i did read the dev guidlines. im sorry this thread isnt set up the proper way. once i make sure this port actually works i will post it the proper way...right now this is all a crapshoot for me. :lol
I Used to have a Galaxy Nexus and loved the ROM JBSourcery but I want the ROM on my Nexus 4 but have never had any luck with devs to port it. So I followed the directions on how to port a ROM over to a new device. It was rather straightforward and easy....maybe a little too easy. Anyways. I have to have my phone up and running for the good part of the week so Im unable to test this. If anyone out there is willing to test it and give me an update on whats working and whats broken on it I would appriciate it.
I take no responsibilies on your device bricking. I take no credit for the contents of the ROM. I am simply trying to port it over to a new device
****download link removed until i can find a proper GSM version of JBsourcery to port.
Thanks to all those that tested for me!
this is a link to the ROM for the galaxy Nexus so you can see the features. I am attempting to keep everything the same..just a straight port..no extra bells and whistles.

When you compile/port something for the very first time, you flash it first and if it boots up, you post the download link, OP.
Posting untested Rom's download link is beyond the pale.

In my experience, it generally stands as a rule of thumb to port from gsm to gsm, and cdma to cdma. portinga cdma rom to flash onto a gsm device can lead to issues....or so the experience I've had has proven

sorry to hear its not booting for anyone. Ill look back into it when i can..maybe i missed something on the port. But in response to the quote i honestly thought i had the GSM version bookmarked and was using it for the port. I will remove the download link for the time being until i am able to find the gsm version again and try to port. anyone else out there interested in this port is more then welcome to post in this thread with advice for me. this is my first "dev" moment for ROM porting.

just finished working on the port with a proper GSM. I got to stay up a little later tonight because I start a new position tomorrow at the early job. its uploading now. i havent tested it yet since im about to crash out. i will post the link either before i head into the first job...or while im at home getting ready for the second job. remember...right now it is untested so i guarantee nothing. i may be able to test it this weekend but i just wanted to give those out there that are holding their breathe for this and chance...if this one still results in issues then im going to have to find a new "how to port" thread.

Hardware is almost exactly the same
Also. Kernel has almost nothing to do with cellular connections, it specifies how the software should interact with the hardware and nothing else
The GPE port and 4.2.2 sense 5 ports are both using kernels made for the international version

So we have to wait for HTC to release 4.2 CDMA radios, or CDMA 4.3 radios, for those roms to work? Like we have the google edition port, but data doesn't work. What do we need to get that fixed?

As always, grains of salt should be taken with info from these kinds of guys, but my Samsung field rep stated they plan on having it out by black Friday at the latest. Which would make sense, I assume we'll be doing a GS4 BOGO just like we did for the S3 last year, and Samsung will want to push the Gear at that time.

I'll be getting one as well. If its on Sprint, even better...especially since it will be tri-band and compatible with Spark.
It already passed through the FCC supporting all of Sprint's cdma and lte bands among others, this was back in August before the info got pulled. So even though it hasn't been officially announced for sprint I don't see why it wouldn't come to sprint when it supports all of sprints frequencies.

only thing im hesitant about is the weak IR blaster compared to the ONE and the lack of an awesome TV app!
if it has tri-band Sprint LTE, I'm dumping my One.
I'm almost certainly going to stick with my One, as the spec bump isn't big enough to justify switching, and I'm really enjoying this phone. However, what really excites me is that there is at least a chance now that going forward, nexus devices will be on sprint. I can wait and see how this one plays out, then at the end of next year when the nexus 5 squared or 6 or whatever it is is announced, I will have a cheaper, easier way to upgrade early. Also, should something catastrophic happen to my one, I would have the option to just get a nexus as well.
In the past all nexus devices for Sprint were released a year later then it's gsm counterpart. If this happens again then its a definite no from me.
Its already passed thru FCC with triband(Spark) so i getting it....
Eh it's a nice phone but I would get bored with it. There would be no reason to flash a Rom.

I have some big news for Verizon Galaxy Note 3 owners heading into the weekend! Developer "HashCode" the guy responsible for custom recovery on most locked devices is currently working on SafeStrap for the Verizon variant of the Galaxy Note 3. Previously it was thought that it may be impossible to get a kexec style custom recovery working on this device. Even HashCode had his doubts. After a few weeks of back and forth testing between HashCode who had no Note 3 and developer BeansTown106 who had a Note 3, the guys decided that it would be better if HashCode had the device in hand. Beanstown wrapped up the Note 3 and shipped it to HashCode who has made quick work of getting SafeStrap to boot up on the device as you can see from the images above. There may still be a few kinks to work out before SafeStrap is released to the public, but we could see it as soon as some time this weekend! If you would like to donate towards the cost of the Note 3 to help pay back Beans for his Note 3 donation to Hashcode you can head to the link below. Otherwise keep your eyes tuned to this site for more info on when this is released!

Tested this LS 3.4 build and it boots fine, but has neither wifi nor cell service. Looks like it is a GSM build and no CDMA changes can be made in *#*#4636#*#*. Interestingly, when booting back to stock, the radio was set to GSM and I had to change it back to cdma.

So did you have gsm service available or did it just break cell service entirely? I'm already using my d3 with the gsm radio for at&t anyways so I don't have cdma service availability already so that wouldn't bother me if it still allowed u.s. gsm service. Or maybe I could just reflash the radio img I'm using now with that rom anyways.
