Hi,i was trying to install CWM last night and i bricked my phone.I had to flash the ROM again to get it to work.
After i flashed it again,i tried to install CWM again, but it bricked.
Whatever i tried,i couldn`t get my Jelly Bean flashed again,so i was forced to flash ICS in the end to get the phone to work.
The problem is...now i can`t connect my phone to the pc while in S/W mode,so i can`t get my Jelly Bean back.
I can connect it normally when it`s turned on,but as soon as i enter S/W mode,it won`t connect to the pc no matter what i do.
Anyone have an idea on how to fix this and how to get my Jelly Bean back?

Are you sure if you installed proper USB drivers? Btw you need to unlock your bootloader, root your phone and THEN install a CWM, otherwise you'll brick it.Try LG mobile support tool, it usually gets you into S/W mode itself, I kind of had the same problem before, in S/W mode my phone couldn't be detected, but when LG mobile support tool got me into S/W mode, It worked.
How did you actually flash ICS? Did you delete JB before doing that?

Take out the battery, press vol- and connect the device. Probably won't work but, after that, put back the battery, press vol- and connect the device.
Now it should work again

First, ICS, work very well.
The problem is when i go to recovery menu, in all options say "can't mount.... log" or something
And when i go to run ICS in the display only appears "SAMSUNG GALAXY S", an don't boot, and i flash other recovery with Download mode in odin and the same message, "can`t mount...."
suddenly the phone don't turn on.
Now the phone can't turn on, can't enter in download mode and recovery menu.
And i tried JIG, and don't work...
Any Idea ????
hallo i also sent you a PM
did you tried the hardware dongle ? it's a little USB plugin, modified that take your phone into dowload mode
i solved with that some month ago
Any idea ???
Indeed maybe you could try a usb jig, weird that it wont turn on..
I've seen this issue once after a failed Kies update. Unfortunately nothing helped to revoke the phone... Not even the JIG :-(
We were fortunately able to get the device replaced by Samsung.
As this has happened with a non warranty destructing update provided by Samsung you may be able to pretend it happened during a Kies update to get the device replaced.
Good luck!
Are you sure that your phone didn't just run out of battery?
Hi people!
I got bricked my galaxy mini gt-s5570, but not totaly (that means I can still use the download mode, and RAMDUMP ARM9 mode) but I can't power up the phone. That happened after I used ODIN for gt-s5570 and changed the Kernel (I forgot to make backup before), and device was working well with the new kernel, but after it I use the same step in ODIN to get back to the old one. So the result is, when I'm pushing the power key the screen starts to blinks and nothing more! But as I say download mode, and ARM9 mode are still working. Any solution for this?
just download the new firmware from samfirmware.com n flash it thru odin as u can go to download mode..n ur phone will be back to life again..
i accidently pressed thanks on ur first post
I can't, I don't have access to recovery mode, it doesn't work!
Explainations

Hello, I was trying to root and install the CM7 on my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830B. The root and the cwm installation processes worked with no problems, but when I installed the CM7 it just turned off and won't turn on again.
I can't flash a stock ROM via Odin cuz the pc won't recognize the device. It won't turn on in normal mode, downloading mode nor bootloader.
What can I do to solve this issue, please?
Thank you!

Which ROM You have flashed? If You can´t go to Recovery or Download mode, try USB JIG, if not work with JIG, I am sorry Your phone is bricked.
If Your phone can´t nothing try put out battery, connect Your Ace with usb cable (without battery), open odin, hold 3 buttons for download mode (vol.down+home+power) and WITH holding buttons put back baterry. If in Odin You can see yelow oblong with COM, You can now try flash new stock rom.

I tried installing Cyanogenmod 7.2. And err, is there any other way of trying to restore the phone instead of the USB JIG, cuz I don't have any. :/
I've already tried to go on the download mode by the steps you just said (power button+vol up./down + home), but the phone seems to be dead, it won't turn on in normal mode, download mode nor recovery. As the phone won't start in the download mode, i'm not able to flash anything via ODIN.
Is there anything else I could try? What if I try to flash STOCK ROM via ADB to SD CARD using ANOTHER CELLPHONE?
Thanks for helping.
Ah, another important info is that I think the phone "died" with the USB Debugging deactivated, so I think that's why the ADB can't recognize the device, right?

Hello, this is my first post, but no one cares. Right?
I have a little story... Today I tried to Upgrade from CM 10.1 to CM 10.2 but I had a little problem. Because I wanted to have a fresh instalation I first tried to flash with ODIN 3.0.4 official 2.3.6. In the middle of instalation... I had a power outage for 5 seconds. Now my problem is:
1. It can't enter Recovery;
2. It can't enter Download Mode;
3. It can't boot System.
When i plug the usb cable, it shows me this message: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies and try again. ", but that's a little strange because I don't even have Kies installed on PC. This is the only scree I can see.
I don't know how, but somehow I entered Download Mode for 5-10 seconds, but my PC doesn't recognize my phone. After that the phone just shuted down.
I already browse all topics about soft brick, but nothing helped me...
Before take my phone to a service, what are my other choices?

I can't enter Download Mode and I haven't KIES installed.
Since you had a power outbreak during Odin flashing, it might not fully flash the bootloader (boot.img file), or the fat.bin file, both of them are essential for proper phone operation.
Install Kies, and try the recovery mode in it, see if it works.
Also, try to charge your battery, maybe this will help somehow.
If nothing works, service is your only option, as you cannot manually repair a partially flashed boot.img or fat.bin.
boot.img is not bootloader,
Boot.img is kernel

Well, I installed Kies.
I can't use "Emergency firmware recovery" because my PC doesn't recognize my phone.
I can't use "Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation". When I enter the details about my phone I get "'GT-S6500D' does not support initializing.".
I don't think I have other option in Kies...
Another problem:
My phone is absolutely unresponsive.
Maybe because of battery.
I can't charge it. I have a friend with S6500D...
I will try with he's battery.
Maybe I could try some tricks to enter in Download Mode. (God, please help me!!)
Instal drivers and go to download mode !

Sorry but your phone is hard bricked so you can't fix your phone yourself. You have to send it to samsung to fix it.The hard brick was caused by failed bootloader update. But if you have power surges i recommend you to flash your phone from a laptop.

Thanks for the advice.
Please ignore the link to stock firmware without bootloader because i did not know your phone was galaxy mini 2 because sometimes mini 2 questions are posted in mini 1.And i have both mini and mini 2.
If boot.img is not the bootloader (it's the kernel, I'm sorry for telling you wrong before), then why the Download Mode does not work?

It doesn't matter... I saw it was for Mini... Anyway download mode still not working so don't worry.
Thanks for the idea of stock firmwares without bootloader... maybe i could edit stock firmwares for my phone.
You can edit stock rom without the risk of hardbrick.just upack your stock rom then delete bootloader then download a software to create tar do not use tar editor because just deleting the bootloader doesn't mean odin will load it maybe because of md5.So did you send your phone to samsung.

Well... my brother know a guy who know another guy. This guy have a service or something like that. I sent the phone to him. Maybe he could do something. If not... I will try to find the famous Usb Jig for my model of mini. I found for GT-S5570 but still searching for GT-S6500D
Fixed
Well... I sent my phone to a service but there they could only fix download mode. LOL. They tried to install firmware update, but the phone was stuck in bootloop. From there, I fixed by myself.
I will ask them how did they fix it.

Once you have the cwm power+volume down press together and wait till cwm shows up. Then you can use as you probably planned to do with onlocking and flashing cwm.
On your pc you can download rom and transfer via usb /mount usb or smth like that
Then follow instructions of rom devs to install.
If that doesn't seem to work, you should force an update through the LGMobile Support Tool. Then start over again. You probably didn't unlock your bootloader properly (you can check it in the hidden menu or in S/W Upgrade mode), or you flashed a wrong recovery.. Good luck
