It could also be the USB port you're charging from. Despite USB standing for Universal Serial Bus, the amount of power given out for charging varies wildly depending on things such as cables, what device the USB port is on as well as the device being charged itself.

I second mrguy's opinion. I have lots of usb sources and cables lying around, some combinations I already labelled as slow charging, in the sense it takes whole day to charge, others charge from almost 0 to full in an hour or two. on same viper rom and stock kernel..

Just made this, this morning. It needs rewiring, I used a otg cable I ordered that was defective/non working for whatever reason.
Anyone have a diagram of how it needs to be wired to get it working?
Found this, but it's beyond me.. anyone know how, but in simple terms? Haha
Oh and the adapter i made is 1.5 inches long (after plugged in with usb cruzer fit and in the n7) Would of tried to make it smaller, but had nothing smaller to use as a housing for it. It's small enough though

I'm new to all this but why can't someone make something very tiny like above that plugs directly into the micro USB port?
I mean I know it can't be that small since a micro SD card can't fit into a micro USB port but idk just not crazy about a cord even tho I bought one with a 90 degree turn which I am waiting on and will probably be paired with this usb card reader.
Just curious...

This is perhaps one of the most detailed and beautiful icon themes out there. The ONLY thing I carried over from my iphone. Wish more Android app icons were made for it tho.
Great work tho.. Definitely using that XDA icon.

I am running Nameless ROM v5.0.0 and was wondering if it's possible to get rid of the htc lock screen. I did read in the nameless thread that deleting a htc file will get the lock screen, but which one? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Htclockscreenlite(better move it instead of deleting it)
But it's a bit buggy. When receiving a call you can't see who is calling until you unlock first. I prefer it either way.
And Merry Christmas!

Unfortunately, due to the screen size of this phone, you can't. Look at the HTC Wildfire S running a CyanogenMod rom. The bit is cut off, but I can live with it. Going to back up in CWM incase anything goes wrong
Look at this video http://youtu.be/_mMBOmBFBe0?t=42s
Oh, i see. Thanks anyway, im going back to the htc ring

SeannyM's explos!on ROM uses trebuchet lockscreen which is pretty much stock ics. So my advice is to flash that ROM!

Have just got the Sp it is not rooted. I have read about the brightness not varying very much but wondered is there an app or can you use the power management function to set the brightness to go higher or lower at a set time.

Actually that has not worked for me neither. Tried several apps and messed with all the settings but none of the automatic functions have birghtened enought the screen in the sunlight or they have worked similar to the stock function.
Are you sure???? Yaab is working perfectly for me.

I have since uninstalled this after flashing the .257 that is posted And the brightness issue is no longer an issue.... don't know why.
Yes I had it set up how you posted.
What I really wanted was something like alarm clock but for brightness so I could set time to have full brightness while at work then half brightness when at home and near no light for when I am in bed.
This might not be possible or available but if anybody knows then please let me know.

Hello,
I have recently bought galaxy note, which was already 1.5 year old.
I've heard that the users had to change the battery after 1 year of using.
So here's my problem.
The phone needs 2h to charge the battery from about 5% to 100% and I can use it only for 3h when the screen is on whole time.
Watching a movie uses about 35%.
My dad has note 2. He can use it whole day long and his batt isn't empty by the evening. Ok it has 3100mah instead of 2500, but the difference shouldn't be so big?
Here are some screenshots:

You think my battery is dead?
Are there some special behaviours that indicate the battery is old already?
Cause I remember there were some on my old X10.
Also could You post some of Your battery stats if possible?
You can look for background apps. But if the battery is old it will be like that.

I already did. When the screen and wifi are of the battery lasts good. But whenever some activity is there it goes down like hell.
So would You recommend replacing it?

Ok, I've ordered new one. We will see if the battery life will improve
Nope, new battery hasn't improved the battery life
What battery did you buy and what rom/kernel are you on?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I was on cm10.2. The battery lasted 3h when screen was on.
I bought for 100% original battery and went back to ics. I also removed as many as possible autostart apps. Now the battery lasts about an hour longer.
Whenever I turn on the WiFi the battery drain increases rapidly.
