Should the EU be dissolved? - Off-topic

There many reasons to disolve the EU and/or remove the Euro. Countries cant compete, extreme debt, loss of sovereignty.
What do you think?

I think this thread's gonna get closed
My two cents xD

That would cause instability in the political legislation already set forth by EU members.
More dismay and frustration from the citizens of EU.
Also no direct political threads. It's bad like to asters

This is not a political thread. The EU is by definition not a political union. This thread is about asking an open opinion. Nothing to rage over something, its not politics.
I am not discussing here whether the greens, the blues or the reds are right, just what people think.

There is a difference between "definition" and "reality".
It is technically a political union since they agree mutually to legislate laws governing certain states of independent nations.
I like EU laws, they are the basis for today's modern political framework which are adapted by other countries. Like the EU data protection act and EU citizen censorhip act.
It's a waste of good mutual cooperation if it will get disbanded which is most likely not happening.

Sorry, but the EU is a political body. It is just not a Nationalistic body, however, the newspaper will show that there are still some pretty nasty squabbles going on that have there origins in old Nationalistic self interests, ideals, stereotypes etc.
So it is best for me to put on my Dictator Costume, crack my riding crop on my oh so shiny boots and close this thread.

Equality, Women and Rise to Power

Everyday I see that the First World countries talk about equality, especially for man and woman and their propaganda to implement equality in third world countries where allegedly women are abused and treated like slaves. Then how come it is that only the 3rd world countries have had women head of states till now, with the exception of UK?

Hypocrisy at it's utlimate?
I think you have a point, but with all the respect to you here (XDA) is no place to discuss this. There are plenty of forums that relate to this topic. At the end, this is a political issue and I just wanted to tell you that it's against the rules and probably this thread will be closed by a mod.
2. Be polite and respect your fellow xda-dev user.
There is no need for cursing, flaming, racism or personal attacks. There are a lot of different nationalities on this forum all with different cultures, this means that no matter what you're like, you'll have to adjust to people that are most definitely not like you. For this reason we'd like to ask you to refrain from discussions about religion or politics, we do not wish to limit your right to free speech, but we have noticed these topics tend to get heated and might be best discussed in a different environment. It will gain you a lot of respect if you help to keep the peace. It's disrespectful and therefore not permitted to create Alias Member names in an attempt to deceive others.
Amen clown brother
Agreed. Not sure if this is politics. I am not discussing Republics, Democrats, Labor Party, or a specific candidate.

The Final American Revolution. 4th of July

When a government has repeatedly and deliberately failed to follow its own laws, violated the fundamental human rights of its citizens, threatened the sanctity of a free press, created institutions intended to eliminate privacy of communication, waged war at the behest of special interests that threatens the public safety, killed hundreds of children with drone strikes, imprisoned and destroyed the lives of countless individuals for victimless crimes, stifled economic opportunity to maintain the dominance of the financial elite, stolen from the people through an absurd system of taxation and inflation, sold future generations into debt slavery, and abused its power to suppress political opposition, it is unfit to exist and it becomes the duty of the people to alter or abolish that government by whatever means necessary to secure liberty and ensure peace. A new American revolution is long overdue. This revolution has been brewing in the hearts and minds of the people for many years, but this Independence Day, it shall take a new form as the American Revolutionary Army will march on each state capital to demand that the governors of these 50 states immediately initiate the process of an orderly dissolution of the federal government through secession and reclamation of federally held property. Should one whole year pass from this July 4th while the crimes of this government are allowed to continue, we may have passed the point at which non-violent revolution becomes impossible. The time to sit idly by has passed, to remain neutral is to be complicit, just doing your job is not an excuse, and the line in the sand has been drawn between we the people, and the criminals in Washington, DC. While some timid souls will say that it is too early, that we can solve this problem through democratic means provided by government, that current levels of taxation are reasonable for the services provided, and that the crimes of this government are merely a tolerable nuisance; it may already be too late. While there is risk in drastic action, the greater danger lies in allowing this government to continue unchallenged. So if you are content with the status quo, stay home, get fat, watch the fireworks from a safe distance, and allow this Independence Day to pass like any other. But if you see as we see, and feel as we feel, we will see you on the front lines of freedom on July 4th 2013 for this: The Final American Revolution.

While I agree with much of what you've posted, wouldn't dissolution of the federal government remove the last remianing bulkheads of federal regulation against the greater danger of corporate abuses, thus ushering in the new era of unabated corporotocratic despotry?
That's why I never cared for Ron Paul, as many good points as he made. I always figured behind the well-meaning facade he was just another corporate stooge.
Sorry I presume political discussions or debates based on it are not allowed on XDA.
Advanced Happy Independence Day U.S.A !!
Political discussions, no matter how well meaning, should be avoided on xda -they are expressly against the rules: 2.4 Personal attacks, racial, political and/or religious discussions: XDA is a discussion forum about certain mobile phones. Mobile phones are not racial, political, religious or personally offensive, therefore none of these types of discussions are permitted on XDA.
Sorry...but thread closed.

What is happening?

I've been away and I'm disappointed and disturbed by all the splinter groups starting up for different countries.
This is supposed to be ONE COMUNITY WITH ONE LANGUAGE. It states this. Splitting off is nothing short of breaking up XDA though self imposed racism.
It stinks on a thread where the phone is identical everywhere. Use Google translate.
Don't undue the ideals of the site.
If you want an Arab thread I'm sure one exists in your own country. This is not a site of race groups. We are all the same with the same love of technology.
Lord knows why the moderators let this happen.
I've even seen an English thread. This is harmful racist and dumb. I'd bet money it's newer members. If you don't like it as it is move. Don't fragment the site into the dust

Don't like those threads? Then don't open them
Why not? There might be some country specific questions which might be better answered in a country specific thread.
There are lots of questions related to carriers and accessories which might be country specific. It's easier to ask those questions in a country specific thread.
Just having country specific thread is not racism.

Exactly, let's not be fooled by political correctness. Creating a country specific thread and spreading hate or taking initiative against other race/nation/country etc...yup it's the same
and what does this have to do with the n4?
actually in the galaxy S4 forum the regional threads are not allowed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2381647

Speak for yourself. I find your post more of those things than any other language oriented thread I've read on this site, congrats.
This has already been discussed and country specific threads are allowed on XDA as long they are not made exclusive, they stay on topic (i.e. where to find the best deals in a given locale, carrier reviews, etc.), and the discussions being carried on in these threads stay within the rules.
With that being said, this particular discussion only stands to stir up trouble and cause arguments, so I have no choice but to close it.
Thank you, and have a great day.

World War III about to kick off ? Russia invading Ukraine !

What are your thoughs about this recent movement ?
Ukraine mobilises after Putin's 'declaration of war'
Ukrainian and Russian troops in standoff at Crimean military base - live updates
You this conflic can be solved without violence ?
Who can stop Russia ? What are the options ?
Just making a place for us to discuss this topic
Edit: If this is not allowed in OT, pls remind me... I didn't see any rules that say this is not allowed
Edit_2: Since political threads are not allowed on XDA ... I kindly ask you not to answer with a political stamement such as "I hope A destroyes B with a nuclear strike".... So just try to discuss without saying you want someone to win or whatever... take the question "What are the options to solve this conflict without violence ?" as an example... I think this isn't too policital
It has been started with America and Syria

I hope it will end without war. If not, Poland would be in centre of world war 3rd time from 1914. I'm definitely not happy because Poland (my country) borders with Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

As long as there's a reason for war
It'll never end
It all caused by fear, greed, and mis-guided people
You can't simply remove those from the human nature
And history doesn't repeat it self, humanity repeat it's stupidity
Take that as a lesson for tomorrow
And yes, political topics are not allowed on XDA

the most "funny" thing is that my country has the borders with both countries , so i may get screwed up if this war continues
let's hope that the situation won't get any worst that it is now...

135,000 employees have already lost their jobs at tech giants Meta, Alphabet, Amazon & co this year

When will the end of the relief wave be reached, what do you think?

When there is no more affordable electricity, because then it is not possible to fire thousands employees by email as the Twitter boss has done
There's no single answer to the cause of this, but it mainly comes from decreased revenue. Major tech companies make most of their money on advertisements and other user-focused interactions. There's been a pretty significant downturn in ad revenue, and this may partly have to do with the erosion of public trust in social media companies as a result of the recent revelations of their significant social and political interference. In Apple's case, it has more to do with significant privacy overhauls that have impacted targeted advertising.
My sister in law lost her job in the layoffs, but I'm told she got a pretty decent severance package.
