4.1.2 is the newest stock. All the current D4 ROMs except Eclipse are 4.2.2. You don't need to do anything more than install a ROM in a slot via safestrap.

Hi all! I have a wifi nexus 7 (unlocked and rooted with smoothrom installed) if I want to go to 4.3 do I have to update the bootloader to 4.23? If I do update the bootloader will I still be able to use a 4.2.2 rom before flashing to a 4.3 rom?
Thanks!

Think the answer is yes to both questions.
Stock kernel for the Xperia T 9.2.A.0.295 4.3 firmware!
This can be flashed via CWM, this means an update is possible without flashtool! Choose any stock based ROM, like DaRk-LoRd's deodexed firmware or the hybrid by peetr_ then flash this kernel for locked bootloaders (can be used for unlocked too)
I've tested and it works on the deodexed 4.3 update, theoretically it would work on the hybrid by peetr_ too!
This isn't really development but a stock kernel and it's probably best placed here for people to find!

Thnx, i will use this on the wife's phone...............
Will this kernel work with 4.1.2 stock .141?

No, since this is for JB 4.3 and .141 firmware is JB 4.1

OK cool, will wait patiently for cwm and root to be sorted before I upgrade to 4.3
I've an HTC One (Unlocked) running on Jelly Bean 4.3 with Sense 5.5 but the thing annoying me is latest KitKat update is not available for my region (Pakistan) yet. Is there any way to update my device without rooting or anything else? I don't wanna take any risk!
P.S. Is KitKat faster than Jelly Bean on HTC One?

No there is no way to update your device if you don't want to do anything. If you don't want to take any risk then just don't do nothing and wait for the ota update...

I was lucky to get a refurbished note 3. It came with Android 4.3 so I rooted and installed safestrap. How do I use a kitkat custom rom? Is it as easy as just flashing it? I thought you couldn't flash a rom with a differ base?
Thanks so much!
