So I just used S-off to take my HTC one back to stock Rogers using the WWE RUU from the RUU collection thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874&highlight=hboot
This was the exact RUU I used:
RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_BrightstarUS_WWE_1.29.1540.3.exe
I then used the Rogers nandroid from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42523447&highlight=rogers#post42523447
(M7 CWM Nandroid Backup / CID ROGER001 / 1.29.631.4 )
I installed this by using fastboot to boot into CWM and restore the nandroid backup without actually installing CWM.
The issue I am having now is that when I want to go into the stock recovery all I get is a red triangle with an exclamation point. Is there something I did wrong in this process?
Lol that is the stock recovery...
When you use an RUU, it returns the phone to a completely stock state. So now, you need to flash TWRP or CWM to get your custom recovery back.

Hi,
I did the following procedure
1. Unlock bootloader using HTC-dev site.
2. Take nandroid backup of stock ROM.
3. Installed Sabsa prime v15
Now I want to go back to stock ROM.
4. recovery says restore complete of Nandroid backup.
5. I flash boot.img from nandroid backup (I am on S-ON)
6. the phone boots up and directly goes to recovery instead of normal boot.
How can I get back to my stock ROM now?

Yeah, I had to do the same... I downloaded the RUU from htcdev and flashed. But I am not sure why nandroid restore didnt work. Is it because i was on S-ON?
Try this

Sabsa prime Rom has this issue, it doesn't get completely wiped off with factory reset.
In the recovery go to advanced, format /system.
After this restore from CWM. After the restore gets completed, flash the boot.img file from fastboot usb mode.
No, again go to recovery and select reboot.
I hope this will work.
Is it possible to backup the stock (4.22) recovery from my HTC__E11 HTC One?
I want to root my device so i can use Helium without the PC.
I've rooted my device before using a custom recovery but i had problems putting the stock recovery back so i could get the 4.22 OTA. I probably tried to flash the wrong version for my device.
So this time i want to make sure i can reflash the right recovery either by backing up my current version or getting the right recovery for my device.
Anyone can shed some light on this?
Go here.
Donwload your firmware.zip and extract from the zip the: "recovery.img", after this, flash it as a recovery
Thanks. Will do it right now so that i have it for the next OTA
While trying to unroot my HTC one, I have followed the steps to relock the bootloader, which it worked with no errors.
I have used the following RUU <M7 CWM Nandroid Backup / CID HTC__039 / 1.29.980.2 (Australia Unbranded ) "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874"
While trying to flash the RUU using command prompt, I always got "Signatures error" while trying to check the signature.
I am currently using "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183023" Custom RUU and it is Rooted as mentioned above.
PLEASE HELP!!!! I would like to Unroot my HTC One M7
Thanks
1) You aren't using a ruu, but you're using a backup.
So, you have to use it with the CWM recovery!
2) Yes, you're using the "stock" rom with root.
THANKS!!!

Your LEGEND!!!!! Can you help me on how would I do it with CWM recovery?
THANKS HEAPSSS
You have to download the cwm recovery and flash it in fastboot.
After, booting in this, and restore the backup.

Hello,
I want to go back to stock factory image.
I am now on ARHD 12.3 with S-ON and stock CID and ROOT but want to go back to the orignal factory rom to get all the OTA updates.
And maybe it is possible to go back to stock to get the OTA's and still able to backup rom with custom recovery?
I want to do it as follow:
- Make a nandroid backup (TWRP)
- Copy backup to pc for safekeeping
- Use the RUU for the HTC M7_UL european
Now i am 100% stock right or do i forget something?
Thanks

if you want to get OTA updates you need stock recovery too and relocked bootloader...

Sorry but I believe you are wrong, you do not have to have a locked bootloader to get ota updates.
i just flashed a stock nandroid backup (from the internet), then i flashed stock recovery and locked the bootloader Everythis i now stock and i get official OTA. But i dont have a custom recovery
Stock recovery won't prevent the OTA from downloading, but it will prevent it from installing.
There is no need to relock the Bootloader. Restore stock nandroid and stock recovery and you are good to go.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
ok i thought you need to relock too, but i guess i'm wrong but stock recovery is necessary..
hello there,
i own an htc one m7 from o2 uk CID o2__001 . More specific the phone was routed and i decided to go back to the stock rom in order to get the updates , when accidentally i erased the system files and the phone now has no OS.
The main problem is that the phone is S-ON HBOOT 1.57 and doesnt allow me to change the CID in order to install any rom. I think the only way to get this thing work is to find an RUU or rom.zip file of the version 5.21.206.3 which was the previous and original one. Both CWM and TWRP recoveries fails to install any rom except the revolution hd which uses aroma installer, but it also fails in the end of the process , it throws me back to recovery when it starts to boot.
I tried to turn the S to Off but i read that the phone has to be able to boot to the main screen which is impossible at this time .
i would appreciate if anyone could find the suitable rom for my phone or at least if someone can backup his rom and give me the backup files.
if there is any other way to make the phone work i would be pleased to inform me !
thanks in advance
Chris

latest ruu for your version is a dowgrade and will require s-off to be flashed. Unless you find a nandroid backup of your version, you'll have to s-off in order to restore your phone back to stock.
Which version of twrp are you using?
The latest ruu i have found is the 4.20.206.16, but it stucks at 5% and either gives the error (htc_fastboot stoped working) with twrp recovery but just stacks there without the error if i use cwm or the stock of the 5.21.206.3. If i try to push it manualy it returns an error that the file is verry big. The newest recoveries that i can use is twrp 2.6.0.3 and cwm 6.0.3.1 and doesnt accepts any newer version of them, if i use newer it starts bootloop. I m 99% sure that if give me a nandroid backup it will work for sure.

you can not flash 4.20.206.16 RUU over 5.21.206.3, it require s-off. For ARHD, you need twrp 2.6.3.3 in order to flash it correctly. Try updating twrp to 2.6.3.3:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-boodloader
Thank you Alray for your help you are the best it worked as you said
