you can use this for your APN this is not for any other cell phone provider.

i wish i had this two days ago lol. i've entered my apn about 12 times already. to anyone not sure, this is the exact APN on straight talk's site
http://straighttalkbyop.com/program.php#
Name straight talk
APN tfdata
Port 80
MMSC http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy mms3.tracfone.com
MMS Port 80
and this is in the zip
<apn mnc="410" mcc="310" mmsport="80" mmsproxy="mms3.tracfone.com" mmsc="http://mms-tf.net" port="80" apn="tfdata" carrier="Straight Talk"/>
as you can see they are identical :good:
I just signed up for StraightTalk. And apparently, it seems you use different APNs depending on which SIM you installed. There's one for AT&T, one for T-Mobile, and a third one (?).
Here's a site that gives the info for the AT&T and T-Mo ones.

I have been using it in the Cleveland area .. I honestly don't see any change at all. If it was try VoLTE .. while on a call, wouldn't the data connection stay as 4G/LTE ? Because mine doesn't .. switches just like it did before to 4G only, then back to 4G/LTE within seconds of ending the call.
Yes, It should stay LTE while on a call.
I completely lose all data when I use that APN. Does not work in any way at all for me.

Just tried, I get data but still goes int 4g when in a call and I'm in the DFW area so I'm in AT&T's home
It's just odd for me that it is totally nonfunctional in this market area. I even tried on my gf's note 3 since she has the at&t version and still a no go. I have the tmobile version so I thought maybe it was a modem or software issue.

Well... If what I am reading is correct, only the Asus Padphone will be compatible at first. I do not believe any current American device will be functional with it.
I have also read that the international LTE Note 3 and S4 are supposed to work with it as they started it in Asia first.
As for America, it looks like we don't have support or the hardware for it, yet.

I have also read that they are privately testing it themselves and have not really released it in any market.
If that were the case, a small update would have to happen to get the APN to our phones just to be on the safe side. I can bet that someone from XDA would have grabbed that update.

So lately, for awhile now I've been having major issues with my 4G LTE. My speeds on LTE when I check on speedtest would go as far as 1.00 MBps (Not kidding) and im forced to disable 4LTE and leave it to 3G or HSPA+. When I enable H I get speeds up to 10.00 mbps. Now I've done many things to try to fix it, researched and tried flashing the only radios I can find which are on here labeled "[Ref] [Radio] Nexus 6 modem collection" I currently have LMY47M Firmware and radio flashed and still H seems to work better. I'm on stock 5.1 update. I even tried speaking to T-Mobile to have my signal reset and they even got as far to transferring me to a specialist and even had the specialist send a note to the engineers to see if its the towers in my area or something. And that if it was the case that on Saturday I should see my LTE back up and working. Saturday passed and unfortunately still going through this. It's crazy because my brother ,mother and sister in-law have T-Mobile and their 4GLTE are working beautifully. So I was hoping if I can have any helping hands to help me fix this or find a solution, a radio or something for me. Please, I'm dying lol..
Any links, tutorials, personal apn settings, tricks or editing build.prop info will be SUPER MUCH appreciated.
Thanks again.

So I was hoping if I can have any helping hands to help me fix this or find a solution, a radio or something for me. Please, I'm dying lol..
Any links, tutorials, personal apn settings, tricks or editing build.prop info will be SUPER MUCH appreciated.
Thanks again.

Just a thought, have you tried turning off the enhanced calling feature?

Thank you for the response. But yes, I currently have the enhanced calling feature off. And speeds are still terrible. I've attached my speed test.

That is indeed a horrible speed test result. Wait a bit and see if the member I mentioned before has some help for you. I'm on Sprint, so my knowledge of T-Mobile is limited.

Curious, what were your brother, sister in-law, etc.. speed test scores? Home for me is in a fringe LTE area and depending on where I am in my house, hspa is almost always faster than LTE. Example: at home hspa+ is 12 down 2-3 up. LTE is 2-3 down 0.5-1 up. Drive half mile down street and LTE is 70 down 15 up....
One thing of note my wife has a new S6 and her radios stay on LTE 24/7 at our house where mine switches constantly from hspa to LTE. Her speed tests at home are 15-20 down 5 up.
Are you in a "fringe" LTE coverage area?

They would get around 27 to mid 30's down both my brother and sister in-law , my mom gets around 10-15 down. my mom has the note 3, my brother new S6 and sister in-law the iPhone 6.
And to be honest I'm not sure what you mean by "fringe"
Any and every where I go I'm forced to use HSPA lol LTE isn't working right for my phone.

Not sure to be quite honest. But I know just now I tried flashing Baseband_D4.0-9625-02.95.zip that I found on a random thread and still no good service for LTE.
The radio I had flashed or had on all this time now is labeled "LMY47M-Firmware-Radio.zip"
Where do I check the radio info ?

it would be in the about phone. but you have the 95r radio, same aa me. can you try reflashing the radio then checking lte?
I just came from verizon ..it seems I never worried before. If I had even a smidge of lte the speeds were still pretty solid..T-Mobile..lte is a crap shoot.

Just reflashed it and still same results. I get around 6.00-7.00 Mbps down on hspa+ and 0.28 down on LTE with enhanced LTE clicked on and off.

The thing is, I don't think its T-Mobile. Speeds were great for me before and its fantastic on my families phones. But its my phone right now that's not getting the speeds. But I've heard Verizon has quite great speeds as well.

At first it showed same bad speeds With 4G LTE enabled and enhanced 4GLTE enabled..then it went up high as showed after I waited a bit. About same speeds as HSPA+ is giving me now. Big difference for a moment but not so different from my HSPA+ speeds. But on the next screenshots you'll see it go back down again..

It did however , weirdly...boost up my HSPA+ down speeds to 9-10-11 Mbps in my current area where I was hitting 5-6-8 Mbps before. But up stays at 0 weirdly..
