What does this mean? - Sprint HTC One (M7)

If you look at the picture I posted, what does that dot on the top left mean? (On the notification bar) it pops up at random times and I have no idea what it is

No clue. What happens when you drag the bar down while the dot is there? I would assume it would be some app icon of some sort but honestly have no clue.
D

It is probably from an app you installed. The app may be updating, connecting to the network for some reason, or performing some other background task.
When it pops up, do you have anything odd in the home double-tap screen?
If nothing shows up in the dropdown or the recent apps screen (home double-tap), you could install a task killer to check what is running at the time.

It's a Google notification. Whenever it pops up I usually have a notification from Google now.

That's most definitely Google Now or some other Google service (music playing) . It's probably either Weather or Directions to a place for gnow. Google displays information it deems that you want to know immediately there.

I'm not sure I agree with this. Google Play Music uses a headphone icon, and weather alerts either don't show up or appear as a cloud. Same with directions-- those are usually represented by a clock or vehicle icon.

Yes you're correct they use those icons but if you are viewing media of some sort they "hide" themselves by those little dots. If you open the notification bar you'll see the service there.
For example. If I'm viewing a movie the icons turn into those dots

Yeah its Google Now. Whenever I get that, it shows me the weather from Google Now. It probably just shows that it updated
Sent from my Epic 4G Touch using XDA Premium

I've never seen that, ever...

usually when i see it on my it's severe weather notifications

Only shows up for me when I'm looking at an image from my Google+ feed.

It shows up for me when I have a Google now notification. Maybe it shows up for both.

A small idea that i'd like to see come to life

I just had a thought...it would be cool to be able to title your screens. A screen could become one big folder of apps as such.
I think it would be handy then to use the notification center to select different titles (screens).
Another idea is to use notification center to quickly access a certain folder quickly.
Not sure if these are good or bad ideas or even if they have been made. Let me know what you think...

Are you talking about titling your home screens? Maybe you could create a custom text widget and have it take up 1x4 spacing? :good:

Notification Toggles power menu not working

I have tried all the notification Toggles power settings and none seems to work
I have moved it into system with titanium and rooted.
Any help is appreciated!
The app just circles around on reboot or shutdown or whichever I select.
Anyone got it to work?

Ok. I thought I was the only one. I guess the developer needs to add support the one. Hopefully it is soon. And it explains why arhd uses the other app for their Toggles

Another good app for using with Power Toggles for Notification Toggles is Rebooter. Besides giving access to the boot options, it has kill apps and available memory. I know with notification toggles you can add it to the notification area pull down there as well as having it on a screen for a shortcut.

Can you post a link. There are multiple apps named rebooter. Thanks!

If you like blue this download this one as I changed the icons and made them blue. Or in Google Play during a search "rebooter" select the one that has the red power off button. See the attachment below for a screenshot.
And here a edited Notification Toggles with the icons 200% larger. With the One's hi-res screen the icons appear to small in the notification pulldown. I also created 62 custom icons you can select within the app for your toggle icons. Unzip the icons to your desktop and copy the folder to your One's internal SDcard. Then use the app to select each icon.

Notifications management t

He friends!
I found a lot of notifications apps. But no one works like I want.
Notification center, for example, provide possibilities to dismiss notifications but take a slot, dubled native notification center and have not good filtration.
Pebblify provide perfect filtration setup.
Augmented have a lot of settings but very complicated in setup, mixed different function...
Etc.
Maybe it is possible:
- replace the official notifications center to some custom instead parallel installation,
- parallel working of notification manager like Notification center with filter like Pebblify together,
- in the feature create universal notification app for official app replacing combined better ideas from different apps?
Thank you!

Try Light Flow. I believe it is the most comprehensive notification control app. And it can send to pebble.

Now I use this mod of Notification center http://forums.getpebble.com/discussion/9842 with per-app filtration, but I do not like it for some reasons.
I found that the Pebblify provide the best way of notification management. But it working via accessibility, and I'm not sure if notification sent this way can be dismissed through both devices. ?

Well when the pebble isn't connected the icon should stick (until it simply gives in and accept it's lost for good)

It remains in your drop down, that's how you know it's connected. When it isn't you get the persistent disconnect icon in the status bar.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
not an issue, glance can tell you also if phone/watch are connected properly and tell you if they arent.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I have had it disconnect and it says Pebble connected in my drop down notification. Glance vibrated twice letting me know it wasn't connected, I pulled down the shade and it still said the Pebble was connected. The icon with the exclamation mark didn't pop up. It's random and not consistent.
Sent from my One using Tapatalk
I noticed after 2.0 its usually not present, but it randomly appears. I'm not sure when that is. However, when it gets disconnected I almost always get the disconnected icon.
I'm pretty sure it is an issue with the Pebble app. Today my icon has been present almost all day. Its weird.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
I think it is part of v2. It's not bad. Because it makes more room for other icons to be displayed.
But as mentioned prior it always notifies on disconnecting etc.

Every once in a while it will just hang while loading contacts. That will probably be fixed in a future update. Hopefully. I usually just close the app in the task manager and reopen and its fine. It should open up all your contacts.
