Just wanted to know what you guys think about the phone. I have my bionic but man the RAZR MAXX is pretty awesome to me for the battery life. Im thinking of getting that over the nexus. What do you guys think?

I do like it but its not enough of an upgrade. I'll wait until Motorola puts out something with a slightly larger HD screen, no buttons and ICS.

I would like to own the razr maxx. I think it has Li-Po battery right? Like the IPhones
Plus an over 3000 mAh battery.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I like it, but not enough to get it over the Galaxy Nexus. A locked bootloader is a locked bootloader and blur sucks. It also does not even have ICS, so don't hold your breath.
I just unloaded my nexus and am back to the bionic...with a rooted 901 it's not a bad phone. But that maxx would be killer for someone who doesn't like to worry about finding a charger. But as stated it really is more of a side step I think.
im sure it will get ics though. when it gets that ill compare it to the nexus
A better battery is always a plus, but I don't have many issues with my battery on the Bionic due to the fact that I charge it throughout the day (at my PC, in the car, before I sleep) and I use JuiceDefender.
I'm not sure how much better battery the MAXX has over the Bionic, but that definitely doesn't feel like much of an upgrade to me, either.
For 12 bucks I can buy a 3rd battery for my Bionic. Other then the lack of updates and rims for my bionic I love it. Oh yeah I can replace my battery the main reason I don't want an i phone from the get go. The bionic is still a beast.
the only good thing about the Maxx (aside from battery) is that itll make the original Droid Razr's price go down. I went to verizon and played with the galaxy nexus. While I love that its a Nexus device, the performance was identical to my rom'ed bionic so I might consider grabbing the Razr if the price is right
Not another one of these posts. Didn't we all go through this when the Razr was about to come out? Is this going to be a regular thing every time a new phone is announced?

Who's still here? I know we have had a mass exodus from this device, but I'm curious how many stragglers we have left? If you're still here, are you leaving soon?
I have around 6 months left but I don't know if I will change at that time. I wish we could get ics on here. It would make things more tolerable.

I'm sitting on the fence. I would settle for the phone being stable, regardless of what OS it runs on (which is what I'm working on). I've got my TF300 for Android play.
I'm considering whether it's worth trying to go through the hassle of packaging something, or just giving this thing the boot and buying a phone outright.
I won't be renewing my contract with Verizon EVER as I never want to lose my unlimited plan.
I have two. Might go to one soon......
Still have mine. My contract is up on Jan. 26th. which is 5 months early. I am guessing they are trying to get me off unlimited data early. I got news for them... Here at work we are part of Microsoft's Customer Assurance program. We test out software and devices for them in a live enterprise environment and report back any issues. Kind of like a closed beta tester. They give us phones for various carriers. We got iPhones, android, and windows phones to test their software on. We put in for WP8 if we get confirmation then we will get Lumia 822. I will just issue myself one of those to use till I tire of it. That way I can keep my unlimited data. Fran schammo can kiss my ass that greedy corporate douche.
That last post made me laugh. Not sure a "thanks" is appropriate, but it's as close as we have to a "rep" on this forum. Lol
But yeah, I've still got my Revo. I bought a Droid 4 on Ebay so as to not lose my unlimited data. I then discovered that the Revo was still usable for everything but cellular service, so I'm still using it a bit.
It's an easy way of getting Netflix in the living room for one thing.
I'm still here too. Been trying to work on a rom but between working 6 days a week, school, getting married 2 months ago, and now a pregnant wife things have been a little crazy...
I am stuck with this phone until October. Have gotten it to run fairly stable though, VOD about once a month and a couple screen freezes a week. If I can ever finish what I'm doing I will get it posted up here.

Well, I'm here. I renewed last Christmas so I'm here for a while. Bout to drop a theme in a day or two (BrokenIC) and hopefully after that one I'll have MiBrokenIC. Also working on a kernel. Just dealing with it crapping out on me when building the Wi-Fi drivers.
So, let's all enjoy this ride. Shall we?

I'm on my 2nd Revo. Now know all the tricks (RAM is precious!). Have *all* the accessories (two car docks, home dock, regular and extended spare batteries and back, wireless charging pad, and back).
I'm having trouble finding another phone I want, once I accepted the limitations:
a. must limit widgets/running apps/total apps/certain apps, in order to keep free RAM at about 80-150MB.
b. ignore aesthetics (looks, bulk, screen). This is easy for me, and I actually like the Revo.
1. RAZR Maxx HD:
- both mostly at 4.3" screen (except RAZR Maxx HD is at 4.7" when viewing videos).
- battery life similar with extended battery (but Revo can swap batteries).
- Revo has wireless charging and dedicated car and home docks, and micro SD slot.
- RAZR Maxx HD has apt-X bluetooth codec, for great music fidelity with matching apt-X headphones.
- priced at ~ $500 used.
2. Galaxy S III:
- GS III has bigger screen at price of bigger phone.
- GS III feels less robust/more prone to screen cracks due to torquing.
- GS III has apt-X codec.
- priced at ~ $500 used.
3. LG Spectrum 2:
- see GS III above, but Spectrum 2 has no apt-X, and less accessories (no LG extended battery, even).
- comes with wireless charging back.
- priced at ~$350 used.
4. RAZR M:
- M has nice, smaller form factor, but with on-screen buttons, has only 4.0" screen most of the time.
- limited storage with no micro SD slot, limited internal storage.
- non-replaceable battery.
- has apt-X codec.
- priced at ~ $350 used.
I don't want to spend ~$350 to $500 for the privilege of giving up the capabilities of wireless charging, extended battery, home dock with separate battery charger, and car dock that starts up Revo's Car Home app when Revo is inserted.

Mainly I'm trying to keep it as stock as possible. Just adding a few new governors. But the main thing is to keep voltages at stock levels. I think that might be the cause of the vod. And I'm adding swap.

Since the world didn't end today, I have a couple months left, three max (I forget). Just in time for the GS4 to drop. My priority is keeping the unlimited plan, even though I don't use that much data.

i don't think this is possible with this phone unless the case connects to the usb plug. there is no external charging port.

Incipio is supposed to be coming out with The offGRID Thin Battery Case for the Moto X. I'm assuming it's still being worked on because it's the only case left in their series i believe that is not on the market yet. Sorry, i can't post links yet, but the majority of link is below

That's pretty much how all battery cases work. The cases themselves have a usb port you use to charge the case and phone at the same time.

No problem. Anytime...The Moto X is a great phone and I'm glad to see that the 3rd party manufacturers are getting on board with Motorola to really get these accessories out to the many owners of this phone.
Depending on your usage you may not need it. I had a Nexus as well, and used to charge it 3+ times a day. With the X so far I can make it though a full day without issue.

With my phone completely stock and having Wi-F ( never on Wi-Fi though)i, BT, auto brightness etc enabled all the time, I'm getting 4hrs screen time, 1 hour talk with 16hrs off the charger and still ending the day with 20%+ battery life. If I root, debloat and greenify, I'm certain I could get 5+hrs screen 2hrs talk and have more left in that same period... But I'm sticking stock for the time being as it's almost perfect the way it is.
With my sgs3 I'd have to fully charged it sometime early afternoon to use it this much.

Yes, It will work. However it will most likely drain the battery in about 5 hours, you may consider the EB40 battery mod.

Hi there, I was disassembling my watch to be curious. I found the battery area and I noticed online there are micro batteries around the web. Do you guys think there is a way to get one of those batteries and fit it into the watch and use the ribbons (the wires) that were on the old battery and make them work with the new battery? I'm still trying to look for a good battery only if it is confirmed that one can do this. Thanks if you can help me out!

I'm thinking you've gone deeper into your gear than a lot of us...
Find a battery that fits, has similar voltage output, and let us know how it goes! :fingers-crossed:
for the size of 20mm x 30 mm you will be very lucky to find anything over 315mA
i had a quick search and i found 310mA etc
unless you can modify the case some how i dont think you will find anything

I have successfully replaced the battery before, but be cautious if you do get a gear, only tested on original gear. You have to switch the capacitors, or the battery will just drain, and it needs the same voltage. The LG G Watch I heard was a great device, and with the oneplus, the G watch has full compatibility. I used the gear once with a Droid ultra, I had problems with a few things, and no galaxy store. Good thing I'm back to my Note 3 (for now ☺).
