Before I post this post, I did my homework. I searched on several posts posts on Kernels and rooting methods. But they make me bit confused what I should do and what I should do in future firmwares.
Main reason I unlocked bootloader is to keep root whatever firmware I through into my phone.
Since I am on 10.1.1.A.1.307 firmware, What's best and safest way to root my phone (without losing root in future firmwares or easily can regain root)?
There are many methods and I am sure new users and unlock-loaders might find this useful.
PS: Installing recovery is worth for this
Thanks very much!

I didn't rely on a specific thread or guide to follow. Mostly lots of Google, lots of XDA searching etc.
A summary would be something like this, if memory serves right:
- Unlock the bootloader
- Download and install latest Flashtool here
- Install the drivers included on Flashtool under "/flashtool/drivers" directory.
- Select device specific drivers, plus flashmode drivers, and fastboot drivers.
- Download a prerooted kernel compatible with your rom version, preferably one with an included recovery
- Extract the boot.img file from the zip if needed
- Execute Flashtool, click on the thunder symbol
- Turn off your phone, and plug the USB cable while holding volume up
- Select Fastboot mode
- On the right of the new window there is an option called Select kernel to flash, click it and locate the boot.img file
- With all of this done, you now should have a rooted device, plus a recovery.
Corrections are welcome, as I said before, I hope I remember every step.

Why make it so hard for him?
Just download this file and put it on your internal/external storage:
SuperSU-1.25-Busybox-1.20.2

And then flash it through recovery (CWM etc)

Yes, sorry I'm thinking of his "Advanced Stock kernel", which gives the option to root in recovery.
@ OP what do you mean "future firmwares"? OTA or custom ROMs?

then switch off phone
then u flash kernelonly.ftf using flashtool (flashmode)

i am not sure bro, i do not own the Xperia T neither did i try those roms. i only translated the steps to english for you.
could be a few possibilities for such problems
what did you try to delete? if it's apps , why don't u try using uninstaller app to uninstall instead of the usual way using a root browser
did you do anything out of the norm when flashing the ROM, recovery, SU update in recovery AND their kernelonly FTF using flashtool (in flashmode)?
thru out the whole process from flashing ROM till flashing kernelonly FTF, your phone should not be allowed to be booted/start up at all
perhaps you should tried re-doing the whole process and as follow -
1) revert to previous version
2) perform factory reset, including internal storage
3) root & install recovery from computer ( preferred recovery according to the site : XT-lockeddualrecovery2.7.91.installer.zip , or lastest)
4) boot up your phone, check everything is in order and ok, do not even update anything when prompted
5) enter recovery, in successive manner without rebooting your phone thru out,
flash rom
flash XT-lockeddualrecover flashable zip
flash update-supersu
6) after flashing is done, switch off your phone by taking out the battery
7) reinsert battery and DO NOT START your phone
8) place the kernelonly FTF in your flashtool\firmware folder
9) start flashtool, do not change any option and flash the kernelonly FTF to your phone
then you'll be done. Actually i do not see any reason why it'll give any problems unless the ROM or kernelonly FTF is not properly built or corrupted during download
alternatively, if it still gives problem, you can try flashing your own FTF file instead of their kernelonly FTF.
If you flash your own 9.2.A.1.199 FTF, just exclude "system"
disclaimer: i could be wrong

i'm sure, root OK, CWM ok, i've tried flash remountrebootfix by [NUT] but after flash ROOT HAS GONE, then i reflash superSU, ROOT come back, but remount reboot NOT FIX.
i recently asked for help in regards to rooting firmware 14.3.A.681 Model C6903 a noobs guide really since i am still new to it but some of the reply's i got were a bit confusing but all had one thing in common which was downgrade to an ftf ending in .534. The issues making me confused are
1. when i downgrade to .534 ftf i downloaded the Commercial and Generic UK unbranded versions and to my surprise my SIM Card wasn't detected i really dont know why :/
2.the next issue was reply's from some members regarding the next step which was after downgrading install xddualrecovery others also said root the .534 firmware first then install xddualrecovery and i noticed with some versions of xddualrecovery there's a 3rd option called "Install on non root" now my question here is, that option will it root and install a recovery on my phone such as CWM or TWRP and if yes why do i need a recovery am just rooting and truly do not wish to backup any data on phone or SD Card or install custom roms in future
3.the next issue was SuperSU after doing some googling on it i realized its an apk for root but i thought rooting will give me superuser access so my do i need that and why does xddualrecovery have an option of install SuperSU on rooted phone
4. the next issue is flashable ftf's or zip and stripped ftf's or zip and how is it different from regular or Stock ftf's and also why do i need to flash a flashable zip or ftf in say TWRP recovery and after powering off flash it again with the flashtool as some members suggested ?
5. the next issue is if its really required to install a recovery such as CWM or TWRP to get root access how do i unroot and get back default Stock firmware
6. what is locked and unlock bootloader ? and how do i know if mine is locked or unlocked some members made statements regarding that
all these issues especially my SIM Card not being detected made downgrade to C6903_14.2.A.0.290_Generic MY_1276-7939_R1B before my sim card started functioning and my last question is how to root 14.2.A.0.290 since it seems kitkat rooting is quite complicated and i hope rooting 14.2.A.0.290 would not require a downgrade

You flash it just like any other FTF, do not open it.
All ftf files have multiple files in them, they are basically a zip archive. In fact the stripped FTF has LESS files in it than the big ones....

I don't know why the extension of the stripped file is in .zip. Put that stripped file in Flashtool>firmware folder and if Flashtool recognize the file then you are ready to go, if not, change the Extension of that file from .zip to .ftf and try again. Same way like the downgrade, which I assume you did.

Yes, its a .zip to help with the download from [NUT]s server

change the extension of the file to .ftf, do not extract them
a .ftf file is just a .zip archive with a different extension. It needs to be .ftf for flashtool to recognise it as a (F)lash(T)ool (F)ile

change the extension of the file to .ftf, do not extract them
a .ftf file is just a .zip archive with a different extension. It needs to be .ftf for flashtool to recognise it as a (F)lash(T)ool (F)ile

Hello,
I have my ZR (5503) rooted with 4.4 the bootloader is locked. Since I am not a dev or something i want to test it first. I tell what i did if a dev want to know how i did it.
I had a ZR with 4.1/rooted/recovery on it.
I used a 10.5.A.0.530 NCB file for to start.
I followed this guide (thread) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307311
Almost at the end you have to flash the created zip in recovery. After that i flashed the SuperSU_fix.zip and update-SuperSU-v1.86.zip (i dont know if it was needed).
Then i switch the mobile off and flash the FTF file (10.5.A.0.530NCB) with system excluded (flashtool).
After this i boot in 4.4 and then checked if i had root and it was. The recovery was lost but i managed to get it back with the ZRDUALRECOVERY
Now i go to do the proces again and make a tutorial and maybe put the files somewhere.
I am happy already,
Try to use the Remount reboot fix by nut
and use foldermount and check as this is the most important thing to me

Hello,
I found a way for to get root with kitkat 4.4 and a locked bootloader.
Try at won risk! I am not responsible for things that go wrong.
what you need for to start :
working recovery and root 4.1, 4.2 or 4.3 (i had a 4.1 android version)
Flashtool
steps:
download :
zrkitkat5503.zip https://mega.co.nz/#!DYZwTRhL!6kYealPTKNZT_YX7Zgp3gvs6BP7dcBcVa7FyZBw72qg
stripped rom 4.4 : https://mega.co.nz/#!2YZn3LyB!JKCaBQdMpkqxiO6UbbsXeF3aNgvaoe9Z6iNEERCF7aY
Update Super SU: https://mega.co.nz/#!LEIwGDCS!KVxVB-wYlClhblPY-g5MQ71D_7U2acd7hwwqAxJj20c
Recovery: https://mega.co.nz/#!GIpWEJjJ!0gEIZawEwKuvmEZ4LQm-4ZCmduoy7kxwxDLSResqvUQ
copy kitkatzr5503.zip to your external memorycard.
unzip the su-binary fix and copy it to memorycard.
boot in recovery and wipe cache partition, wipe Dalvik cache and wipe Data/Factory reset.
flash the kitkatzr5503.zip and after that flash the su-binary fix.
DONT BOOT!
power off and get your phone in flashmode , flash the stipped 4.4 rom with flashtool.
reboot and you will have root, install zrdualrecovery again and then everything works.
for sure someone else can make a more nice way for to install it but this works. And if someone make a better tutorial let me know. Also i dont have experience with MEGA for file sharing. If there is a better way let me know.
succes

Can I just flash the stock 4.4 FTF and unchecking the system instead of using the stripped rom you have provided?
Yes you can as the kernel in the picture expresses the version of the 4.4 version of android
I already done it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2765062
Hello. I have found too confusing to find right thread about root for s4a 9295. Most threads about root are mixed with i537, so i think separate thread for 9295 regarding it will be good decision.

2. Donload Superuser zip UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r3.zip
3. Copy su.zip to sdcard or internal memory;
4. Download in recovery mode;
5. Choose install zip from sd card (if zip on internal memory) or Choose zip from storage/sdcard1 (if zip on external sd card);
6. Install UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r3.zip;
7. After instaling, choose reboot to system, if recovery ask to fix root rights, choose NO;

I did this also but whit out these instructions... i went to hit yes when rebootting... The phosne is rooted yes, but i can't moun't back up..or flash anything else... does new reboot help???
Okay.. i did everything.. i re-flashed supersu, booted, re-booted and said no to rootfix.. Usb debugging on , and supersu apk setting checked and there is head user allowed..
I tried to make back up again but it did not work.
CWM starts to make back up but on the end it said can´t mount it... if i check my SD card there is back up folder and i think that there is also back up file (size1,95G).
I tried to restore but CWM saids something MD5 file failed...
So i´m rooted but i can´t flash new rom...
Try to reflash via Odin, and then do according to instruction.

Do they have different bootloader.
My phone is also encrypted... does it matter?

It does not work... if i flash new rom (4.2,2 stock) using odin , flashing procedure stops and fails.. phone gets stucked and only way to get phone working is to flash KK stock firmware back...
So maybe i'm having some issue with the rom... i can' t find any another working. rom.... so i' m dead end.....

Okay..
I9295 does not have locked bootloader... so i managed to solve my problem..
For some reason i could not to make backup of stock rom so just wiped all and flashed 4.3 slim and configured it and backupped...
I also flashed stock deoxed JB, and now i can get drivelink app to work again.
I also tried to flash safestrap but there was no SS to i9295 so i tried us version SS.
Everything works fine but i could not to make any rom slots.. i did not have enough memory.... but for real there was plenty of memory..
One problem is that every time i try to flash stock jb it soft bricks the phone... kk flash is fine..
Has anyone try to use hemidall???
can someone help

I have little problem first three stages I have done, but fourth stage I don't understund
4. Download in recovery mode;
does that mean i should go cwm and instal there su.zip or what
flashing via odin went well and i got green pass after flashing. But I dont see cwm anywhere when starting phone recovery, it goes original recovery not cwm.
