Developer Menu on 10.3.A.0.423 - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
If you want to use developer menu,
tap the " about phone"
tap the " build number" 3 or 4 times very quickly.
Bingo...
You have a developer menu.

not sure we needed a thread on this as it has been answered nearly every single time in every single thread it crops up in

The only time this would be useful is if people actually searched the forums before spewing forth requests for personal support because they are above actually searching for or reading information that has been posted many times.
So basically, never.

thanx alot, i spent a lot of time searching for that

[Q] Invisible "Thanks Button"?

I have been reading threads on this forum since I got my Captivate in August, 2010 and this is my first post. During this time I have seen several references to the "Thanks Button". There have been many times when I would have used it if I knew where it was. So much help here, so many questions answered. Problem is, button does not seem to exist for me. So, my question is; where is it?

It's right next to "quote" on every post on every thread on the website.
There may be a minimum post count before it shows up.
There is a minimum post count. Not sure what the minimum is, but I have less than 10 posts and it just recently started showing up for me.
edit: i lied, I have exactly 10 posts including this one
You also have to be signed in.

It's the minimum post issue. This will be my third post. All replies appreciated!
Hmm I'm signed in on the web site and have more than 10 posts but don't have a thank button next to quote just 2 more quote buttons.

I am glad someone asked this! I can see the Thanks button now but about a month ago before I made any posts I could not find it anywhere. There were a few people I wanted to 'Thank' but thought I was going crazy as I could not find it. And being new, I was too afraid to ask where the button was, lol.
good post I too wondered about the thanks button

Based on the replies in this thread, this was a great post. Although I already knew where it was, I clicked the Thanks button on your OP, since that is what it is for.
"Thanks Button" magically appeared for me today. Go figure.
I've had no problem on web site but I still have not been able to find it on xda app. Is it hiding from me or not available on app?
It does not show up in the app or tapatalk for some reason. It would be nice since i read the boards mainly through one of these apps.

It activates a developer options, so you can do some of "developer" stuff like USB debugging, show GPU rendering, show cpu usage and so on....
Noob. I've been a developer for a while now thanks to this method.

No worries. I was mystified when I moved up to 4.2.2, and I could not find how to turn on Android debugging. :highfive:

You Can Be A Google Developer!!!

Forgive me if someone already posted this, but here goes!
Go to:
\settings\about phone
then start tapping away at the 'Build Number' (at the bottom).
You can be a Google Developer! :good:

Thanks, lawalty, but this is common knowledge. You have to access those settings for USB Debugging, so we all already know about this. It's in the guides/howtos

Downgrade firmware?

I have upgraded from 4.3 to the leaked mlg 4.4.2. I have read that our is possible to go back to mj5 from here. Is that possible? Thank you for the help.

You should try reading.
Your question has been posted and answered so many times that Hellen Keller has seen it.
Sent from my SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
From the mlg 4.4 leak you can downgrade to mj5. Just follow the thread in the general section that says restore mj5.
Thank you 440bro. I'm sorry graydiggy for not having time to read every thread and question posted. I have a very hectic work and home life. I will strive to be more like you.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
There is a thread specific to MLG in the general section. Discussion of downgrading has been posted multiple times there.
Also, the MJ5 revert thread mentions it multiple times. Both are on the front page of the general section.
I work 12 to 15 hours a day at multiple ship yards, 5 days a week. Then I go home to my wife and kid, yet I still manage to find the time to read and learn as well as teach people how to do stuff with their phones. How do you think I gained the title of Recognized Contributer? There is no excuse to not read and learn for yourself. If you truly do not have the time, you should not be trying to modify your phone, because if you mess up, you won't have the time to fix it. Furthermore, the time wasted by posting this thread, and reading the responses could be used to learn for yourself.
XDA is a development community first. The rules clearly state to read before posting. If you can't find the time to do that, then you should not be here.

I understand everyone is busy. I appreciate the help here. I read the thread about downgrading b4 I posted just didn't see a confirmation on it working out of the 1k+ comments. I have rechecked and still have missed the other thread you've mentioned. I work in a similar environment. I can relate to long hours at work, multiple hours driving to and from work and dealing with 3+ kids and school activities everyday. I just think it's a little childish to comment liked that. When you get older you will understand. But thank you for your time. I hope you have a splendid day.
