one this days i was listening music on my phone, but i had to restart it.
While the phone was off, i hear a kind of white noise. i never tried to "hear" the phone off, but it's a weird situation...
When the phone comes on the noise is gone.....
Anyone had tried or experienced this before???

I am having quite an interesting problem with my Kaiser. Yesterday, after doing a hard reset on Dutty's new WM6.1 ROM, my external speaker seemed to have stopped working.
I can make calls, and hear the other party through the phone speaker, but I cannot hear my phone ring, mp3s, screen taps, or the speakphone. Basically, any sound that is supposed to come out of my external speaker does not work. Sometimes I hear crackling, and some faint distorted sound, but this last for 5 seconds, and then all sound stops. If I'm on a phone call, everything is ok and I can speak and hear whoever I am talking to, but the second I turn the speakerphone on, sound will stop or crackle then stop.
I did a hard reset, and got nothing. Reflashed the ROM, same problem. Flashed to a different radio, same problem. Then I flashed back to the original HTC ROM and radio, and still have the same problem.
Obviously, I am thinking its a hardware problem. Their weird thing is that I haven't dropped my phone or done anything different to it. It spent the entire day in my pocket. Since I'm in Canada and cannot purchase the phone here, I bought it from a third party through eBay and therefore do not have warranty. I will probably take it to a local phone repair shop tonight, but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, or if anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix it.

Hello, greetingz to all. I recently purchased used Xperia, and it worked well untill few days ago, when i start to have problems with microphone (in phone). The sound reception is very poor and people i talk to can barely hear me or not hearing me at all. I tried all and nothing works, except when i connect headset in vibration-only mode. Then the reception of the sound from the headset microphone perfect. But not when the sounds on the phone are on, or in any other case. I also tried does it record sound on video or audio for MMS - same thing, just crackling noise.
I would appreciate if anybody could help with this. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I did hard reset, i did reinstall software from SE Update (even i had most recent one), nothing happened.

But i can use the headset when the sound is on.
Im afraid i lose my phone for a while, again. I had software problems before.
I think i will burn a good rom when it's back.
in settings->system->Microphone AGC
turned on ?
AGC == automatic gain control which mean the mic adjust it's sensitivity according to the volume of the surroundings

Sorry if this has been posted before and I am a total noob! (i did do a search but it did not come up with anything)
I have a rooted HTC One with Vodafone Uk
Love the phone the only issue I have is that when the phone is on silent occasionally I get a popping noise not overly loud but it is annoying
Is this a known problem and is there a workaround to get it fixed? I tried turning Beats sound off and that has not worked.
The problem doesn't happen if I am playing music through the speakers through Spotify.
Any answers would be fantastic
When i run big games or downloading big files i can hear some kind of buzzing in my phone speaker, not a big problem but it gets kinda irritating after some time. what can i do?

Since you asked what can be done in the meantime untill a real fix; you can go into sounds and notifications->other sounds and turn off screen locking and touch sounds.
It seems to work for me. I normally have those off, so I thought I was lucky to not have this problem (I turned those off immediately after tuning on my phone for the first time), but after unlocking the bootloader I was back to stock and heard the speaker problems. It happened while the phone was plugged into the computer and I was transfering in files. Everytime I unlocked the screen it would crackle (more than just the locksound). I went to my sounds, turned those sounds on and off to hear if there was a change and off removed the problem. Could have been a coincidence too.

Hey guys,
I woke up this morning and noticed some weird sounds coming from my phone when i wanted to play some music. There is only coming sound from the top speaker that normally is used when calling someone. No sound at all from the two speakers at the bottem. Second weird thing is when i plug my earbuds in it doesnt do anything.. Just same bad sound coming from the top. The phone has no problems with charging or whats so ever.
Does anybody know how to fix this? Thank you in advance.
