I got both a mini pro and full size xperia (cant decide what 1 to keep!)
the camera on the x10mini pro has a awesome flash
but the x10 full size dont... but takes awesome pics and videos! :\ am i missing something here??? why dont the Fullsize have a flash!?
and is there anyway of changing the background theme easy?? i saw a tutorial on here about doing it but it seemed a lot of hassle! isnt there a theme where i can just download it and it installs like a background pic? i just want something similer but black with a neon glow?

Hi All,
I've been switching roms since I got my Z (bundled with a BE Proximus contract for 1€, yeay) but so far I keep reverting back to the stock ROM.
There are still some issues with most CM based ROMS (eg. audio bug when switching to speakerphone) and I really like the Sony camera app for it's image quality and speedy burst mode.
On the other hand: the DPI size of the UI is terrible, the app icons are soo huge and there's no way to customize how big you want things to appear on this amazing 1920x1080 screen. I tried with the xposed framework to set custom dpi's as seen in the Paranoid rom / PAC rom, but the original launcher can't handle this properly: it sticks to 4 column grid and positions things completely wrong. Also the lockscreen sliders are not scaled as well, the Phone app looks messed up, in short, it looks terrible as soon as you want any of the Sony apps to be using a different dpi. You can adjust other apps like Gmail or the Play store though.
Since Sony released an AOSP project for the Xperia Tablet Z as well, I wonder if it would be possible to use the official firmware for the Xperia Tablet Z on the Xperia Z.
Has anyone any ideas how to investigate this? I'm definitely willing to spend some time on this one, I'd love to see my phone's amazing screen being used as a Tablet Z whilst still using the same camera and other Sony optimizations.

Lots if things don't work though due to closed source proprietary drivers and there's not really much Sony can do about that.
Ok, I understand that the AOSP projects are far from finished. So my question should be then: is it possible to install a FTF file for the Xperia Tablet Z on the Xperia Z? So we could have the Xperia Tablet Z features on the Xperia Z?

No, if flashtool allows flashing it at best it wouldn't boot, at worst it would brick your XZ. Which features specifically do you want from the XTZ?
love my z5 overall - just come from a n6 after having nexuses since the first one, but always loved the omnibalance design of sony's - my green z5 is just gorgeous!
BUT - i cant help but be really disappointed in the themes - they don't actually change any of the notification shade, or barely any of the settings page.
maybe i've been spoiled with layers from customer roms, or cm themes. But wasn't it Sony that came up with RRO and put it into the code? Yet their own phone's themes are disappointing...
Oh yes.. Their themes don't change a lot, but there are a good themes like my theme " PRO PalAtial ™ " which change a lot in your phone and I will support more in the future updates..
- But the only wrong thing with it is that u must have root.
And u was using a n6 phone which don't have any themes built in.. U should flash a custom Rom to have it but in Sony it is already built in..

Hello guys, bored with stock EMUI looks? I'm always love Sony UI and i'm a fan of it, therefore i made my own customized Sony Xperia XZ3 theme for EMUI 9 users.

I always did like the sony apps in general. they seemed as close to stock android, but still being able to theme them inside the apps.
Had a mod on my s7 for the sony framework... theme's a grand idea though... great way to start it

Yup i really dig the clean looks on Sony UI. Theres a XZ3 theme i made on Honor 8 pro theme section. Framework, system UI, many apps included as Sony themed. Sadly it only works on EMUI 5 & 8 only. Starting EMUI 9, themes are limited, cant replace or change certain .xml file. Sigh.

i think the Huawei UI and Themes are **** since they dont skin the google apps so its hard to find a great theme from the original store.
I'm using the "grad icon pack" as a Lockscreen, it puts the clock in the normal place, but I'm not using the Icons
