Hey guys,
I got a factory unlocked HTC One from the official online retail store. Lately, I discovered that my phone only works with the beats earphone that bundles with the phone.
I have tried to plug in other earbuds but the phone just doesn't detect/register it -- sound still comes out from the phone speaker. Those other earbuds are working fine on my PC and MP3 player.
Currently, I am using an app called Soundabout to remedy the problem. But I don't want to rely on that app in long run. Any thoughts or solutions on this issue? Thanks!
You should send it back

Weird thing. Just tried my One using Sennheiser's and even using those extremely cheap given in trains and both work as expected.
Have you tried those other phones in several different devices? Just to be sure...
I think you shoul contact support.

Hi all,
Did anyone experience this? While using a bluetooth headset, after call ended, music will autoplay?
I'm using DELL BH200, and am on unrooted stock 2.3.6. No other music player installed, just the stock player.
Google around but unable to find a solution...
Anyway to disable this annoying autoplay?
Regards,
Silverbold17
Annoying autoplay?
You must be one of the few ones around who doesn't want this great feature.

Not that I don't want this feature, but auto play after every single call ended is really annoying...especially if you're using your BT headset for phone call purposes...

I had this problem with my Atrix and my Infuse. I use Bluetooth thru my truck stereo for all calls. I posted a request for help in the Atrix forums. Someone suggested using an app called Autorun Manager . I did not try it because I sold my Atrix soon after the request.
Hope this helps

Had seen this suggestion on other forum but it seems like Autorun Manager require ROOT access which I don't have on my stock 2.3.6...
For those of you having Bluetooth issues, make sure you didn't delete the Music.apk in system/app
Yes, I know the stock music player sucks so deleting it makes sense but it turns out Bluetooth can't function properly without it.
Restoring it fixed all my Bluetooth issues! Use a file manager to yank it from the Broken Out ROM zip and back to system/app.

Thank you! I can use Torque with Broken Out now!

Hey man, glad to hear it. It's so funny, Torque is the only reason I use Bluetooth! Guess we were in the same boat on that one!
Torque is great, why pay a repair shop $90 for a "diagnostic" when we can do it ourselves with Torque!
bt fix
That's a cool simple fix if you removed the stock music app.
But for those that may have other bt issues, especially after flashing beats, try pulling the settings.apk from the base rom and replacing the one on your phone.
Thanks to SPC for the fix. Link: http://androidforums.com/esteem-all-things-root/477937-theme-gingerfusion3-9-bluetooth-fixed-1-26-2012-a-4.html
Just don't use any of the files from the post as they are for the esteem. I can't guarantee it would work or what would happen. But my wife had this exact issue after I flashed beats, and now everything works fine.

My problem is a little different. I am Using Broken out 1.1; when in car Dock,Com.android.phone crashes after every call. While that in itself is a minor Glitch, It KILLS my bluetooth requiring a reboot to reconnect. Had the same problem with Gingervolt & gave up.
I use my bluetooth exclusively in my car and otherwise LOVE Broken Out 1.1
I have an idea i am going to check out later this weekend. But if anyone has any insight, it would be appreciated. Perhaps Phone ap is different
Well after some research I believe it has to do with Car Mode. While LG Car home App su..... Is less than desireable. Appearently When in car mode the phone app looks for it after disconnecting. when it deosnt find it Bad things happen.
I have been experimenting with different car mode & personal assistant apps. I think I will try my hand at modding mye own & see where I go from there.
I'm having issues with connecting. I've only tried pairing with another phone. Going to try and pair with a BT speakerphone tonight. I looked up that Torque app and it looks awesome. Would like to try it out but don't want to invest in the adapter if my BT doesn't work.
Phone: Lg Revo (vs910) with Broken Out ROM, supercharged, thunderbolted, and ported Beats Audio files. I still have the stock music app and use it regularly.
EDIT: The device pairs but will not connect. Trying Bt'ing a picture to a friend and fails every time.
Holy crap I am so happy! Never been able to get my BT to work on any rom because I was removing the music app immediately! Thanks so much!

Haha same here! Amazing how many of us did that and scratched our heads trying to figure out why BT never worked! Who would have guessed in a million years that Bluetooth depended on the stock music app...so retarded

I have now tried a couple of different earphones and also a couple of earphone button apps, but I still can't skip tracks with the mic button double tap - the phone instead re-dials the last used phone number.. I am beginning to think it may be a fatal flaw in the phone.
Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks

I got a set of urbeats bundled with the phone. They allow the skip track and other features perfectly.

With mine, I got a similar set but it was not branded as urbeats.
Did yours have more than 1 button, ie. A dedicated skip track button, or do you have to double tap the singular mic button like me?
Are you using the default music player?
Thanks

Here is a pic of the controls. Works on the default player.
Can test a few more players if you like.
Thank you very much for your help. I now know what I need to at last get the track change stuff working.

Where did you purchase these if you don't mind my asking? I've never seen beats that say they're specifically for HTC phones..
I got them free from Phones4u.

I also have the urbeats headphones and the next and previous tracks buttons work perfectly on both the stock player and the Google music player. On the pocketcasts app they skip forward or backward 20 seconds. In short these headphones seem to work perfectly with the HTC One and have great sound quality too. I also got them free from phones4u.

The urbeats headphones were only given to the first 500 people who preordered the phone. I'm sure the op is talking about the headphones that come bundled with the phone itself. The headphones that come in the box don't allow track skipping, only play, pause & accept calls

If the remote is built into the headphones it should work yes? I have the earpod from apple will they work? (or other apple headphones with remote built in)
Also have a white pair of in ear beats with remote
Will these work to change the songs??

I have tried one time a Iphone 4 headphone on a HTC Device and it works perfectly. The only issue is the volume up & down doesn't work. But play, pause, next, previous track, mic all work flawlessly.

Beats Wireless work perfectly with Poweramp ^_^
I don't know if this is a new "feature" but I hate it. I listen to spotify all day at work and I don't like having my phone on vibrate when it's on my desk. Every other phone I have used would route notifications through the headset when it's plugged in but on the One it always plays through the speakers. I don't want my ringer on at work and now I am forced to keep it on silent so I'm missing texts unless I keep checking my phone.
Ppl have recommended soundabout from the play store and it has worked on other phones but it doesn't work for the One. Any advice?

I got a brand new HTC One delivered today and after turning it on to try the audio and check the difference with/without beats I realised I couldn't turn it on. Tried to plug the headphones, nothing changed, looked into the settings again not change. I tried without FM radio, HTC Music, Youtube app, Google Play Music app and the end result was always the same, no change.
Does anyone knows how to fix this? I search and haven't found any solution on XDA neither in the whole web.
