[Q] 4.2.2 + CWM How-to? [Solved] - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I installed 4.2.2 (The Spanish FTF), how can I get CWM now?
I used/tried DoomLord's method for UL BL, but that, I just got into a bootloop because of it, so is there any way to have 4.2.2 and CWM?
This is the topic I used:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167381
Edit:
Solved by installing DoomLord's new root exploit, then install dual recovery.
MOD EDIT: Thread closed @ OP request

[Q] Root Xperia T .223

Hi,
for Christmas I had the Xperia T -thank's Santa! ). And I see there is an update to do, so I go in my computer to do this, but before I had root my phone. So, I did the update and my build number is 7.0.A.3.223. My root is not stay, and I want to do again the Bin4ry's Method. But the problem is this method doesn't work ! I can't root my phone, and I see no info in forum about this build.
Thank's for your help !
Just look on instructions in this thread if you wont stock rooted .223 firmware.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2026918
Also you can find some custom roms based on 223 fw in development section

[Q] How to Revert to STOCK ROM [ LB ]

Hello Team,
I have successfully rooted my XSp using the DoolLord Method and also flashed the CWM but kept LB.
Few days ago I have installed Custom Rom but this made me lose my CWM. I have tried many ways to get my CWM back again but in vain. I do not get the second vibration after the sony Logo to get into CWM.
I have again went through the root procedures of DoomLord, the reboot fix and the Flashed the CWM. I now get the second vibration after the sony logo pressing the Vol + button should get me to CWM but the Xsp reboots. I am now out of steps.
An advise regarding this will be very helpful.
1. I need to get back to my stock Rom [C5302_12.0.A.2.254_India.ftf] using flashtool. So does it require unlocked bootloader to flash it?
2. Is there any way I can get the CWM back keeping this custom ROM so that i could restore the backup i have taken through CWM before installing this custom rom ?
Hope this thread finds helpful to people working on LB.

1. You can flash stock firmware using flashtool even if you are on locked bootloader
2. Try to install cwm manually by just moving the files and giving them right permission if not flash stock rom using flastool then root, install cwm and the restore your backup

[Q] new to xperia z1 rooting

hi first of all am a noob when it comes it comes to rooting the xperia z1. The current android version am using is kitkat 14.3.A.0.681 and am using C6903 and i have seen posts on how to root it in this forum my issue is am a bit confused especially with stuff like unlock bootloader relock bootloader, CMW , downgrading etc i would really appreciate it if anybody could explain to me in detail how to root it especially direct rooting if theres any available or the procedure which requires downgrading
No direct rooting.
You can however read some threads and follow this advice
1) Downgrade to a FTF ending in .534 (Find it in the mega collection thread, the OP there has all the instructions needed)
2) Install dual recovery (Find it in the cross device development thread, the OP there has all the instructions needed)
3) Flash SuperSU.zip from chainfire (Google supersu chainfire)
4) Flash a 4.4.2 ROM of your choice. (Find them in the development section, the OP there has all the instructions needed)
4 easy steps to get root. No need to back up TA, no need to unlock the bootloader.

download it and run it. Yes you can choose to use CMW, Philz (Based on CMW) or TWRP. It will install all 3 recoveries onto your phone

Sorry Greg to bother you again about this but I will be glad to know why we should flash supersu via recovery? I mean, if you telling this, there should be a good reason, right? which it is?
To get a am app that manages your error privalages. Without it nothing can be given root rights.

[Q] ROM Installation Problem(Installation Aborted, Can't open /sdcard/rom.zip)

I don't get officially Kitkat update until now, so i trying to flash this "Fully Deodexed Stock KitKat ROM v1" by Rajeev
I was in 4.3, so i flash 4.2.2(10.3.1.A.2.67) to gain Root access. Root using DoomLord method(flash 10.3.A.0.423 kernel, gain root & again flash 10.3.1.A.2.67 kernel). Then install XZDualRecovery 2.7.1XX RC by NUT
But when i try to install ROM through PhilZ Touch or CWM recovery i get error message "Installation Aborted, Can't open /sdcard/name_of_rom.zip".
Also i tried with this CWM recovery 6.0.2.8 for locked bootloaders v4 by krabappel2548, same issue on it too.
I am not sure what is the problem, i follow every single instruction while installing CWM recovery/flashing ROM. Can anyone please help me.

Instead of flashing a zip you can flash the official 4.4.2 ftf(Use flashtool to flash ftf) and root it

Searching newest CWM for LB

Hi!
I'm searching newest CWM for locked bootloader.
I found only this:
6.0.2.8 for LB http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...cked-bootloader-cwm-recovery-6-0-2-8-t2187363
6.0.4.6 for UB http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/cwm-based-recovery-6-0-4-6-root-xperia-t2167381
Any newest files are here?

But that's DUAL recovery - I'm searching ONLY CWM. And that "6.0.2.8 for LB" what i found on 4.4 didn't works.
If you have a locked bootloader, then the dual recovery is your only choice and even then you'll have to boot into vanilla CWM via the included NDR Utils app. Just don't use the other recoveries. They're not doing any harm by being there.
