[Xperia V] 1900maH battery - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Want a better battery but not the giant mugen power one? I noticed that the Xperia S BA 800 battery has the same specifications except it's 1900maH instead of the V's 1750maH. See here: http://www.tvc-mall.com/details/Son...eplacement-1900mAh-Model-BA800-BATY-LT26i-01/
Just got mine today and it's been working well so far, will update in case it blows up.

Nice!
If you could, please, make a small review later, about the longevity, charging time, etc, it would be great!

Sure no prob! However, it will take several days of overcharing and draining to figure out the actual capacity. On my first discharge now, at 90% with 32 minutes screen time @ 60% brightness.
edit: hit 1 hour screen time with 81% remaining. I am just texting/web surfing.

****ing thing just turned off at 30% :/
hope it can be calibrated

It won't get any better, thats for sure. Just check this post (it's in german only):
http://www.android-hilfe.de/sony-xp...ead-fuer-das-sony-xperia-v-4.html#post5645646
There you can see the same battery and some charts. Just what I read there:
Assuming the original Sony BA800 has true 1700mAh this one has only about 1400mAh (based on runtime comparison).
This battery goes from 20% => Off always and therefore is not reliable.
This battery has a faked CE logo so it must not be selled in Europe (officially)

Runtime is basically the same for me- about 3 hours screen time and then it shuts off weather it's the chinese fake or the sony original

batteries that claim to have more capacity than the original usually don't turn out to be, especially ones from ebay. Nevertheless, if they're cheap, there's no harm in having extra backup

I'm in the same situation as the thread creator. I want a bigger battery, but not to big. Suggestions?
I found a 1900 mAh on ebay, but can't post it here because I'm a new user :silly:

thats cool! I will check it out and try it soon!

i got mine too from ebay. took 1 month to deliver to India from hong kong. working good and it didnt turned off in the middle. tested successfully till it switches off. i didnt noticed the extra 200 mAh power than the 1700 mAh battery. i should say the original one is slightly better but even though i can admit i got two 1700 mAh batteries

If you did get a low cost battery from China which has similar to OEM capacity call yourself lucky.

extended batteries

Speaking as someone who uses their phone pretty darn constantly, I'm in need of a battery that lasts a bit longer than the stock.
currently, Seidio is selling an extended battery (I would link, but as a noob I'm not able to..) 1750 mAh - no new door required, but only a gain of 450 mAh..
Verizon has stated there's a 2150 mAh extended battery coming, but that will almost certainly require a new back plate.
Anyone spotted any other compatible batteries yet?
I ordered the Seidio one and while it fits behind the stock cover it also adds a bit of weight, which is great considering how light this bad boy is.
Seidio is also going to release a 3500 mAh battery in the near future! According to their website, it adds 3-5 mm of width. But for the extra battery I think it will be worth it. The only problem is I am debating on purchasing this because I had one for my tilt and well it flat out sucked after a month of use.
what do you mean it flat out sucked after a month, the thickness or the capacity of the battery?
The battery itself would barley last a day if I was lucky. Seidio just said it needed to charge like 8 times before it was full. It didn't kick in. Is this rare?

Did you let it fully drain till the phone died, and keep turning the phone on until it wont turn on anymore. Then charge it fully, unplug when it is fully charged, let it get back down to 90-95%, then fully charge again, let die & repeat. Do that a few times and your battery life should be better. This is what I do whenever I get a new phone...
We use LiION Batteries, No special charging required
OK, to start, there is NO NEED to do any special charging conditions with Li Ion batteries, it does not matter how they are charged. A standard battery will have between 400 and 1200 charge cycles before it loses 50% of its capacity (1200 if you charge at 50%, 400 if you charge at 0-10%, like when the phone quits on you). Ni Cadmium on the other hand does require special charging situations but we don't use them in cell phones because of the mass. You can do take the advice of the previous post, but if you do that I would suggest sacrificing a virgin symbian phone or doing a handstand while plugging in your phone to charge. That might increase the battery life too.
Secondly, I spoke with Verizon, and their 2100 mA extended battery will be available soon and it is supposed to fit with the stock backing, probably the best way to go if you ask me, only $60 too. I am checking their site almost daily waiting for this to become available since like many, I need more battery life, I find that I can barely make it through the day without being conservative with the use, and that's on a work day when I'm not on it that much, on the weekends I have to charge it in the afternoon.
If you want to save on battery, turn down the screen brightness, chose a background with as few colors as possible, the more black the less battery you will use since its an AMOLED, blacks mean there is no power being used on the screen. Turn off your GEO locations services both on the phone settings and in programs that run a lot. This will easily save you 25-30% battery life.

I was at a Verizon store yesterday asking about it and they showed me their documentation. Their extended battery will come with a new back cover that is slightly raised to fit the larger battery.
I'm waiting for this too because it looks like it will be the most aesthetically pleasing option.
Too bad the guy had NO idea when the accessories were going to become available. Ugh.

Verizon doesn't trust their employees very much - to prevent leaks, they don't tell people about equipment/accessory release dates til within about two weeks of the actual release. The Incredible launch announcement had one of the longest announcement to release times I've seen the the last two years.

I used my OEM TP2 battery which is rated @ 1500 mah last me now to the end of the day with moderate use.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230439043798&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
for those with budget oem tp2 only $14.99 and fits in original back cover
i got my seido battery yesterday and it lasted me all day and I used it more than I usually do just to see what it could do... 1.5 hours of slacker radio at the gym... games and internet for an hour at work while on break... several phone calls and I'm still at 40% battery... and it says it gets better after 5 or 6 charges on the box...

$14.99 + free shipping for a battery that lasts all day from moderate use? This sounds great and I'm ready to buy it now! ... But is it safe to use this battery with an Incredible?

I dont know, but my seideco 1750 def gets me 3 more hours a day on my Incredible. I have switched back and forth from stock and the extended...the extended wins EVERYTIME...so Im not sure about that report.
@ suzook
I read that my OEM TP2 rated as one of the best.
TP2 OEM standard issue Rated @ 1500mAh Tested @ 1414mAh
Most Likely our stock incredible battery has a lower mAh then it actually states it is.
@ Xxq TZ pxX
Yes it will work because its in my phone now working like a champ ;O)
I also told someone else here like myself who swapped from the tp2 ====> incredible and he seen it first hand as-well.
TP2 batteries work fine
Hey all,
The TP2 battery works fine. Same size and 200mAh more than stock... in fact I've seen them sold on Fommy.com as the thin extended battery for $44.95. Don't be fooled, and just go buy the TP2 batteries. They're cheaper if you don't need the therapy session of a rebranding.
Enjoy!
P.S. Got a workaround for Skype too...
I'm sure a number of HTC CDMA phones have interchangeable batteries.
I swapped out the 1500mAh battery from my Sprint Hero and put it into my Incredible. It's easily out lasting the stock incredible battery.
I ordered the 1500 HTC battery as well. Between those to staying charged I am not worried about it.
Also anyone know of a battery charger for these types of batteries?
For those of you that want a red 1500mah battery I found this but im not sure if its oem or not it just says its an htc extra capacity battery hxxp://shop.htcpedia.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=825

LOL that thing is huge!! It doesn't look that comfortable. I just bought a second battery as a back up. I figure that since I am pulling out my battery to reset the phone once or twice every day that I would make sense to have a fully charged battery in case I was low on juice or something.

Does the kickstand feel pretty sturdy? And, does it "snap" into fully-open/fully-closed positions, or does it travel freely between them?
Does anyone have any news on when the extended life SLIM battery will be released, either by SEIDIO or MUGEN POWER? I'd like more battery life but not that huge back.
*EDIT* Found one from Mugen Power.. only and extra 70 mAh.. not sure if it's worth it but I might buy.

i heard that HTC HD2 Extended Battery BP E400 will not fit HD2 TMOUS version very well and i am looking for someone to confirm this for me ?
Well im bored in my class. So i guess, ill write up this review.
First off, I purchased andida battery off ebay, and is a very well known, i believe korean battery maker. It took two weeks from Hong Kong for me to receive the battery. Second, i did proper break-in for the battery, about 5-6full charge & discharges. The OEM battery barely lasted the entire day for me, i disconnect from the charger at 9 A.M., and by 8:30, im at 1%!! With the new battery, the same goes, but by 8:30, im at 15%, and will die by about 10ish. I have the phone set for push email, and the bulk of my email comes in about between 10am & 2pm. The Sense updates are set to 4 hour updates & im constantly connected to 3G. The phone never sees a charger in between 9AM & 10pm. Hopefully this sheds some light about this battery.
Reply: No memory loss. mAh, see below.

I'm using the 2600mah Mugen extended battery and I gotta say its a huge improvement. I work 10 hour shifts and I use to leave work with only about 30-20% left and now I'm at 65-70% at the end of shift. I use it as a router a couple times a day, listen to a couple songs, and look stuff up online. I was real timid about using my phone at all cuz it would kill my battery, but now I have no problems with heavy usage. It does take a couple charges to really unlock the batteries full capacity.

Ordered the same battery. Have had it about a week and a half, and I'm only by my third charge. The only complaints I have so far are the 4-5 12 hour charges that the instructions say you should do initially (thankfully I only have 2 more charges to go); and the battery cover included is flimsy. It pops off with the slightest touch. Might be just a defect on mine, but maybe others can confirm this. Good thing I had another cover that stays on.

New Extended Battery "possibly" 3'500 mAh + External Charger - "Update 10.16.2011"
Just recieved my new extended battery with extended back door for my Milestone 1. Bought it from here:
www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180686832371&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:CH:1123
It took a good month to arrive from china to europe, but it's finally here.
It weighs 47 gramms vs 27 gr for the standard BP6X and is twice as thick.
Can't say much about the accuracy of the amperage as I just fully recharged it with the external charger I ordered from here:
www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250859367106&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:CH:1123
As you can see it's quite cheap and although ordered on the same day as the battery, it arrived 3 weeks before..! (About 10 days after my order). It's working very good and sports also a usb port (5.2 Volts and 800 mA output) at the end for standard charging. I haven't tried yet which of the battery or the device will be charged first, though. Will report about it later.
I'll also report about real life battery time in a few days, after testing.
I'm still very happy with my good ol' milestone 1 (european droid 1), and although it's a little short on memory, latest CM 7.1 developpements make it very fast and usable.
Edit: Just tried to charge through the usb port of the charger, it doesn't work. I guess 800 mA is not enough, had the same issue with other car/home chargers. I think motorola's ones have 1A output. Even my Galaxy Tab's isn't powerfull enough... What a Milestone Beast!
Edit 2: Battery has reach 10% after 31 hours of standard use. As I though, real intensity most be around 2800 mAh and not 3500 mAh as stated. But it's still around 2x what we can expect from the original one. I run my Milestone on CM7.1 ROM and 1800MHz network.
Edit 3: I'm experiencing the "1% battery left" effect of some other devices' extended batteries for about 9 hours now! So until now It's been working for more than 40h. I tried to switch the phone of and back on again, but still 1% left and red led blinking (on some devices it makes it measure the value of the second cell, I guess, and brings it back to about 90%. Don't ask me why... It happens on my Dell Streak 5). I hadn't had this with my Xperia X10, where the energy left of my extended battery was accurate.
Final edit: worked for a good 48 hours. I must add that I put my phone during night time in Airplane mode (about 16 hours, but with some wifi surfing).

Nice one.

which charger do u use for charging the new battery through ur device's standardnusb port?
I charged it first with the external charger, as I think it's the best way to be sure that the whole battery is thouroughly and fully charged. But since first charge I also recharged it through the device's microusb port, which seems to work fine.
Since my first post, I also recieved my second extended battery:
www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190572457987&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:CH:1123
It looks almost the same as the first one, except the font used on the sticker is smaller and the price is cheaper.
I'm testing its power time right now, expecting it to be close to the one of its siebling.
I had also ordered a standard sized 1870 mAh battery from here:
www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150585920125&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:CH:1123
Problem with this one is it doesn't show battery status on the phone, as the mAh level can't be determinated by the phone. Will check with the seller what can be done (problem only with my battery?)
I saw another standard 1800 mAh battery for sale ($ 10.-), maybe will give it a try, seller seems more serious.
Sent from my Milestone using XDA App
Some updates about my second extended battery: I now have had a full discharging/charging cycle (in the phone itself) and it seems that the battery is now calibrated. My updated "Battery Monitor Widget" shows me now 2885 mAh for the full capacity and the phone gives apparently the right power status. Real life use time seems the same as my first extended battery, about 48 hours.

How can you even put your Milestone in your pocket?? The battery door looks HUGE
Right now I'm using this battery:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130579480018&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:1123
it has cca 80% of the original battery capacity, however it is much better then the other chinese battery I've owned in milestone, (I think) it supports the 1% mod, and it did cost me $1.89 delivered to my place.
I always take the old original battery and the dying chinese battery in my bag in case this new dies. I will get probably the same power-on hours count as with this extended battery yet with smaller package.

Yes, please do post some updates and reviews.
I am only aware of 3300mAh [HLI-A855XL] by Mugen for Motorola Milestone which have good reviews.
it works fine

The best slim battery. Ever.

Let's say there are two types of removable phone batteries:
1.SLIM
These are the batteries which just fit straight into the phone without a bigger back cover needed, just like nature (the manufacturers) intended.
They can be extended, and offer a greater capacity, but their physical size remains the same.
then there's...
2. CHUNKY
The bigger batteries which offer a much greater potential capacity but also need a bigger back cover. They make you look at your phone and think "does this make my phone look fat?".
Of course, people are generally accepting of plus sizes nowadays, but slimmer is more practical, in the sense of a phone, right?
Anyway *clears throat*, I bought one of each of these, both being extended.
Firstly, I bought a chunky one, 3500MaH. I'm not sure if it's the phone, or the fact that the battery was el cheapo ($6 AUD), but it seemed liked the stock battery with nothing but an extra weight attached
Then, I purchased a slim one, the infamous gold '2430' MaH battery.
I wouldn't be surprised it was actually 1430 MaH, for it was worse than stock (1500MaH).
The point of this thread is to ask you which of the SLIM extended batteries (NO CHUNKY, ONLY SLIM) is the best you have ever used?
And may you also provide a price / link?

how much they changed your motherboard?? trough warranty?? :fingers-crossed:
I would normally always go stock, its safer. even for the little extra money, your getting something sure to work and be safe and tested well.
I'm currently using / testing Battpit Battery you can buy on Amazon.co.uk after the 3rd charge cycle it tested and averaged out to 1740mAh or so, and under heavy use it turned out about 10 hours on almost constant use. i was very impressed.
i'm currently still doing my standby minimum use test for the past couple days and its still going.
heres a link for the battery i bought

so far my tests have found it to be worth the buy. the capacity and charge have been as labeled, and the battery performance so far is going well.

I've ordered a 1800 mAh from ebay. Will report later on the differences with stock battery. Be sure to always charge your phone completely and only charge when battery drops bellow 20% or so, this will lead to a better condition of the battery.
Bought a "gold 2430mAh" battery.
I will edit my post in 2 days to do a feedback
Remember to do a calibration of the batterie to increase performances : Here is the app
EDIT : Yep, it tooks me 2 yearsq to do the tests... Seriously, thoses "gold" battery are totally fake. The battery did'nt handle 2 charges and wasn't better than the original battery.
As I wrote in the other battery thread...stock battery format with better Li-Ion technology, or Li-Pol could give maximum of 1800 mAh. This is a realistic number, I recently bought a Mugen extended battery and it seems to have given 1700 mAh. But all these golden batteries...:cyclops:

anyone even find a REAL Li-Poly battery for our phone? cause the ones that claimed they were that i tried looking for turned out to be bogus after getting a full data sheet from the suppliers. i'm just curious, if there is a real Li-poly battery.
Any updates guys?.
I want a new battery now it last like 15h with 2g and data. Every thing els off... 2ha2h30 screen on.
and at home with wifi on i get lile 20h with 3h screen on....
But its not that bad but i had a samsung befor. And on 3g it lasted the hole day. I wouldent even try that with this one... let 3g on hole day... no wifi. Than inwill need to charge it in the middle of the day....
So the 2430mah gold battery is it any good?. Or should i get 2 , 1600 mah batteries with external charger?.
I could use some good battery life so i can browse the web. Like now i can do much on 2g....
But what i found out is if you put it in flight mode doesnt drop a thing in 1 2 3h even 4h. More. But when celular on its so ****ty....

Battery usage
Hey there!
Ive tried every Rom on this forum, (almost ) but all gave me the same battery issue. (Only the 20s based roms where pretty Good!) Ive found not any ICS rom compatible with 3G and a good battery life. Tobad, but for me its a fact. The P990 is not designed for using with 3G, just drains the battery in les then 3 ours!
I also tried a lot of baseband and Ril versions, there where a few who does made a difference, but not that big.
Right now I using the 20s baseband. just because of my experience in the past.
For me the big difference is how you configure your processor. Which schedular and which governor. I tried a lot of combination, right now Im using schedular conservative with the ZEN governor, this combination gives me a really good battery usage. (4% drain in 8 ours @1200 Mhz @ night @ wifi )
Ive disabled 3G on my phone, only 2G. tobad, but only way to have a good battery life.
I also tried new batteries, the Big one 3500 Mah, not any improvements, the 1950 andida battery is a good one. but they all are not worth the money compared with the less battery usage improvements,
Hope this helps a little in the search for a bettery battery life with our phone.

WyCkson

Hi,
just want to say that I have a good expirience With a PEAK Performance 3300mAh, cost ~ 14€ with cover. Now can I use it ~ 2days.
Sometimes the phones turns into a pocket heater that kills every battery, espesially if there are many apk's installed (around 120 up, TB-List)
I Had this problem with every ROM, and also with Stock battery and a new device.
greets,
Miraculix

LG G4 Battery Guide

READ THIS BEFORE READING FURTHER: THE NUMBERS LISTED AFTER THE BATTERIES ARE EBAY LISTING NUMBERS, JUST TYPE THE NUMBERS INTO THE EBAY SEARCH BOX TO FIND THE BATTERIES
-HOW TO TEST SCREEN ON TIME (SoT)- (Note that I do not recommend any type of battery waster app, they get your phone way to hot)
**Feel free to contribute to this post. Screen On Time's are done by taxing your phone for hours on end, examples of this are watching youtube videos nonstop, watching movies, surfing the internet, ect.. I personally run youtube videos by "Ollie Duracell" that are an hour long each, fullscreened with an actual video not a picture(you dont want display burn in), one after the other at full volume. Brightness at 60%, I use lower 60% brightness just so my phone doesn't get hot. I turn GPS on at max(high accuracy setting), just so I have more battery drain. And I use WiFi instead of the 4glte for data. **
-BATTERY LIFE CONSERVATION-
To save battery life after testing your battery, you could simply lower brightness even more(i actually leave it at 60%), and disable GPS(disabling GPS will get you at least an hour more on battery life). Oh and one more note, I charge my original battery and extended batteries normally while still in the phone. There are theories that you have to use an external charger to get 100% battery life, but I do not believe that to be true. I can get 5hrs screen on time out of the original LG battery when turning off GPS. Also, LG original battery is not good quality, if you do the math, these batteries out perform it comparing MAH to MAH.

Thanks for this Guide and for including me in it. The sad thing is I don't get good signal here so only WiFi. I'm sure someone could calculate my runs with LTE use
Edit: the TQTHL brand is good. They have remade there branding colors to a more darker Blue than the old light blue color (post a pic in a bit)

How is the TQTHL battery performing over time? Does it still retain its original capacity?
Because my chinese 4000mah battery used to work great for couple days and then started losing capacity to the point where after little more than 1 month it's useless
Well my 4500 still works but I'll need at least 5 more runs with the 5000

May I ask you what's your average SOT with the 4500mah now after some time has passed?

I'll let you know by tomorrow afternoon
Edit: Just so you know I'm back on 5.1 cause during my time on 6.0.1 i found that my Batteries no longer worked correctly but on 5.1 they work fine again. Now idk if it' MM or a bug in my motherboard (which i doubt cause i changed my phone once) or a bug within MM
Newb question, but do you need to be rooted to calibrate the battery with a different mah than the stock size? Or will draining it and recharging it a few times work just as well? Thanks!

Yeah I think the OS has the mah locked @3000 cause I need to use the battery widget to edit the mah but no root is required. The wedgit is on my thread first post
Just so you know it don't actually edit the mah in the OS Kernel just the App
Here's my 4500mah. Now below it all depends on what you do but for me I don't game at all. Just YouTube and site seeing

Is the OS properly reading battery capacity or is it stuck at 3000mAh? I mean, going from 100% to 14% did you consume 3870mAh (out of 4500) or 2580mAh so you still have almost 2000 available?
Thanks in advance
Nope it's locked @3000 and yes I'd say so. I'm on my 8200mah right now. Some pics later on for battery consumption

Just to be clear: you think you used only 2580mAh (86% of 3000) so you still have 2000 left even if it says 14%?
Thanks again

No No I think I had maybe 1500mah left or something similar to that
It would be interesting if we could set the battery capacity to 4500mAh with root... Do you know if it's possible?
So far they are saying its not possible. You have to change a kernal in the programming code to change the MAH capacity, and no one can find out on how to do it. Someone was trying to get in touch with a coder from LG but so far its a no go as I understand.
Yeah I'd say give up on that and just use the battery widget app

Oh I see, what a pity... Does that battery widget correctly read extended battery's capacity?

umm I actually don't know really. I just edit the mah and go from there
Just bought a export h815 set. The battery isnt impressive at all. Didnt manage to get even 3hours SOT. Even flash from mm to lolipop and didnt see much improvement. Is it hardware issue with the phone itself or just the battery. ( change the battery and see slight improvement).
It's mainly due to high screen resolution and the cpu/gpu. Just saying a guy who don't game at all and especially the high resolution on a 5.7 inch screen? Come on 720p is all we really need. I don't game so can't say on that behalf
