Pebble icon not showing in status bar - Pebble

I remember before the Pebble icon would remain permanently in my status bar at the top left. Now it shows up for a few minutes then disappears. Anyone experience the same issues and know how to fix it?

Thats on purpose with the reason of having less clutter.

You could have turned it off anyway if you didn't want it on there.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

There is no settings switch for said notification bar icon.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

I want it there. Let's me know of the Pebble is connected. I know I can slide down the notification panel, but why should I if it used to show it in the status bar. Would be nice of there was a setting.
Sent from my One using Tapatalk

When you go to manage applications, whichever app you click on there is a check box that is for notification.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

how about a watchface like canvas, that can tell you directly on your watchface if your connected fine?

Well when the pebble isn't connected the icon should stick (until it simply gives in and accept it's lost for good)

Yeah since the new update if it's not connected the icon will be there with the exclamation point.

I'm aware of managing the apps and showing notifications. I'm just want the little watch icon to remain in my status bar.

It remains in your drop down, that's how you know it's connected. When it isn't you get the persistent disconnect icon in the status bar.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

not an issue, glance can tell you also if phone/watch are connected properly and tell you if they arent.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

I have had it disconnect and it says Pebble connected in my drop down notification. Glance vibrated twice letting me know it wasn't connected, I pulled down the shade and it still said the Pebble was connected. The icon with the exclamation mark didn't pop up. It's random and not consistent.
Sent from my One using Tapatalk

I noticed after 2.0 its usually not present, but it randomly appears. I'm not sure when that is. However, when it gets disconnected I almost always get the disconnected icon.

I'm pretty sure it is an issue with the Pebble app. Today my icon has been present almost all day. Its weird.
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

I think it is part of v2. It's not bad. Because it makes more room for other icons to be displayed.
But as mentioned prior it always notifies on disconnecting etc.

[Q] This thread symbol - but red.

Hi all,
Had the phone two days now, big step up from the SE Arc S!
Now for the question, whilst out and about today with data off my phone displayed a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it in the notification bar, opening the notifications showed nothing, clearing them made it go away for a few minutes. What does it mean? Signal related? (signal seemed fine)
Edit: Notification area displays locality when this symbol is displayed, still not sure how this is worthy of a red triangle (error) symbol

No clue. What happens when you drag the bar down while the dot is there? I would assume it would be some app icon of some sort but honestly have no clue.
D
It is probably from an app you installed. The app may be updating, connecting to the network for some reason, or performing some other background task.
When it pops up, do you have anything odd in the home double-tap screen?
If nothing shows up in the dropdown or the recent apps screen (home double-tap), you could install a task killer to check what is running at the time.

That's most definitely Google Now or some other Google service (music playing) . It's probably either Weather or Directions to a place for gnow. Google displays information it deems that you want to know immediately there.

I'm not sure I agree with this. Google Play Music uses a headphone icon, and weather alerts either don't show up or appear as a cloud. Same with directions-- those are usually represented by a clock or vehicle icon.

Yes you're correct they use those icons but if you are viewing media of some sort they "hide" themselves by those little dots. If you open the notification bar you'll see the service there.
For example. If I'm viewing a movie the icons turn into those dots

Only shows up for me when I'm looking at an image from my Google+ feed.

Changes I noticed in 4.4.1 OTA :D

As you most likely know, Android 4.4.1 OTA link has been found
So I did the update, and would like to share the changes I found:
1 - Transparent decor on lockscreen by default
No Google Experience Launcher though =/
2 - White instead of blue on launcher (Scrollbar on home screen, widgets and apps bar in drawer)
3 - Settings icon change on tile layout
4 - Slight camera improvements? (Might be placebo effect )
5 - Buttons changed on some things (Either that or I don't notice for that till now xP)(Look on set wallpaper button)
And that's it for now.. feel free to point out anything I missed

Every once in a while it will just hang while loading contacts. That will probably be fixed in a future update. Hopefully. I usually just close the app in the task manager and reopen and its fine. It should open up all your contacts.

Good lock is still in the galaxy app store. It was actually just updated September 29th. I'm using it right now. I just wish I knew why it had a slight delay when swiping to unlock. It's my only compliant. Actually I also wish it had more options for quick settings. It's missing tethering ;/
By installing this does it drain battery life more?
