Liquid Smooth 3 4.4 beta for solana. Found - Motorola Droid 3

I stumbled across the liquid smooth beta 4.4.2 for the solana and didn't find it in XDA. Anyone trying to get it usable?
Biggest stopper is I can't get wifi to work.
Here is where I read about it first.

wow this rom does work awesome. Only if wifi worked it would be sick.

nice to finally try kitkat but wish the wifi worked, deal breaker. hope somebody decides to work on this and get it working.

Has anybody tried the 3/22 build to see if wifi is working yet? I'm not sure which build you guys are running because there are only 2, and only the 2/11 build is linked on the official download page, but there is a 3/22 build in the ftp folder.

No wifi does on 03/22 built.

Well, crap. I guess I'll have to keep an eye out for a newer build.

It just takes me to a folder for droid 4. I'm pretty sure flashing that would break the device lol I'm looking for the Solana build which has been pulled from the server...

First...liquid has apparently discontinued support for solana and pulled all builds.
That being said, here is a link to one of the last builds

Is wifi just freezing when it tries to turn on? If so, that is a known KK bug... I would suggest flashing the cm11 wifi fix zip (available all over the place).

Tested this LS 3.4 build and it boots fine, but has neither wifi nor cell service. Looks like it is a GSM build and no CDMA changes can be made in *#*#4636#*#*. Interestingly, when booting back to stock, the radio was set to GSM and I had to change it back to cdma.
The CM11 wifi fix does not work.

So did you have gsm service available or did it just break cell service entirely? I'm already using my d3 with the gsm radio for at&t anyways so I don't have cdma service availability already so that wouldn't bother me if it still allowed u.s. gsm service. Or maybe I could just reflash the radio img I'm using now with that rom anyways.

Atrix HD CM10 (RAZR M Port)

First off I'd like to thank dhacker29 for his amazing work on CM10 for the RAZR M and mattlgroff for his updater script and helping me get this off the ground.
This is not intended for daily use, but for testing purposes. So far, calling, data and WiFi works. Texting isn't working and flashing gapps will cause a repeated crash on com.android.phone, so backup your apks before installing if you plan on actually using this other than testing.
I will not be held responsible for any damage this may do to your phone.
What works:
Calling
Data
Wifi
What doesn't work:
Camera
Play Store (repeated crash on com.android.phone related to the carrier problem)
Texting (carrier problem. Working on a fix.)
USB file transfer
Instructions for acquiring data:
enable roaming, switch the radio to GSM auto (PRL) or WCDMA.
Test 9 released. Should be more stable.

As I can't really test this on a long term basis (life is quite the hassle), I'd appreciate any help I can get. Mainly posting bug reports and sending me logcats.

I've tried exchanging libs but that led to the ROM not booting.
I didn't have time to really sift through the build.prop but as far as I know, both the camera and usb should work if you manage to get the libs working.

for me another reason to sell mine and buy an HTC One X+

Will or Is Force Roaming be available?

Curious if anyone knows the status of the Force Roam option.
I've really enjoyed having that option on my HTC EVO LTE.
Thanks
I've heard a rumor that Roam Control works on it. Haven't had a chance to test it out, I'll see if it works at all sometime later today. I too would enjoy having the ability to force roam (I live in the vicinity of a rural area so at times it's needed) - is great on my EVO LTE running MeanBean.
I've ported the mod but it's not working it worked on the sense 5 port for the ELTE

Ah I got it. Thanks I've never dabbled in force roaming before outta fear of Sprint axing my contract for "excessive roaming" and that causing my wife to kick my a** lol but I'm checking into it to see the difference in speeds and just use it in a "as needed" situation. I've come to the understanding that with the right mods you can do the ##778# and edit the prl from there but I'm not entirely sure yet what all that entails. I was just checking around in there and when I selected edit mode under the prl option it asked me for a password and I'm not sure what password it wants. Lol still digging but I'm at work now(in a warehouse so reception is god awful) so after work I may looking into it more. Thanks again any further knowledge anyone shares is much appreciated.

Okay, the RoamControl app does not work on an un-rooted phone. Confirmed using version 2.7 and selecting htc unrooted in options. The developer does not return emails, so those that are looking to roam on a stock device will have to wait for the app to be updated.
It's cool tho, I will be rooted as soon as I'm convinced this phones hardware is worthy of the pounding I'm gonna put on it over the next year! hehe
Peace.

*ROM* JBsourcery *First port attempt. Need testers

i did read the dev guidlines. im sorry this thread isnt set up the proper way. once i make sure this port actually works i will post it the proper way...right now this is all a crapshoot for me. :lol
I Used to have a Galaxy Nexus and loved the ROM JBSourcery but I want the ROM on my Nexus 4 but have never had any luck with devs to port it. So I followed the directions on how to port a ROM over to a new device. It was rather straightforward and easy....maybe a little too easy. Anyways. I have to have my phone up and running for the good part of the week so Im unable to test this. If anyone out there is willing to test it and give me an update on whats working and whats broken on it I would appriciate it.
I take no responsibilies on your device bricking. I take no credit for the contents of the ROM. I am simply trying to port it over to a new device
****download link removed until i can find a proper GSM version of JBsourcery to port.

AT&T Wifi Hotspot Hack-Very Easy

I found this hack in LG G2 forum at XDA, so the credit goes to whoever found this, not to me.
1. Download SQLite Editor (I have the paid version)
2. Open the file - /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
3. There's a field named 'tether_entitlement_check_state'. in System. Original value is set to 5. Changed it to 0 and save
4. Reboot the phone
5. Enjoy tethering using AT&T app, not necessary to install any other app.
Edit: USB tethering works great too.
Where's the att app at?

Dont' worry.
I got this to work through the settings using this method, no need on using it through Mobile Hotspot app.
And I believe this method needs to be moved to the Theme and APPs section

SO im assuming that this method does not work for sprint? im in serious need for infrastructure tethereing

What program are you using to edit? I couldn't find it using root explorer like I normally use. Had to use the 920 text editor app
Im using SQLite Editor. Ill try using 920 text editor.
Edit no luck. I posted up screenshots showing that I cant find that tether entitlement. The second pic is the 920 editor and it doesn't find anything in the data folder.
EDIT. I found it. I had to run the app and leave it running in the background to find the entitlement check. Thanks for the post and help.
