Charging issue...
I also sometimes get a charging issue, but only with some chargers and ROMs. I have a car charger which refuses to charge my phone but works fine with a Nintendo DS.

Why is everyone assuming software issue? Check your cable's condition, try another cable. Also try different chargers. Could even be the IC chip in the battery is malfunctioning only allowing very little current to the battery. Make sure you have a genuine battery! Another possibility is the USB port on the phone could be shot. They can be purchased off Ebay quite cheap and are a plug in type not a solder job which is handy, just need some patience=)
To be honest i have tried pretty much every rom/ kernel for the Inc s that has come out over the past year or so, but not one has caused a charging issue. hope this helps...

I'm in a bit of a pickle atm... My phone has now stopped charging altogether all of a sudden. one day it worked, the next it didn't.
I've changed battery, cable, ac adapter, and nope nothing worked. I had thought it was an app (Greenify), no idea how it could be an app, but i managed to uninstall that, and my phone charged..... but then when the battery was exhausted, it stopped working.
It's a strange problem. but i have bought another usb port for the phone, so fingers crossed that works, otherwise I'll be getting a new phone. I've been trying to decide between the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4, such a hard choice!!

Yes hopefully the port is the issue. Get HTC butterfly s, it ass woops the One

There are 2 variants (technically 3 if you include Droid DNA). The HTC J Butterfly really does kick ass (CAUSE ITS GOT THE MICRO SD SLOT ). Sadly, it only went to Japan. The equivalent of that except without SD Card went to Verizon as the Droid DNA. And the international version is just called the Butterfly but I don't think that has an SD Card slot. :/

"T" wont register when using 1500 OEM HTC Battery

So i bought a few of these batteries off of ebay and they are OEM HTC 1500maH batteries that come with the EVO. However when i put it in i cant press the letter T. i knwo this is happeneing due to pressure on the screen (its a little bigger than the 1300) but its weird cuz when i put the batteries in my moms incredible the problem doesnt happen. can someone please help me find a fix for this issue. its realllly annoying. and also i know it has nothing to do with the software cuz ive tried flashing multiple roms.
not sure if it has anything to do with it, but do you and your mom both have the same types of screens, or maybe one of you has SLCD, etc.?
I have an HTC Evo 1500 in my inc and T works for me. I'm AMOLED. Let us know what you've got.
I have an 1800 battery off of ebay and its a good bit bigger then the stock battery and everything still works
We all have AMOLED so i cant figure out why there should be a problem with just "my" phone
that's no fun man :/ just curious, what happens if you hold the phone horizontal?
Works perfectly fine. But I don't use landscape very much...

No problems with the Seidio 1750mah battery.
ok ive been using the stock battery due to the whole T not registering and i just got a siedio innocase 2 and popped it on my DI and the problem started happening with the 1300+ innocase! but now its even worse, the T, G and V wont register with the case on.. So im thinking about taking my phone into verizon and getting a replacement, but im not sure if they would give me a new phone because they might give me some its a 3rd party product bs and their not responsible for it... anyone have any suggestions on how i could get a replacement? lol
Well you said you noticed it when using an OEM battery... So obviously it's a problem with the phone.
Make sure you show them what happens when you try it on both you and your mom's Incredibles.
yeah im going to take them both in and show them. i should probably restore my stock backup and turn security back on before i take it in yeah?

That would probably be smart, yes.
so i brought it in showed them the problem and knowing how verizon reps are (they think wiping the data fixes everything) they just wiped the data, problem was still there and a new phone should be here tuesday. just crossing my fingers the same thing doesnt happen to the new phone.

Wow...this is indeed a bit worrying if it just died like that...
I'm not really that experienced, to be honest, I usually managed to fix things by putting it into download or recovery. I'm afraid that if even the JIG fails, then your only possible next step would be the Samsung service...hoping that the repairs cost less than a new actual device.
You can tell them something went wrong while updating through Kies, as I heard other people suggest, though I don't really know how well that would hold upon closer inspection...

Sssoorry to keep this thing going, but...I'm really curious about what on Earth could've happened *just like that*? I'm at my 3rd Android phone, had custom ROMs on everyone of them (now on imilka's CM9) and...I always figured that if they work now, they'll always work as long as I don't do anything stupid like flash an S2 firmware. Never imagined that the phone would simply refuse to turn on at one point...
Obviously, I think there had to be something in either the file system or partition system or...I don't know that changed and messed things up. Had some tricky situations with my Ace and with my Note as well, but got out of them with either recovery, or, at worst, download mode...
Maybe someone with a lot more knowledge about developing and ROMs might help me understand how/why things could go wrong like that

OTG Cable for Nexus S

Hello.
Im looking for OTG cable compatible with Nexus S. I've watched many videos but I don't know if to buy some 'no-name' otg or the one from Samsung - ET-R205. But I've heard that ET-R205 doesn't work sometimes with NS. What do you guys have? Thanks
Here is a cable for 3$ CLICK or this but a little more expensive.
Even if work is not so big problem. That is cheap enough
Both look like ET-R205, but I already found one at my local shop.
Thanks anyway
here you can find some really cheap ones:
Code:
ebay.de/sch/i.html?LH_BIN=1&_sop=15&_from=R40&_nkw=Micro+USB+OTG&LH_PrefLoc=2&rt=nc&clk_rvr_id=359695944656
using this http://www.ebay.com/itm/10cm-Micro-..._USB_Cables_Hubs_Adapters&hash=item19ce77ab97
dont need external power supply?
its only connect the usb pen and rocks?
Does the 3$ one work perfectly???
I mean does nexus s read any pen drive w/o any external power source or special kernel???

Any news about this?
Yeah I ordered somealready, should get it on Monday.. One guy who has Nexus S with OTG cable said that he had to use external power suply for his flash disk (not HDD), Im not entirely sure about that and will check it. I have an Y-cable if needed.. Will report back

Ok, so far no luck with anything. Tried pendrive, mouse, external HDD... The phone (app) recognizes that cable is OTG, so there shouldn't be a problem.. Im on AirKernel right now, might try matrix, but I doubt it will help since both have same files of OTG v5 from sztupy

I think you need a external power suply..
Because our Nexus dont have the Amp needed...
I use it! I have everything set up with Y cable, going to flash matrix kernel, hope it will work then
IT WORKS! muahahaha.. I dont know where was the problem, maybe in the external charger (I firstly used one with only 0,4A, not replaced with 1A) and I also used different Y cable..
Mouse Logitech MX400 worked flawless, also Logitech Rumblepad 2...
For pendrive, I had to use it in USB 1.0 hub, 2.0 doesn't work :/
/Also, expect few restarts and few hours configuring this

[Q] No response from my I9000. Not even battery chaging animation.

Hi all!
Today my phone just stopped at school for no reason. I checked the clock on it and after a few minutes I wanted to check it again, but this time I got no response from it. I thought it just freezed. So I pulled the battery out and put it back after a few mins. But no response. After I got home, I plugged it the wall charger, but nothing happened. No battery indicator, not even the little circle. Have you got any ideas what just happened to my phone?
is the model i9000 and not i9300?
Just wanted to make sure because I've had similar issues with i9300.
Nope. It's the first generation Samsung Glaxy S. The one with the AMOLED display not even the I9003, so the one with the S-LCD screen.

Should I try the USB JIG? Is there any way around ?

Usb-port charging issues, I think at least... Anyone recognize?!
