Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with this. I have the desire c (branded to 3 and rooted) it has worked great for awhile but recently the screen keeps going into landscape and getting stuck there (even when holding it up right) I've tried turning auto rotate off but it still happens usually a restart fixes it for awhile but then it starts again. I found a app on the market that can force it back into portrait but then I can't make some apps full screen like YouTube. I've tried a factory reset a few times both through settings and by pushing power and volume up but not long after it starts happening again.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thanks.

Maybe you should backup your current rom, and then install a custom one maybe some files relating to the sensors could be corrupt.
Thanks i may try using a generic rom to see if it fixes it. What's the best way to back up my current rom? Gonna need to go back to it if I have to sent it off to get fixed.

Well I tried nameless Rom but it didn't fix it so looks like I'm gonna have to send my phone off for repair

Try calibrating your sensors.

Thanks I tried that but no luck the odd thing is the sensor seems to work cause I can play that game where you control the ball with the sensor. But its started doing other stuff now like it keeps turning the screen on on its own and putting phone on loud speaker and pausing music etc.

Weird... The game works, but the accelorometer doesn't work at other places

My wife's Desire C has the same problem. Stuck in landscape most of the time. Screen turning on, phonecalls sometimes suddently go to speaker. Sensors are working fine if you ask me.
I was trying to root it when I read this topic, I still might try a custom rom though.
Glad I'm not the only one who had this problem. Maybe there's a fault with some of the handsets or something.
I gave up and sent mine off for repair now.

Heyyy!!! Did u find any solution for your problem. My phone is also starting to behave in the same way....
I think I found the solution. It seems like the problem is with HTC's ROM based on ICS 4.0 and 4.0.4. I tried just about any ROM based on ICS (stock and custom) with any kernel combination and the problem repeats itself.
Flashed CM 10.1 and the problem is gone.

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if you could help me with this. When I was using this rom and kernel, while I was watching a YouTube video, my quick setting toggled just randomly disappeared. I know it seems hard to believe. But, I tried reinstalling both the Rom and the kernel and nothing. Can you help me?
Thanks so much!

P.S. While in media, with no headphones, the speakers don't play anything at the second to lowest volume setting. I have to turn it up to the third lowest to hear anything. Can you help me with this? It's not as big of a deal.
Just tap the date when you're on the notification shade to restore it

If im not mistaken.. I have read somewhere.. Its tune down by HTC.. Nothing we can do bout it... Someone correct me if im wrong thanks

I thought the bigger issue was the firmware changing from 1.27 to 1.29 a couple months ago where many say the max volume was dropped. Personally I didn't notice such a dramatic difference though.

Both of these guys ^^^^^ are correct. One of the only ways i know to return it to higher levels is to install a custom kernel that has sound control (Such as Tbaldens Performance Kernel 2.1.4) and install an app (like trickster mod) that will give you the ability to control these levels. See attached pics.
AT&T HTC One | ARHD 12.0
Tbalden Perf Kernel 2.1.4 UV/OC/UC
Thanks for reply lads it cleared slot of things if htc felt as tho the sound needed reajusting then im fine with that  and thanks for the reply and may i ask whats the best settings to use on trickster??

Indeed, I was also interested when HTC lowered the volume. Again I can't speak from personal experience on this but there was a lot of talk about popping from the speakers initially which you don't hear as much about now. Perhaps it was for the better Still, awesome to know we can go back if we want

Hey guys,
Got this phone yesterday. Everything looks stupidly big! I had S3 before with one of CM roms and custom DPI settings that made the phone really usable! Any way to change it on this phone and what settings are people using? Thanx!!

You must root your phone and after this, you can install ROM Toolbox for changing DPI.
Hello I have a problem a long time ago, same with older sense versions. The problem is after I install a new App and then I go to the App drawer its darker than usual. I have to hit home and then its normal again. Screenshot attached to see the difference. I use stock rom with custom kernel. It did happen before too when the phone was completly stock

Do you change the speed of animations in developers? Set it back to 1 if you on 0.5
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Free mobile app
I had that on all sense 5.5 ROMs. After upgrading to sense 6 it dissapeared. Obviously it was some kind of sense 5.5 bug and changing animartion speed didn't help. I even asked service about it, but they didn't know how to fix it
