No, you can't get in trouble. Nothing happened probably. Google isn't fooled that easily.
But dude.. Stop using lucky patcher. People work hard for making those apps, and the paying customer is their only income. How would you like to work for nothing?
So please, if you, for whatever reason, can't purchase apps, stick with the free ones.

dont worry buddy i have no intrest in doing it, just stumbled across it and baffled how easy it was

i can only imagine how much malware/android viruses lucky patcher has included inside the app nowadays. lucky patcher comes from a russian hacker/site.. and you do know where almost all android viruses are coming from, dont you?

Paid apps theory..

The reason that google hasn't dished out the paid apps like planned was most likely because 1 person could pay for it, download it and then spread it around to the rest of the android community.
I mean how could they prevent us (especially with root) from doing that.
I think that either they are gonna put a complete end to root (if possible),
or they're gonna completely redo the whole market and how it works.
Maybe make it so apps are originally apks but when installed they leave behind the installer and can not be installed again by finding the apk in the internal storage.
What are your thoughts?
Could be and what you said is being discussed in another part of dream forum. Tell you the truth I've been all over the internet constantly looking for paid apps and there is not much out there. Guitar hero said it was coming to android in jan and still isnt out yet! If they do that im sure someone will find a way around that as well though haha

Pay or not to pay for an application have been discussed for year and I believe there are people out there are willing to pay for the application they need, even the warez version is just some clicks away from them. You see how PC's software industry lives up? I cant find any software that cant be cracked. It's just a matter of time if someone is really wanna do that.
So it should be the same case here.
While I think there will be a common security thread in the Market I think developers need to also enact their own security to prevent priates. If there is one security procedure then it only takes one crack to take everything.
They will do like a DRM on the apks kind of like the iphone has now.
Honestly, anything they would do would probably be wasted time.
The iPhone anti-piracy mechanisms have been defeated recently, and whatever Google would put forth would likely be taken apart. There's just no way to prevent it, same as the problems that other platform developers have experienced.
There will always be people who pay for their apps, and there will always be people who pirate them, and very little can be done to prevent that.
It'll probably be something like every time an app is bought it is signed with an encrypted code that is given to each individual phone and coupled with a single application.
However, would each app have a different algorithm or would it all be one big pot.
Either way..
That would work rather well
Unfortunately for me though.

XD That made me laugh.
I agree. Remember though, there's not THAT many rooted users out there. I think that as long as the apps are priced reasonably, they'll be fine.

Android appDeck??

i remember using that site to download apps and stuff, anyone know what happen our fave site? or anything knows one similar?
thank you

Our favourite site? Some people believe dev's should be paid for their work...
You're gonna get in trouble for this.
Damn right... if you want an app bad enough, you should pay the dev who made it for you!
How do you guys know that he is talking about pirated apps? He didn't say anything about that in his post.
BUT
If you are talking about pirated apps then really dude? Come on, most are a couple cents or a couple dollars tops which is a great price for all the that devs time and helps to insure that you get more updates and maybe more apps from him/her. Skip the restaurant that day and eat home and you can buy a couple apps that you'll get enjoyment out of a lot longer than that food. Just my opinion...
some people don't have credit cards or debit cards... Regardless I believe in supporting devs any way possible. ;] ;] ;]
I'm not going to criticize the guy because I can't say I've never "downloaded" an app for my PC or anything like that.
However, you should always have a look with android. It's "different" if you don't have money to pay for an app then the majority of the time you can find a similar one for free which does exactly the same thing. I find in a lot of cases Developers have a "free version" which is ad supported, that doesn't bother me and I just pick the free version.

Thats why u use Market Enabler....lol
Why's everyone so quick to hate on this guy, he just asked if there was a site where he could download android applications. Never said anything about pirated ones.
AndroidAppDeck yes had some pirated applications, but they also had free ones on their page as well.
As Daneshm90 mentioned, you might wanna search for the Market Enabler. If thats not an option there are sites like www.anda.pk that has a handful of apps you can D/L to your PC and install on your phone. If I come across any others I'll let you know.
So how about we actually answer this guys question and point him towards a legitimate solution rather than play finger pointer.
However as a developer myself (not of android), I will say if youre looking for pirated apps dont bother asking here.
there is this saying if you cant buy it...you dont need..lol
blapk Market and applanet
It´s open, called blapk market, now: blapkmarket(dot)com (they ask for a registration, takes a couple of days to approve)
Also there´s the applanet that don´t need registration, works better and has the same interface as the original Market app: applanet(dot)net/applanet
I have both, in case i can´t find an app in one i look into the other one.
PS.: Support the developers, if you download a paid app from there contact the developer to find a way to compensate him for his work. (they use to accept off-market payment)

How to get rid of ads on the aria?

Hello all. I just picked up the my Aria a few days ago...love it because it is so small. I have rooted it(I believe/assume so) and Installed Liberated AriaB5 ROM
Now I am looking to get rid of those PESKY ads in every single app. I have done some research and it looks like the App AdFree works very well, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I downloaded it, when I open it, I grant it superuser perm, but when I try to update the hosts file, it doesn't seem to work. I either get an error message or the phone reboots. Any Ideas?
thanks,
Mike
The ads are there for developers to make money so that they can make those apps. If you really want to get rid of the ads then buy the programs. When you download many of the 'free' apps the developer is saying ok, but I will get some revenue from ads. Taking away their revenue is not going to help app innovation or invention.

I understand that and I sympathize with them. Nevertheless I'm sure you don't want to buy every game out there and I just find it incredibly annoying having ads while playing games, so are you saying there is no option for us Aria users to eliminate the ads with a program such as Adfree?
I don't know anything about adfree, but, just pay for the games then. What you are discussing you might as well steal the games. Most developers don't make their ads too intrusive so you have 2 options.
A)Pay for the games to get them ad free.
B)Deal with the ads on free games.
In all seriousness do you like getting paid for your work? You say you sympathize, but you want to get around the system. You are already using a 'Free' rom from attn1.
I suppose I will buy the ones where the ads really bug me and deal with the ads from the aps that when they aren't incredibly intrusive.
On the topic of do I like to get paid for my work...Yes. Of course. But as a working man we all know that there are several people who get around the system. These people are the minority. I am in NO WAY saything that it is moral or right, but when people for example find some way to get some free stuff from my bakery, they aren't the majority. and if they wouldn't have paid anyways, I figure what the hell...
I know I'm arguing against being a moral person and when posed the question: do you want to steal this? I would of course say no.... but, again, on the shallow surface, if there was an app that would eliminate the ads, myself and I feel comfortable saying that the majority of people on this forum where the great majority have no problem voiding their phone waranties would use the app.
but thank you for your input on this subject.

This is tricky and after about a week of trying to replace the /system/etc/hosts file I have given up. There is something going on with my Aria which makes modifying anything in /etc impossible. I wish I could figure it out only because it Should work but does not.

Anyone getting tired of people charging on craigslist to root/jailbreak?

I see this all the time and it really really bothers me. People that have done nothing other than read some forum posts that are readily available to anyone with an Internet connection are making money off of others hard work.
I just posted this to my local craigslist.
"Don't get scammed, all of the jailbreaking and rooting methods are available for FREE online.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Android+Root
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=iPhone+Jailbreak
The odds that someone willing to root or jailbreak your phone for cash and being the person that created the method are approximately 0.
I say this because the developers of these methods do it as a hobby and share with their community.
So please, before you spend money on something you can do easily and for free, do a quick Google search.
tags: iphone android HTC apple samsung LG Galaxy EVO Epic Touch root jailbreak repair t-mobile verizon sprint att at&t 4g 3g tablet iPad Xoom"
I'm working on getting a laptop so that I can host "Free ROOTing events" at local coffee shops.
If you're with me I implore you to do the same. If there's a good reason why I shouldn't have done this, please let me know what I'm missing.
The people doing this aren't selling drugs or snatching purses. Is there really something wrong with perusing a legal source of income?
Also, the more people out there with rooted devices the better.

Some people are scared to and would rather let someone else do it as they're scared they'll go wrong, I would say it's okay if they state somewhere it can be done yourself for free
Do you also have a problem with car wahing services? I mean you can do it yourself for free but some people still pay to have it done. Or what about home renovations? Why pay when you can Do it yourself? If a person can google for Unlock/root phone and find the person charging for it surely they must have passed over hundreds of DIY instructions in the process.

i think the op is right. theyre profiting off of someone elses work that is being used for profit UNKNOWINGLY
I don't mind them. I mean the people using these services are to stupid to do it themselves anyway, so they chose to pay. I repair computers, and have ads up, and usually you can do all of it yourself. I mean it's not that hard to do a fresh install of Windows.

But exploits have to be found, hours, if not days of work put into a root method for just ONE phone. That's not like just reinstalling windows, any schlep can do that.

BUt what we are talking about here is that it's ready to be done. Anyone can do it themselves with an internet connection. But they chose not to.
Thats the beauty of capitalism, if someone's willing to pay for a service, someone is willing to work and get paid to do that service.
Jordan is right, its the same as washing a car or installing windows. Plus we don't need more noob threads about how they botched the rooting process and bashing the devs because they didn't read the directions. Better to have someone who knows what their doing and get the job done right.

Which is why if a customer first tries to fix something himself, and THEN calls me, I charge them more if they messed something up.
It's not a scam.... It's a service....
Scam = people paying money to jailbreak a phone for you that doesn't actually jailbreak the phone....
Service = people don't know how or are afraid to jailbreak their phone in fear of bricking their device, or that don't have the expertise to do it themselves.
Personal recomdation, if you use craigslist find someone local, don't send off your phone.

Off Topic.......ADS.

I love XDA but it is getting annoying anymire with ads popping up all over everyrume I click something. Very evasive ads at that. I end up in the google play store every three clicks. I practicly live on this site. I have lernt so much here that i am evwn building my own ROM now. And I know the site needs a source of income to survive. But there has to be a way to keep it a bit less annoying and "IN YOUR FACE".
Please dont take thiabthe wrong way guys. I just wantwd to express a concern that I am sure many other people face. I know an AD blocker will solve the problem but still wanted to voice my opinion.
I love this site and some of the brightest minds in Android.
Happy Holidays guys.

What ads?
Most senior members or members most likley have ad blockers by now. But when you have a rom that does not include it or are new and dont know how to do anything, there are actually ALOT of ADs. When I forget to enable AD block, I am bombarded by ADs that get right in the way and take you to either the play store or a shady looking site. Dont know why those. But l8ke i said, if your blocked then its not an issue at all.

I have tried uing tapa, but i think i just am not right with it because it seems less than. Im sure its user error on my part and if i knew all it could do it would be great. I see many many people here use it. When I tried it though it didnt seem right. Guess i should try again.
You can either use an Ad Blocker extension for your browser.
Or you can get a title, once you get a title you can select an ad-free template.
