[Q] Advice - Samsung Galaxy Mini

Hi ... I ddecided to give the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 in favor of another's phone .. or two phones. The phone are LG Nexus 4 or LG Optimus G ... are almost similar ... difference is the camera. But I want to buy from America .. and I'm in Europe.
Question is which of phone is better? Both performance and design. And if you take the phone from America ... will be a problem with sim .. meaning phone will accept my operator?

check xda. who has the most support most roms etc. buy that.

Provided your phone is "unlocked" to enable you to use sim cards from any network provider, and it is tri/quad band, you'll be fine.

[Q] Korean S3 SHV-E210K unlocking/rom change

Hello,
I'm considering getting the korean S3 and I have a couple of questions. it is might worth mentioning that It's going to be my first smartphone and I don't live in Korea.
1. Is it the same phone as the i9305?
2. Is the phone (and specifically) locked for other sims?
3. A friend of mine bought the same phone and was able to use it with a chinese sim. Will I be able to use my Israeli sim in that phone?
4. If the phone is locked, can I unlock it? if so, then how?
5. Are the Roms for i9305 are good for the korean s3 as well?
Thanks,
Gil
1. it shouldn´t be the same, as it doesn´t have the same number
2. only if you bought it together with a contract from a service provider
3. I think so, but you´ll most probably need a Micro Sim (you need that with any S3)
4. If you didn´t buy it from a provider, it shouldn´t be locked
5. i don´t think so, but you can try it out

[Q] GSM Bands and Comptability?

Hello Everyone,
I would like to know whether the S3 i9305 work in Pakistan? since a salesman told me that this phone will not work with carriers over here but he didn't seem that much literate to me.
The GSM bands we have here are 900 and 1800.. no LTE over here..
The carrier i use specifically supports these frequencies 894-902.5 / 939.9-947.5 and 1718.9-1724.9 / 1813.9-1919.9
The SIM I currently have is a mini-sim.. but my carrier will replace my sim to a micro-sim for a buck so that's no issue..
So can i get S3 i9305 and make it work on my phone and will it be compatible with my sim?
On a side note what colors are available for i9305, can you link me pictures to all available colors for the i9305?
I will be using my phone purely for browsing and a little bit of facebook / whatsapp / mild gaming ... that's why I am going for 2GB of RAM so there's plenty left even after tons of tabs and apps
Waiting for your reply..
Cheers

Well i am not that tech savvy either.. with the info that I provided imo it should work.. since this supports them.. but I would like to confirm it from you people since you all know a lot about this stuff while I have no idea.. and also.since the shopkeeper said otherwise..

Verizon Refurbished G2 ?????

Hello
i juste wanna buy an LG G2, i found everything is okay on net
but the problem is that in my country, all the international variants that they sell are " REFURBISHED", i've checked that using IOROOT method, i always find a recovery model number : D803b...... on a phone that has a model number : D802, so i realised that they are Refurbished ( by a bad a company )
so my question is: what about phones that came with operator as : Verizon VS980 , Or AT&T D800 ? are they also bad refurbished ? is it risky also to buy a Verizon or AT&T variant ? because i'm just a fan of Custom Roms and updating and etc, and i found that this is not possible with refurbished phones that i mentioned before .

one plus 3T bought in United State, does it work in Europe ?

HI everybody,
I am french but I currently live in USA. I would love buy the one plus 3t but I am not sure if it will work and I will go back to France. I am very confuse about the bands....
Thank you for you help !!
It will "work" though you will likely be unable to access LTE from most carriers in Europe. Essentially, you'll have a fully functional phone with crippled mobile data (reduced coverage, slower speeds, no VoLTE, etc.).
it must be unlocked, then yes will work
Unlocked phone will work any where in the world.
Took my oneplus 3t to India from America. Used my American sim card and got an Indian sim card as well. Both worked flawlessly, LTE included for Indian sim card. Phone is unlocked will work all over the world.
thank you for your answer, In the one plus' website is impossible to choose the europe version... Do you know where I can find it ?
because i am still confuse couse in this website willmyphonework.net they told me that in 4G LTE network "it may work" :crying:

The US model only supports LTE bands 1/2/4/5/7/8/12/17/30; Its not a true world phone. You'll get voice, text, and 3G data. Now for LTE, band 7 is the only band that some European carriers use so that may work if you are connected via band 7 and is available in that area.
I don't know why Oneplus didn't just include the European models LTE
Thank you for your answer. I m gonna think about if I buy it or not :/
Yeah it is not very commercial to send just the american version...

You should be fine. All French carriers are using LTE band 7 too. You can check here:

You're lucky beacause I talk with them also and they don't want to send me the EU version one. I will not take the risk to buy the american version, I m gonna see an other phone...
Thank you for your help, I think Im not gonna take the risk to buy the US version and after it doesn't work very well in France... They don't want to send me the UE version so I m gonna see an other brand.

will LTE GW3 work with any e-sim?

Hi Everybody,
I am about to upgrade my Galaxy Watch to the latest model. I would like to take the opportunity to get the LTE version, so I can get rid of one of my phones. The problem is that in my country (Italy) LTE version is not for sale, and I doubt will ever be.
I have done my homeworks and I can get the watch i want from UK or eastern europe, and I can also buy an e-sim from TIM, a local carrier.
My simple question is: will it work ? I am afraid the carrier will not activate the line on a non-officially supported HW (although they support Galaxy watch). E-sim is still a mysterious world for TIM tech support, so I hope someone here can help...
thank you!
GG
Hi again, here is a simpler query:
- did anyone activate the Galaxy watch 3 Lte with a carrier in a country different from the country of purchase? E-sim is a new tricky matter where i have zero experience, and I am really afraid of wasting money on a cellular function that will never work... hope that someone will help!!
Thank you!
Hello,
I have LTE but it's in same country. I think country does not matter.
When you start the watch first time, it proposes you to connect to LTE thru e-sim with the same carrier as your smartphone.
All i had to do was to click on the subscribe button for an e-sim, directly... It was all proposed by the watch and smartphone itself for my carrier.
So i'd guess that there will be no issue... cannot confirm it 100% though
There is no need to buy an e-sim separately if you have it available at your phone carrier, for me it was just a monthly 5€ sub. in addition to my phone bill. The connexion was instantly available as soon as i clicked sub.
I'm in France... and i assume the watches are same as many europe countries (DE, Swiss, Italy, FR, etc) since they proposed these when i started the watch, but there was no UK proposed so might be different watch there...?
Thanks for the answer,!
In italy the lte version is exclusive to a carrier, that will not release it soon, so the only way to get right now is buying it abroad.
I often buy phones in other countries, and they always worked: bur with e sim this now is far from certain as the phones IMEI must be activated by the carrier ( see the ' sprint' thread here in this forum), like in the old pre-GSM times.
That is why I was hoping someone had a similar experience, thanks anyway!
I'm in UK, got it from Samsung so not network branded, and during activation it just asked if I wanted to enable it on the phone as I went through activation. Went to my carriers e-sim sign up (same page as the watch '1' used) and hey presto it all worked.
That was on EE BTW, but know that Vodafone works in UK too, think only three don't have an esim option here at the moment, as I'm sure a friend had his 1 on O2 (Telefonica)
