I know this isnt the right place for it but there wasnt A forum for Kyocera Hydro.
My gf phone is a kyocera hydro and its on 4.0.4
She was playing around on my phone with the xenon rom and loved all the 4.2 gapps.
Can those be flashed to her phone?
Or can i at least take the texting app and install it on her phone?
It virgin, but I know a root is available.
Your definitely in the wrong place man. Why don't you at least go to forum for that manufacturer.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX
Give your phone to your gf and you can use her phone. So she can enjoy all 4.2 apps
Ok. If I flashed back to stock 4.1.1 could I install apps from the ROM I'm on now?

Hello this is my first time here and this is very different than the xperia play section. Well my friend has a moto droid and.I would like to know how to.root it and unlock the bootloader. Also what is the fastest and most stable rom? Thank you for your time

...first off, wrong section. This should be in Q&A.
Second off following any of the below advice is at your own risk (mainly because this is 100% from memory and I can remember things wrong sometimes ). Before you trust what I tell you I recommend reading the Q&A section, as I assure you you're not the first person to ask how to root the first android phone to be offered by Americas largest carrier.
The OG Droid doesn't require anything to unlock the boot loader, its not locked.
Since its on such an outdated version of android pretty much any generic one click root tool should work to get root. Try super one click or the like. From there you should be able to use rom manager to flash a current recovery. Then just put one of the fine roms from these here development forums on the SD card and have fun.

Can someone post a guide or someting about how to make the phone faster? anyway want rom do u recommend?
Do a search on here, there have been plenty of threads, also check out droid forums, they have stuff too. That's how I learned a lot just reading. Once you've rooted its easy. A good app to check out since you're rooted is rom manager, set cpu, titanium backup, wireless tether, file manager. Always make a nandroid backup before flashing a rom or kernel( provides overclock)

Yes I have those apps on my xplay. Thanks for being so helpful. I'll check out the droid forums and do more researching here. Btw I think my friend doesn't care if I should do this for them anymore. You know how those people who know nothing about these things are

you can download rsd lite and flash the clockworkmod recovery spf. It won't root your phone, but it will give you a recovery(which is better). Now just install your custom rom. I recommend cyanogenmod 7 or steel droid for stability and speed, their also pre-rooted, maybe find a Overclocked kernel if you want INSANE speeds...
Cyanogenmod 7 for droid 1: http://oss.reflected.net/stable/update-cm-7.1.0-Droid-signed.zip
Google Apps: http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
Steel Droid 10.5(I REALLY RECOMMEND this is what I USE, it's also overclocked to 1ghz) http://bravo.d-h.st/PfV?key=1340527851
SN:Google apps not needed with steel droid.
If you need more help here's a guide: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Motorola_Droid_2:_Full_Update_Guide
Hope this helps you friend... There may come a time when you have to do all the research yourself... if so remember, Google's your friend too!!!:good:

I want to root my Atrix HD so I want to downgrade to stock but i already tried to do the whole RSDlite thing and I have gotten nowhere. PLEASE HELP!!!
Its not yet possible to downgrade from JB to ICS. Once you're on JB and no backup of root from ICS you're stuck until further notice. Sorry for that.
You are not the only one...there are thousands of us with the same problem. nothing we can do but wait for a new root method. no going back to ics....sell your phone, buy a new one with ics on it,and go from there.

Oh but that would require actual work on their part, and we can't have that can we?
Join the club, there are tons of us who'd kill to go back to ICS. BreakShadow has a point though, there are a good bit of posts with this same question. Don't be afraid to look through the forums first. =)

The issue is that the ROM AOKP 4.2.2 in my Motorola Atrix HD is not working properly, the games get freeze, some aplications as well, and I have to reboot the device in order for me to use some other aplications.
Is your phone overclocked? If so, you might want to underclock back to stock or maybe flash a different kernel.

If u made a backup. . Flash it..but first if I was u.I would take a breather. Calm down. .watch some of qbking77 videos on YouTube. He spoon feed it to you. .search your phone on xda and Google.. do your research. .

You'll need to unlock your bootloader to install custom ROMs. As for root apps, there are a lot but to name a few: Root Browser, AdFree, Clean Master, Greenify, Startup Manager, and if you're going to be flashing ROMs, Titanium Backup, I cannot recommend the pro version enough.
Sent from my MB886 using xda app-developers app
Thanks I have safestarp and am running inflikted...any good ROMs you'd reccomend...I have clean master and root explorer to pro....I was not a fan of titanium back up...maybe it was just a bit confusing to me

Don't use safestrap with an unlocked bootloader man. Your setting yourself up for failure. It's mentioned at least a hundred times. Hell even in the title of the safestrap thread.

Delete what ever partition you created with ss. Then start your phone and go into the app and click uninstall. Then use myth tools to flash cwm.

Hell, I have small fingers and it's an issue. I always have to be very careful selecting "+++Go Back+++" after I tap the wrong option so as not to erase anything like user data.
