I have upgraded from 4.3 to the leaked mlg 4.4.2. I have read that our is possible to go back to mj5 from here. Is that possible? Thank you for the help.

You should try reading.
Your question has been posted and answered so many times that Hellen Keller has seen it.

From the mlg 4.4 leak you can downgrade to mj5. Just follow the thread in the general section that says restore mj5.
Thank you 440bro. I'm sorry graydiggy for not having time to read every thread and question posted. I have a very hectic work and home life. I will strive to be more like you.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
There is a thread specific to MLG in the general section. Discussion of downgrading has been posted multiple times there.
Also, the MJ5 revert thread mentions it multiple times. Both are on the front page of the general section.
I work 12 to 15 hours a day at multiple ship yards, 5 days a week. Then I go home to my wife and kid, yet I still manage to find the time to read and learn as well as teach people how to do stuff with their phones. How do you think I gained the title of Recognized Contributer? There is no excuse to not read and learn for yourself. If you truly do not have the time, you should not be trying to modify your phone, because if you mess up, you won't have the time to fix it. Furthermore, the time wasted by posting this thread, and reading the responses could be used to learn for yourself.
XDA is a development community first. The rules clearly state to read before posting. If you can't find the time to do that, then you should not be here.

I understand everyone is busy. I appreciate the help here. I read the thread about downgrading b4 I posted just didn't see a confirmation on it working out of the 1k+ comments. I have rechecked and still have missed the other thread you've mentioned. I work in a similar environment. I can relate to long hours at work, multiple hours driving to and from work and dealing with 3+ kids and school activities everyday. I just think it's a little childish to comment liked that. When you get older you will understand. But thank you for your time. I hope you have a splendid day.

Super one click root
Hey all,
I just saw a youtube video on a root method called super one click.
Would that work for my nexus one 2.2.1 frg83d???
Please help.
I really want a easy root for my phone.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Yes it's really easy. I rooted my phone using that just 2 days ago. Only things you need to do is download the android sdk download the driver and the adb file. The unlockr.com has a tutorial on how to set up your driver. Then after that you connect your phone and download that super one click and use it. Good luck

thanks.
So you sure I could use it for frg83d?

Yes, it will work...

Good grief Charlie Brown - how many times do you need to ask the same question?
Since your bootloader is unlocked, just fastboot flashort a custom recovery, then use to install a custom ROM or rooted stock ROM...

Put some effort into searching.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=705460
Also, see the Wiki Sticky thread above yours...
Can't believe he'd come in here to say "explain here and don't give links".
What does he expect? Pretty much if he can't handle figuring it out from the wiki or guides out there, he shouldn't be rooting at all.

Hi there. Welcome to the Internet. Let me explain to you how a forum works.
1) People make posts to contribute to the overall knowledge bank of the forum.
2) The posts stick around - forever. No information is ever lost.
3) If someone has an issue that isn't previously covered by another post, they post a new post looking for clarification. That post (and the posts that answer the post) also stick around forever.
4) Before you (the user) make a new post, you are expected to look around to see if your question has been answered before. This keeps the forum from being cluttered with redundant posts, and makes the useful posts easier to find.
5) You will have to click links, read multiple posts, and do a little bit of thinking and processing on your own to use what you have learned.
Please, search. Even easier, just look at the stickied threads at the top of the board. They contain links to information that covers everything you need. No one here is going to hold your hand every step of the way, at least not until you put forth some effort of your own - like the two minutes of effort to look around the board and find the information you need. If you aren't willing to put forth that effort, and expect someone to hold your hand, you really do not have any business trying to hack your device. You'll just break it, and won't know how to fix it.

I'm tired of people bashing on these devs hard work, they have given so much and all you all can do is say how unstable the ROM is, if you don't like it don't use it. Because of your greediness it appears camcory has left, he will not receive messages and his most popular ROM thread has been closed. From now on if you run into a problem with a ROM, state the problem, not you personal opinion about the ROM. Why do you all think jocala doesn't dev anymore?

That's fine what you're saying but again, this is where I have issues. If all people want to hear is how great they are or their work is always perfect they are doing it for the wrong reasons. People who do nothing but praise are called "fanboys" and don't contribute any useful info. If people are name calling or trashing somebody's work that's different. Anytime I mention issues I am always specific with what they are.
I have mentioned my gratitude many times but if that's all that people want to hear these forums are useless.

Like I said, state the issue nothing more. If people just stated the issue they have, then you wouldn't be hearing my rant. Its like going to McDonalds and complaining that the food isn't cooked the way you like it.

This has been a problem on XDA for as long as I have been a member. There are a lot of people who just complain, or constantly say " fix it, fix it, fix it." Not everyone does this, but many do. Too many people forget that the Dev's are not obligated to release a rom or to even update it publicly. They do this for many different reasons. I agree state an issue, but part of the problem comes when an issue is overstated because people refuse to read. There is no reason to mention an issue 30 + times. Same goes for the questions that get repeated. Too many people want someone to come running to their aid. We were all noobs at one time, we learn by reading posts and trying ourselves. I just recently reread the rules and all of this is talked about there. I always appreciate our Developers and the work they release, even if it never leaves Alfa stage. I also appreciate the members who take the time to help others and offer good suggestions on a fix, or workaround. We should all keep in mind this question, if I were a Dev, would I want to deal with this?
End rant.

You are dead on about people harping on the same old crap all the time or saying "when is it going to be fixed?" They should just be ignored and eventually they will go away hopefully. It also doesn't help when so many senior members who had good comments to offer most of the time are now gone.

It's true that a lot of people don't do their research before asking questions. But what I find even worse is when people respond with answers like 2 weeks or bashing the person asking the question. I find it would be easier to just ignore or direct them to q&a rather than cluttering the development threads.

Some people respond with "2 weeks" when ETAs are asked by another user, which is considered a major faux pas. I do agree however that when ETAs come up no one should respond. I also don't think anyone should be bashed however it's hard when you get some who just flat demand things and act like a Dev is asleep at the wheel or negligent for not posting a fix or update. It's hard to believe people actually will say stuff like "when you gonna fix it, huh?" Yes, that kind of English too.
It's like a hundred dswaggz going around asking them to fix the problem (originally he asked for ports, hey just saying XD)
not all noobs are bad
I think this place is great! I haven't posted much because I'm not a dev. I have little to contribute other than my testing experiences and the occasional $5.
A year ago I would have told you rooting is pointless and custom ROMs are dangerous, but I've had a hugely positive experience with XDA and the roms these devs have released. Given the wide user appeal the site offers,(remember this is something for free, rare these days,) you can't hate on the people that don't get it.
It seems like XDA draws both those that have the open source mindset, and a very small minority of people that have no idea how a cell phone works, or could change a tire for that matter. They don't know what kind of time and effort goes into software and they don't care to know. These are people that can't help themselves. They see something cool and they want it.
Remember though, this is a small portion of people, so a better statement here, I think would be "occasionally, one of you is greedy."
Just my 2 cents.
"Nothing says I'm sorry like money," -Arnold Rothstein
And how hard can it be to click the thanks button? I do it for every OP when I use their ROM or their work or whatever. But when I have my own work viewed over 50 thousand times and downloaded over 1500 times, and receive 75 thanks, then have people ask if I can do this or that or fix this or that, most of THEM not clicking "thanks," I understand how frustrating it can be...
