[Q] keeps shutting down. - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Hey,
I was running CM10 fine for a few days. Then I decided to try out Trickdroid 1.0.0, which was supposed to be the rom for the google edition of the HTC One. After I installed the Zip, it would only boot into the fastboot menu and I had to reintall TWRP.
Now I've reinstalled CM10 and the phone keeps shutting down after it boots up, usually about 5 seconds.
I've tried formatting all the cache's, any ideas?

If I'm not mistaken, the Google Edition is a GSM phone and Trickdroid is a GSM ROM. It won't work on a Sprint CDMA phone.

Damn man you flashed a GSM Rom on a CDMA device, your lucky your phone wasn't bricked. Your best bet would probably be to flash the Sprint RUU and then flash a CDMA Rom.

You overwrote your radio partition. So flash a new radio in fastboot, flash recovery, flash CDMA Rom.

Yeah the RUU fixed it.
thanks,
Bob

OTA Update = Fastboot only. :-(

The OTA update to Froyo seems to have bricked my (Sprint) Sanyo Zio.
I can only get to fastboot - no regular boot whatsoever.
Factory reset does not help. "Modem Download Mode" does not help.
I'm thinking that, from fastboot, I can just re-flash the original image, right?
Does anyone have this image?
We'll that depends on which image is borked really.
I think you'd be better off taking your phone into sprint and having them fix it.
I'd send you my cricket images, but I'm sure they will not work without major problems.

Sadness
Well, my carrier is actually Credo Mobile, not Sprint, although they use Sprint hardware and network connections.
I called them and it didn't seem promising. They are supposed to call me back tomorrow - on what phone I'm not sure.
I'm still really hoping that somebody here has the image files for me to flash. I can't believe they aren't provided by the manufacturer or the carrier or somebody.
You might be out of luck. If you know anything about how to use Modem Download Mode. I'm sure you could switch to CricKet and they could do the flash in store.

Modem Download Mode does nothing on Credo / Sprint
I tried Modem download mode. The progress bar makes its way up to 100, then the phone reboots with the same problem.
My assumption is that this mode just doesn't do anything on Sprint.

If you're trying to use a cricket rom on a sprint phone it won't work m8.
I've tried to use sprint's old 2.1 images on my cricket phone to no avail

There is a sprint zio forum here at xda and perhaps there is a dumped 2.1 stock rom available or you could Google for one.
I'm quite sure that there are tools available on the net to reflash to 2.1.
Sprint forum?
I can't seem to find the sprint forum or the image file, google as I may.
Can you throw me a link to the sprint forum?

I downloaded rom file from forumxda-developers/showthread.php?p=12678820#post12678820
then I copied they recovery to sdk tools folder
just type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
wait
then fastboot reboot
Started again!
Hope it works for you

Thanks! can I manually push the system.img file through fastboot? My phone turns on and boots up but everything is blank with a dim light.
You should be able to yes, but to avoid system errors I would use cwm to restore.
Just unzip the file to "/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/" and choose restore from cwm.

I updated the phone with the 2.000CR.5_HW0104.msi utility but it still stuck at the Kyocera screen.
I got it back up and running. I used clockwork from your other thread and wiped everything and the phone booted up. Thanks a lot.
Just so you know that Microsoft updater is for cricket only. M6000 not SCP-860

Messed Phone Up Question About T-Mobile

I messed my phone up tonight and got it stuck in a bootloop since there is currently no RUU out I'm left with no choice but to go back to the store. Does anyone know if T-Mobile stores have the stock RUU and can restore it?

Hold volume down while it bootloops. I guarantee you'll make it into hboot.

If your problem is transferring files, can you not go to recovery and use usb-ms (while attached to the computer) which will then open the memory of the phone on the computer. That's what I did to transfer stock ruu when I recently bricked my evo 4g.

I'm currently in the process of trying to push a nandroid backup to the device via adb. The problem is that there's no stock ruu for tmobile as of yet so the only choice I have is to recover via a nandroid.

no success at all, I'm gonna head to the tmobile store here in a few and see what I can get worked out
I just came back from the bell store, and they said that they could exchange me for a new one but they don't have any in stock until Tuesday.
I soft bricked my nexus devices dozen times in the past few years, and was easily restored to stock. Lesson learned by me, never root a non nexus device within 1 week of its release.

Why even bother? Just push a ROM, wipe system and data, then flash it.
You don't need a ruu. What did you do to get into a bootloop.

are you on a 4.3 rom? elementalx 5.2 is meant for 4.3 sense edition. If you are on 4.2.2 or 4.1.2 or GPE you need a different version.
edit: also version 5.4 is out, you should try that...

[Q] Sprint htc one stuck radio problems flashed kernel in ViperOne 3.1 RC2 venom hub

I"am in some bad need of help really bad I running viperone 3.1 RC2 on my sprint htc one and I installed the one kernel through the venom hub and it booted to twrp and installed then rebooted. I left it for about 10 minutes and then started using it and it booted while using it, phone is all messed up keeps bootlooping. Tried using a back up and will load for about 3 minutes then boot again, does this non stop. Tried many other roms all just bootloop non stop only one is my back up that will run a few minutes which its elegancia 17.0.0 but this all happened on viperone 3.1 RC2 downloading and installing the one kernel in venom hub. My radio is stuck I think, cant turn radio on or off, its off but has option in 4636 to turn it off. Have tried many things noting fixes the problem. Also meid and prl both show unavailable. This is a sprint htc one flashed to straight talk. Xda wont let me post on your rom page otherwise I would post there. If anyone can help please ?

[Q] Need help beginner

I have rooted my HTC one. I did install a custom rom using twrp Download Android 4.4 KitKat Sense 5.5 Stock ROM (odexed) for HTC One.
It said it succeeded but never booted into system. Maybe I didn't wait long enough. At that point I used twrp to restore my back up. The backup succeeded but my data service does not come on and the phone is rebooting over and over.
Should I factory reset? Can I? Should I install another rom? Need some help.

You probably flashed a GSM ROM. Only use ROMs which are made for sprint. The only 4.4 sense ROM for Sprint right now is ElipticOne.

Thanks I will look at the info. The thing is is I have a backup. Why is twrp not restoring a working backup? It created the backup from a working system. Not sure why it succeeds in restoring but gets stuck in a reboot cycle without a data connection. The wifi works as long as the phone is not rebooting. It works for about a minute before it reboots.
